"You got your phone and charger power bank?"

"Yes"I put things in Key's book bag for her day of protesting, she made it her mission to go out on the frontlines and demand justice for victims of police brutality and murder

"Frozen milk?"

"Yeah it's still sitting in the freezer until I leave"

I gave her a gas mask to put on while I stuffed water, towels and snacks. I couldn't be there with her due to my meetings but I wanted her to be prepared for shit to go left.

"If shit go left what you gonna do first?"

"Find a safe place and call you for you to come get me"

"What else?" I put the book bag on her back zipping it up.

"If they arrest me don't fight because you will bail me out within an hour"

I turned her around kissing her forehead, shit like this was no joke and I wanted Key to be safe and protected the whole time she was out there protesting.

"I love you and what you getting ready to do but let me catch one thing on the news about shit getting out of hand and I'm coming out there to get you"

"I love you too and I'll be fine" She kissed me on the lips.

I believed she would be fine because I wouldn't let shit go bad for her, there would be a few security guards following behind her at a distance protecting her from afar to put my mind at ease when I was at my meetings.

"Alright I'm going to drop you off as close as I can and I'll pick you up when you ready to go if I'm not available still call me and I'll send somebody to scoop you"

"Yes dad"

"Look I'm just making sure you safe and out of harms way you got me and the kids to come home to"

"Home, right" She scoffed smartly but covered it up with a playful smile.

"What's that little smart comment about? you got a problem with how we living say the word and we can move you in"

"Yeah move me into your house not our home I rather continue saving and start looking for a new apartment for Kam and myself to move into

That wasn't in my plans for her to continue to be on her own when we were married, my plan was her to move in once it got out to everyone that we were married.

"We can talk about this more later tonight cause I'm not really on board with your idea maybe we can talk and come to some common ground"

"Alright later though"

Key called herself dismissing me, I reached out grabbing her arm.

"If you feel someway just speak up and we can handle it"

My sign read " Who do you call when the murderer wears a badge" I stood face to face with multiple Caucasian officers standing arm and arm with my people loudly chanting.

"I CAN'T BREATHE"

The officers stood like statues but you could feel how thick the tension was in the air, one false move and this could go from peaceful to a riot.

"Why do ya'll need all this gear it's suppose to be a peaceful protest but yet ya'll dressed like we are armed?"

A woman shouted into the face of an officer his hand reached for his side snatching a can of pepper spray out airing out our whole section, I cough blindly pushing forward to find a way out but instead was blasted with another round of pepper spray.

"She can't see stop spraying her! she's not doing anything" I heard by standers shouting in my defense " Anybody have milk?"

"I-I have some in my bag help her first" I squeezed my eyes shut tight letting them go in my bag to take out the half a gallon of milk and help the lady that caught it the worst first then myself.

"Back the fuck up or you will be shot with rubber bullets"

I couldn't see to run or get my phone out to message Nipsey to let him know if he seen or heard anything I was okay.

A little pepper spray wasn't going to run me off or shut me up. This was their way of trying to silence us and I wasn't playing.

The pop sounds sent the crowd into a mayhem, I could feel my bookbag being grabbed and me getting yanked back.

" Don't trip I'm just helping you"

A shooting pain went up my thigh and my hip. I gritted in pain still blind to what was happening around me.

"Here tilt your head back" I did like I was told getting the milk poured into my eyes and on my arms and neck that were burning.

"I can't open my eyes"

"Kierra my name is Eric and my boy Derrik we were hired by Nip to protect you during the protest so we gonna lay you down and try to help you out with your eyes"

"Don't contact him please I can't leave I just started"

I couldn't cry because my eyes burned too much to even do that, I just knew I couldn't give up over some pepper spray and rubber bullets. The security helped wash my eyes out as much as they could and allowed me to open my eyes slightly to see the blood running down my leg.

"What's that?"

"You got hit by two rubber bullets no worries we have alcohol and gauze"

Eric helped me up once he was done with bandaging my leg neither him or Derrik stopped to call Nipsey or tried to make me leave.

"Back up or you will be shot with rubber bullets"

I gritted my teeth trying to get balanced on my feet, I was tired of being fucking threatened, I was tired of being attacked by the police when me and my people weren't threats.

"Ya'll can go but I'm standing my ass right here"

The security stood beside me on each side shaking their heads standing tall in the middle of Crenshaw Boulevard with their chest out looking out at the police approaching us.

" Back up or you will be shot with tear gas and rubber bullets this is our last warning!"

The officer shouted through the megaphone, I stepped up a little more.

"WE NOT GOING NO FUCKING WHERE! SHOOT BITCH"

The tears formed in my eyes because I was angry and ready for war with the dirty police, they threw a can of tear gas in the air I watched it closely holding out my hands catching it, I breathed out heavily tossing it with all my strength back at the cops.

"Grab and arrest her" I knew I wasn't suppose to fight but when you got picked on more than once by the same person you got fed up and I was all the way fed up of being treated like a fucking threat just for my skin color.

They started shooting rubber bullets and I still stood beside Nipsey's body guards letting the rubber bullets bounce off the three of us.

I gritted my teeth and balled my fist taking the pain, I wanted cameras to catch everything they were doing to us when we were not causing any problems.

"Look" I saw the crowd returning with glass bottles and big ass rocks and bricks making all of the bitch ass officers in riot gear retreat except for one officer who called himself being tough approaching me with a zip tie to make an arrest.

"Turn around"

"Fuck you I ain't going nowhere"

His nose flared grabbing my arm and before the body guards could jump in I started swinging and I wasn't surprised when he swung back but I wasn't backing down throwing blow for blow until the Eric and Derrik jumped in to help fight him off it didn't take long for him to run off behind his boys.

"Excuse me Ms. my name is Omar Jimenez I'm a journalist with CNN can you tell me what just happened here with you and the officers just a moment ago?"

He put his mic out and I'm sure I looked tore up from my puffy red eyes to the cuts and bruises starting from my face all the way down to my legs.

" Like usual black women and men being attacked just for the color of our skin we literally were protesting peacefully and they were the aggressors you saw how they shot us with those rubber bullets and stood not even a foot away from us and sprayed us with pepper spray"

From my peripheral I saw the cops returning and throwing more tear gas that the journalist was blind to because his back was faced to me, a can rolled by us and I bent down chucking it back at the officers.

" As you can see the scene here on Crenshaw Boulevard the crowd seems to be pretty peaceful and the officers clearly are the ones getting everyone amped up with the actions they are taking during a peaceful protest, Miss what is your name?"

I smirked knowing this would be my first time announcing myself as Nipsey's wife, I leaned down into the mic.

"My name is Kierra Asghedom"

"Asghedom? any relation to Nipsey Hussle?"

"Yes he's my husband" The reporters mouth dropped and held his hand out to me to shake.

"Wow you guys we have Nipsey Hussle's wife on air right now, we have video from yesterday of what happened when he was pulled over yesterday"

"LAPD pulled him over with our kids in the backseat over the suspicion of guns in his car and instead of asking to search they instead drew guns on my kids and husband along with myself when I ran in" I talked trying to catch my breath, my adrenaline was pumping.

"Is that apart of the reason you are out here protesting?"

"Yes and to support my people and get justice for those brutalized and murdered by the biggest gang in America"

"Thank you for taking a moment to speak with us Kierra and tell Nipsey we said hello"

Another two cans rolled up on us and I grabbed both walking closer to the cops with the crowd right behind me we all started throwing tear gas and whatever we had to fight back.

"Fuck they shit up!"

Just having flash backs of having the gun pointed into my forehead and chest made me more angrier that they were still attacking innocent people, I grabbed a broken metal pole approaching a cop car.

"THIS FOR POINTING A GUN AT MY HUSBAND!" I swung the pole shattering the driver side window, the crowd cheered me on.

"THIS FOR POINTING A GUN AT MY FUCKING KIDS!"

I smashed a window out for each kid before the crowd joined me in destroying the cop car. I felt a little better turning to the body guards who still stood beside me and never tried to stop me once.

"Hand me that shit" I tossed one of the body guards the pole, he swung it like he was hitting a home run taking out the back window passing it to the other body guard Derrik.

I watched a young man with a red gasoline can pouring into the car, he smiled looking back at me going in his pockets taking out a book of matches handing it over to me

"You do the honors"

If this was the only way to get our voices heard then I was down with it, taking the matches I sparked one staring at before tossing it inside sending the cop car up in flames.

I took the time to get my phone out to record what was going on around me, my phone was booming with missed calls and text messages but one stood out the most making me laugh in the serious moment I was in.

: Bring your Black Panther ass back to the store, I'm worried about you and when I shoulda been worried about the cops who had to face you, come back Angela Davis ya time up.
