《Elves Of Old Series : Unforeseen Events》Chapter 13 Caspian

Upon arriving at the villa I heard a male voice. It was sarcastic and teasing.

Eragon turned to me. Gently skimming his thumb over the slight cut on my cheek, where Arramen had hit me and his ring had grazed my skin enough to make it bleed.

“Are you alright?” then in a quieter voice “I’ll kill him for harming you.” His eyes were deadly serious.

“I’m fine. It doesn’t hurt that much.” I knew that he knew I was lying but he let the matter drop.

Morena ran out of the library. “I thought I heard your voice.” She flung her arms around me, she pulled back. “What happened to you?” she said looking at my face.

“It was Arramen, and so was this” Eragon said pointing at his still bleeding nose.

The elf, Caspian, walked over to us. “Arramen did that?" Pointing at Eragons nose "Seams he’s finally grown a spine.” Caspian lowered his hand once he saw me. “And who are you my very pretty female?”

“I’m Luna. I trust you are Caspian. Correct?”

“That is correct. It seams my reputation exceeds me”

Everyone laughed, even Septimus did a quiet snigger.

“Are all you hyenas quite finished?” Lysandrea said. None of us had noticed her walking in from shopping in the city.

“Go clean your selves up. Caspian, Morena, Lysandrea and I will wait for you two in the library.” Said Septimus’s calm voice. Without another word he took the others in to the library and Eragon took me to the infirmary.

After cleaning my face I saw the cut was not bad. So I just washed it and left it. Eragon’s nose had stopped bleeding and he was wiping his face from blood. Should I ask Eragon to teach me and week if he doesn't I have the rest of his inner circle who might be willing.

Eragon looked at me strangely.

“What?” I asked

“A thought for a thought, my dear.”

“Arramen refused to teach me useful things like how to make a fire and how to use weapons. I was considering asking you if you would teach me instead. Your turn.”

“Yes of course I will teach you. I was just thinking; Do you love him?”

I was rendered speechless for a moment. “No. I never have. I only stayed with him because I had nowhere else to go. He was the first person to show me even some semblance of kindness when I arrived here. And well I felt guilty that I had practically destroyed his court when I left. So I don't know why you would think that."

"You are aware that he believes you love him and stayed because of that. Right?"

I widened my eyes. Oh My Days.

Eragon silently chuckled at my expression. "You are under no obligation to stay with him. His court is rebuilt and stable. You can do as you please.

We met the others in the library, and we were all chatting, but I wasn’t really listening. Organising my thoughts and deciding what I was going to do with my situation with Arramen took all of my attention.

A sharp sound brought me back to the present. I realised it was a knock as Eragon stood to answer it. He cam back with an old woman. She was wearing a black cloak that was in shreds and her dress was also black that had a mixture of mud and ash all over it. Without saying anything she hobbled up to me.

Find it and restore order before it’s too late. A hissing voice echoed in my mind, Take four only three will return. Do not take four and none will return. Balance needs two equals. Stay with the smell of love. Leave sea air behind. What you shall seek may destroy you if you do not accept your-"

“What is she saying?” Complained Lysandrea cutting of the last word of the old lady. When no one replied, she shouted “Tell me! I have the right to know. I am the best and most powerful out of all of us here. Therefore I should know.”

The old woman quietly slipped out of the room and closed the front door after her, as my gaze slid to Lysandrea I could bearly contain my anger. If she had just stayed quiet for a few more seconds I would have heard the last word of the old woman.

“She said to shut up for once in your life Lysandrea, if your ego got any bigger your head would explode.” I snapped, rising to my feet. I was going to go to my balcony to think over what was said.

A bit harsh of me? Maybe but I was figuratively (not literally, I couldn't do that. Only shapeshift) seething fire.

Lysandea’s face went completely shocked but a split second later she snarled and her face darkened a few shades. I had embarreses her and angered her. It was all the warning I got before she launched herself at me. The force of her propelled me back wards nocking me over, but her force was too strong so she and I both went flying. As we rolled across the floor. I shifted into a grey wolf and managed to move myself so I could stop us rolling and I would be able to pin her down so she couldn’t throw me off.

I snarled in her face, a low growl erupting from my throat. In her eyes I could see my massive and sharp teeth.

“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!” I heard. I breathed in the sent. There was kindness, anger and determination in the air. I realised they were the scents of Morena, Lysandrea and Caspian.

With a final bearing of my teeth and another growl at Lysandrea I got off her satisfied I had made a point and tured to look straight at Caspian. He had a long silver sward in his hands. The sword was so elegant like something out of the Lord of the rings, and I was surprised it was pointed at me.

Remembering he didn’t know I could shapeshift and that I was a wolf I suddenly understood the action. I looked at Morena, she kepped looking from where I had sat to, before Lysandrea leapt at me, to Lysandrea still on the floor to Caspian with his sword still trained on me, then she looked at me. Realisation made her eyebrows fly up.

“Luna, I knew you could shapeshift, but I didn’t know you were powerful enough or trained well enough to turn into a wolf.” Morena said.

“Why did no one bother to tell me that Luna could shapeshift? I could have killed her thinking it was a daemon possessing her.” said Caspian relaxing slightly, the shocked look on his face was quite amusing to look at.

Eragon’s laugh suddenly filled the room. We all looked at him, looking confused. “I couldn't hold it in any longer. The looks on your faces are so funny. Seamless shift Luna, it was wonderful by the way. I didn’t tell you Caspian so I could see your expression, I was not disappointed.”

Suddenly we were all laughing, except for Lysandrea who had finaly gotten off the floor, and was shooting me dark death glares. I snorted then padded over to Eragon and lay across his feet.
