"Step away from my husband."
It was not a request nor an order. It was a warning. A warning of what was to ensue if he didn't adhere.
"Y/N, you're a reasonable child, join my ranks and we can rule over the world. This will be my last offer."
"Reasonable? What you saw in the forest was me, being reasonable.
"I swear if I cannot bend Vallhala to see how you don't deserve to live, I will raise Hel to put you to death."
And with those words, she clasped her palms moulding the energy she held before pulling them away to reveal an elaborately carved, double-edged sword. It glowed vibrantly in the morning rays of the sun, a semicircle was cut into one side, perfect to rid a person of their head. Every death eater immediately took a step back.
"Goddamn right, you should be scared of me."
"Enough talk already." Voldemort retorted, conjuring a shield with his wand.
Y/N ran towards him at full speed, a scream leaving her lips. Her weapon came in contact with his shield, sending a shockwave strong enough to knock down the cheering crowd.
"EVERYONE INSIDE!" Mcgonnagal ushered as the children ran inside, their hands over their heads.
Skidding to a halt Y/N broke into a run again determined to attack him until he was dead. Mattheo lay on his side watching the entire spectacle with tears in his eyes. He had been pulled to the edge by Sirius, away from danger.
As their fight grew intense, Y/N pinned Voldemort down onto the floor, but as she brought her weapon back to finish the job she felt her energy start to leave her. She felt weaker than she was and that could mean only one thing, she was being possessed. Dropping everything she fell to the ground, her hands clutching her head from the horrible pain that filled it, unaware of the horrors she was about to experience.
Voldemort was working on trying to break into her brain, her thoughts, and her memories all so he could be able to manipulate her. She might be stronger than him physically but this was his way to break her from the inside. Turning the wheels and using every spell in the book it finally clicked. Y/N had let him in, unable to bear the pain any longer.
Y/N POV
Everything immediately went white. The Hogwarts grounds that we were fighting in were now a blank room.
"Mattheo?"
No reply.
"Sirius?"
No reply.
Getting to my feet I started running aimlessly to the white horizon. There was nothing to run to or from. That is until I noticed a wooden door on the far right. Sprinting towards it I realised it was made haphazardly with broken planks of wood, nails sticking out of it. Pushing it open I walked through it to ... Malfoy Manor?

I was standing in the driveway of my childhood home. Confusion took over as I looked around, before noticing someone running up to the gates. It was... me?! Seeing my 11-year-old version going up the marble steps I followed her.
She pushed open the giant door with her small hands before giggling and running inside to the living room. She held a familiar-looking letter, excitement was evident on her face.
"Mom, Dad! I got my Hogwarts letter!" She exclaimed excitedly and I remembered exactly what day it was. No no no, it cant be. I'm reliving my worst memory. I need to get out of here.
Young Y/N ran to the door of the living room and opened it just a crack as she heard her parents fighting.
"Lucius! I've had enough of you!"
"I am leaving with my children," Narcissa screamed.
"You will do no such thing!"
"Yes, I am!"
Moving his hand up he brought it down to slap Narcissa across the face. "You put one step outside that door and I promise your father and I will hunt you down."
"Fuck you!" Narcissa said, her teeth grinding against each other.
Lucius moved to the mantle and picked up an empty glass before lunging it at her, that's when young Y/N ran into the room, pushing her mom out of the way so she wouldn't get hurt. Unfortunately in the process, a shard of glass cut the skin next to her lip.
"So that's how you got that scar." I heard a deep voice startle me. Beside me stood Voldemort, clearly messing with my mind.
"I was so happy until he ruined my day," I spoke, referring to my father.
"Must be hard, having to grow up with a father like that." He said.
"It was," I admitted, unknowingly finding comfort in Voldemort's words.
"So, are you ready to give up now?" He asked.
"It is going to take a lot more than my worst memory to get me to stop," I said, staring him down.
"Very well then." He said before waving his hand once again, changing the scene. I was now in a glass cube. Wait, a glass cube? no no no no, I've had this nightmare before, no this can't happen. please.
I walked over to the edge and looked down but as soon as my eyes meet what was underneath, I leapt back in horror. All I saw were the mutilated bodies of my loved ones. Mattheo, Sirius, Remus and my friends were all lying on the floor, blood oozing out of their bodies, their faces ashen white. I watched as my tears started to flow. They aren't dead. They aren't dead. They aren't dead. I kept repeating these words in a fruitless attempt to calm myself. This was happening again, I have had this nightmare before, this isn't real!

I crouched down as I held my heart in my hands. This wasn't true. This wasn't happening to me. I placed my back against a wall as I felt an oncoming panic attack. Suddenly all the bodies started moving and they leapt onto the cube. The bodies were now plastered against the walls of the cube as I looked around in panic. They all looked like they had been through hell and none of them had eyes. It looked like they had been gouged out by someone.
As I watched, their mouths started moving and formed coherent sentences.
"This is all your fault."
"You did this to us"
"You're the reason we're dead."
"I wish I had never met you."
"Look at us! YOU DID THIS!"
The zombified bodies started repeating these words as I looked around with tears staining my clothes. I-i didn't do this! I didn't kill them! This is a dream! It's a nightmare!
"I-i didn't do this!"
"I didn't do any of this!"
I screamed at them. It was more of an effort to reassure myself rather than a scream. A feeble attempt at denying what I was seeing.
Their words overlapped and turned into noise as I looked around at them. The voices were crowding my head and I couldn't think straight anymore. I felt pain. Pain like I'd never felt before. A pounding in the back of my head.
I held my head as I crouched down and let out a loud ear-shattering scream. The bodies around convulsed and retreated at once, leaving smudges of blood on the glass.
I opened my eyes again when the voices stopped. The pain was slowly starting to fade. I took a few deep breaths trying my hardest to calm myself and find my way out of here.
I cried and sobbed into my arm. This was my worst nightmare, Voldemort is just messing with my mind. I need to remember this isn't real.
My breathing was fast as my heart raced at a million miles. Tears clouded my vision which forced me to close my eyes. The tears flowed as I sat there. All alone.
A few seconds later I willed myself to open my eyes but when I did, I saw that all the darkness melted away as the familiar courtyard of Hogwarts came into view. It looked normal but something was off. It was cold and dingy instead of the bright rays that had always illuminated the place. I walked over to the edge of the cube and looked down to see something or rather someone.
Mattheo.
I was so relieved! He could help me get out of this, out of this nightmare! I tried to knock on the wall of the box to get his attention but it was as if he couldn't hear anything at all. As I looked down a scene started to play right in front of my eyes.
"You have failed me, you insolent child. You betrayed your own flesh and blood and now you shall pay the price." Voldemorts' snake-like voice drew out. Mattheo was sitting in the middle of the stone floor, his hands tied behind his back as he sat on his knees.
"I don't regret anything," Mattheo said bravely.
"CRUCIO!"
Mattheo writhed on the floor in pain as his screams echoed throughout the area. My eyes started to well up with tears seeing this happen. I tried harder to break down the wall but it just wouldn't budge!
His screams filled my ears as my tears now flowed uncontrollably. His shirt was almost soaked all the way through with blood as he lay on the floor, the curse taking away every last ounce of energy he had in himself.
"Mattheo!" I Screamed out for him, hoping that somehow he would be able to hear me. I pounded on the wall and kept punching again and again and again until my knuckles were stained crimson. I didn't care how bad the wounds stung. I had to save Mattheo!
"I love you Y/N." I heard Mattheo say as I looked down again, stopping my craze for a second. Voldemort was standing above him as my eyes widened in the realisation of what was about to happen.
"No, no no no, NO!" I screamed as I doubled my efforts to break the stupid glass that's when everything went silent.
"Y/N"
what? who was calling me?
"Y/N listen to me, this isn't real, none of this is. You need to snap out of it and find the last Horcrux."
The last Horcrux? but hadn't I killed them all?
"You can do this, break out of his hold."
"Who is the last Horcrux," I asked to the mysterious voice. I needed to know if I had even the slightest chance to win.
"I- I don't think-"
"Just tell me!"
"Mattheo Riddle."
