He who must not be named, You know who, Tom Riddle. This individual was known by many names throughout his lifetime but the one that had set fear deep in everyone's heart, to the point where nobody said those syllables anymore, was Lord Voldemort. His menacing and ruthless nature had led to this point, this very point where Y/N Riddle, His daughter in law, the mother of his unborn grandchild and the wife to his son, was being held midair as they walked towards the ruins of Hogwarts.
Y/N had played her role to perfection, as had her entire team. They had killed all the Horcruxes then why was Voldemort still alive? The wizarding world should be rejoicing right now but instead, it stood there in shock, their last hope diminished.
"Ah what a beautiful day it is." He said, addressing the crowd of fighters that stood in the broken courtyard, pieces of marble, brick and cement resembling their own broken nature. Everyone had lost someone near and dear to them and while that pain might subside eventually a part of them will always be broken, always be lost.
"Y/N RIDDLE IS DEAD!" Voldemort announced for everyone to hear and upon these words befalling the ears of her beloved, Mattheo fell to his knees. To him, nobody existed anymore. It couldn't be true, right? It couldn't be true that he had just lost his entire family, his entire world. It had to be a ruse, a lie, anything but the truth.
"Y/N is dead. Bow down to your ruler, your Lord." He continued, with no regard whatsoever for his son. Helplessness filled the minds of everyone present. What were they to do now that their biggest fighter, their brightest star had been extinguished?
"It was foolish of you to think that you could defeat me. Yes, I do mourn for my lost Horcruxes but I'm amused you could be naive enough to think that was my only defence mechanism." Voldemort said, an air of triumph and fake pity surrounding his words.

Mattheo on the other hand was unable to process anything that was being said. He stayed on his knees. His expression was of eternal sadness, the only thought going through his mind being denial. He was unsure which pain was worse - the shock of what happened or the ache for what never will.
"Now, rise and join my ranks, if you wish to keep your life that is."
Silence. Nobody moved a single muscle. They were ready to die before having to join the dark side, almost all of them. One moved from his position wand clutched behind his back.
"Ah, my son. I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad to see you're finally accepting your real family."
"My real family? Do you really think you are my real family? YOU KILLED MY MOTHER! YOU KILL EVERY PERSON I HAVE EVER LOVED."
"It's to make you stronger. Love is for fools."
"No! It isn't! Love is beautiful, Love is this feeling I was never able to feel because of you! Love is knowing that you have someone to go back to at the end of the day. Love is what life is worth living for. Love is Y/N." he said, a lone tear rolling down his cheek.
"Then you didn't learn after all, did you."
"I did, I learnt that my real family is the one that accepted me even after everything that I had done. My real family is every single person standing against you right now. You are nothing to me. Merely someone who ruined my life for 18 years but there is one thing I have to thank you for. Thank you for getting me married to Y/N. Thank you for letting me experience love even when I know that wasn't your intention. Y/N taught me to love, she taught me to forgive but I will not forgive you. You are not worth it."

"THAT IS SUFFICIENT. YOU WILL LEARN, THE HARD WAY." Voldemort bellowed at Mattheo before gliding over to him. Mattheo immediately withdrew his wand to protect himself but within seconds it was knocked out of his hands due to a swift punch to his gut.
"You ungrateful offspring."
Mattheo got up before running at his father at full speed, his hand formed into a fist as he punched his snakelike face, knocking a tooth out of his mouth. The crowd gasped, as did Voldemort. Blood ran down his chin and onto his black cloak. Shock was insufficient to describe his expression.
Without another sound leaving his mouth he pointed his wand in Mattheo's direction and the spell that left it next was bright red.
"CRUCIO!"
Mattheo fell to the ground in agony, every single cell of his body on fire, screaming at the top of his lungs. Squirming on the ground in pain, tears fell from his eyes. Voldemort continued to mutter spells, spells which opened up deep wounds on his back, slash marks as if someone had carved them by hand. Matheo struggled on the ground, scrambling to get away from the pain.
Voldemort saw nothing but pure fury, the wrath of which Mattheo bore. He withdrew the cruciatus curse to leave Matteo panting on the ground. Dark red blood stained his clothes before dripping to the floor, his DNA forever engrained into the cracks in the cold concrete floor.
"Trust me, son, it gives me no pleasure to do this."
He turned his wand on his son once again, determined to make him suffer until he begged for mercy. As his lips began to
form the words a loud voice was heard from behind them,
"ENOUGH!"
It was Y/N, floating midair in all her glory. She looked enraged, nothing less than the scarlet witch. She was ready to take lives, ready to kill anyone who came in her path, Her eyes white with anger, her palms filled with raging power.
"Step away from my husband."

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

The Harrowbird's Crown
(Formerly: Tales of a Harrowed House) Synopsis: This is the tale of an exiled royal family who, after their bloody reunion on the island of Providence, return to a war-torn homeland where once more, powerful forces pit sibling against sibling in a bid for the crown — and once more, the magical streets of Auctor echo their infamous motto: “Fire will Reign as Harrowbirds Soar!” From his humble beginnings as a shoemaker’s son, his year spent as a daringly brazen orphan caught between rivaling Houses and a mad ghost, and his fight for the crown after his return to Auctor, Corbyn faces a coming-of-age story unlike any before him as he discovers magic and birthright are two things he never knew he had. From the intimate narrative of a childhood that was never her own, her year spent struggling to find the person she is rather than the person her family needs her to be, the secrets she hides, and the truths she finds, Halle discovers herself on the fabled island of Providence as her House collapses around her, bids to enter a legendary school of magic in her homeland of Auctor, and fights for a crown she never knew she wanted. A high-action, character-focused story written with a poet’s styling, The Harrowbird’s Crown is a tale that will transport readers into the conflict and conquest of a royal family back on the rise. General Information: This story is more traditionally plotted. While the beginning may seem to start out slowly, when shit hits the fan: the action is constant, the mysteries are satisfying, and the character development is rewarding. Chapters are usually between 2.5-3.5 thousand words (though some, like the first and second chapters, can run up to 5k words). When it’s long it means that the chapter will just have that much content in it. There’s Action, Mystery, Fantasy, Comedy, and some Psychological undertakings. Romance hasn’t come up yet, but it may in future chapters. I try to have chapters out every Sunday at 7:00 CST Book One: The Ghost of Providence
