3 am is usually considered the devil's hour. We see a couple sleeping soundly in eachothers arms, We see one fighting in the dark. We see a college student struggling to meet deadlines, we see one basking in the moonlight. We see some sleeping peacefully, we see two of ours preparing to leave in secrecy.
Y/n and Mattheo were wide awake, packing their bags as Professor Mcgonnagal, prepared for their departure. The Hogwarts express was deemed unsafe for them so a secret path was opened up. Professor mcgonagal was going to fly on a broom supervising from above as Mattheo and Y/N travelled in a muggle car. The journey was long and they needed to be there by daybreak.
The nervousness showed on her face. The world was about to go to war and she was concerned not about herself but more so about her child. Mattheo loaded the bags into the trunk of the car as Y/N thanked Sirius and bid him goodbye. She hugged her mother with tears in her eyes, the time they spent together being insufficient. Lucius had run almost as soon as they'd arrived and it came as no surprise, everyone knew he was a coward.
During her time with the blacks, she had somewhat learned to control her powers. The dark glow was now concentrated into the palm of her hands as she learned how to use it. She could twirl it around in her fingers and pick up objects without touching them. If Y/N didn't know any better she would think she's turning into Wanda, only difference being the colour. She loved reading the comics as a kid and would often steal them from the muggle world.
She still didn't understand the source of her powers and how she got them but she knew that she had them for a reason. To do good, to help others rather than to cause destruction. She had admittedly launched Mattheo across the room few times while learning but in all honesty, he deserved it.
Y/N descended the steps, no longer in the safety of the house but rather out in the open. She opened the car door and sat inside, looking upon the house as it closed in on itself until all there was left was a skip between number 12 and 14.

Professor Mcgonagal kicked off from the ground, launching her broom in the air and disappearing into the night as she flew above them, watching like a hawk. The journey began as Y/N linked her fingers with Mattheo's, her anxiety spreading.
She looked out the car window to see the deserted streets at this time, the dull glow of the lamps and the few apartments that still had light in them. This hour felt like the most peaceful yet the most eerie one, the emptiness of the areas that are usually packed with people, the darkness, the fact that anything could happen and no one would see it.
The car traveled further down the road as she lay her head in Mattheo's lap to rest. He caressed her face, admiring and taking in the beauty of her, Thinking if he could get any luckier. He bent down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead and just as he was about to pull back the car steered off its path, sending his head straight into the front seat.
Y/N got up hastily as Mattheo sat upright, they looked to see what had caused the sudden turn when the driver of the car turned around and pointed their wand at them. Y/N quickly understood what was happening and wasted no time in insuring that the person had been thrown out of the car though the windshield. Y/N and Mattheo looked at each other, their expression sharing the same thing. They were under attack.
"That can't have been the only one." Y/N said.
"You take the wheel, Ill notify mcgonagal."
"But I don't know how this thing works!" Mattheo shouted.
"Oh, you'll figure it out" Y/N waved him down.
He squeezed through the space and got into the drivers seat. Y/N kicked open the side of the door and looked outside. The scene she saw was terrifying. Mcgonagal was already fighting multiple death eaters at once and there were at least 5 more coming in Y/N's direction.
"Keep the car steady for me, will ya?" Y/N asked mattheo.
"What the hell are you doing!" He screamed as Y/N climbed into the roof of the car.
Y/N stood on the top of the car, the deatheaters were nearing her now and she had no time to waste. She threw a surge of energy at one of them and they faltered off their broom and fell onto the road. Mattheo drove over the person, resulting in a shake in the car.

Y/N fell into her knees before shouting,
"I TOLD YOU TO KEEP IT STEADY"
"AND I TOLD YOU I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS THING WORKS"
Y/N huffed in annoyance as the other death eater took notice of his fallen partner and flew higher, throwing killing spells at her left and right.
She tried harder to reach him but he was too high up, she thought hard for a moment, forming a protective shield around her as she looked around. A lamp. That ought to work.
She used her power to uproot a lamp off the sidewalk. Straining under its weight, Y/N quickly threw the lamp into the air, breaking the broom and making another fall to his death.
2 down, 3 more to go. She thought to herself. Almost all of the deatheaters had now risen to an even higher altitude.
She was going to do something she had little practice with. Y/N formed the energy in her palms before pointing them towards the ground, effectively launching herself into the air. She faltered for a second but was able to recover.
Mrs. Mcgonagal took notice of Y/N and skilfully stunned every last one surrounding herself. She flew down to help Y/N.
Y/N tried to get ahold of her flying but it was quite difficult. She increased the power in one hand as she shot down a deatheater with the other.
She maneuvered herself and fought down the black cloaks while they were left confused of what was happening. They had been told that it was a simple job to kill a child. They had never been told about powers.
Y/N strangled another from afar as she wrapped the glow around them. This chaos had incited Valena to take part as well. She was covered from head to toe in black and was unrecognisable, blending into the night sky.
While Y/N fought off another, Valena flew up behind her back and understood that she needed to make sure her hands were injured. She pointed a spell towards Y/N's arm and as it hit her, her flight faltered.
Y/N's arm bled black as she fell from a 100 feet in the sky. She tried hard to regain her balance but the fall kept getting faster, the ground nearer. Her breath ceased up in her chest, she thought about nothing more than the baby. She curled herself into a ball, awaiting impact.
Instead of feeling the hard concrete on her back she felt a piece of wood. Professor Mcgonagal held onto Y/N as she climbed onto her broom.
"Are you okay?!" Minerva asked. Y/N showed her the cut on her arm, the colour slowly returning back to its normal red.
Saying that Minerva was angry, is an understatement. She saw red was more apt. She safely put Y/N into the backseat of the car before flying up again, killing every last one of them as they approached her.
None were able to get past her spells as she turned them over and they fell into the street, their bones crushing from the impact.
She pointed her wand sharply before reciting an incantation. A small spark rose from the tip of the wand before erupting into the blaze of a fire dragon. The dragon soared through the air, burning the very last inch of skin on the enemies.
It roared and its fiery orange glow was seen in the eyeballs of the deatheater, a terrified expression on his face, before those eyes were left open, never seeing again.
Once the sky was clear the dragon retracted back into the wand as Minerva tucked it safely into her cloak.
Valena had flown up and away as she saw the others die.
"Pathetic" She whispered under her breath before flying away, unseen by the professor.
