The footsteps got heavier as they neared the entrance of the living room. I lay there with my eyes closed, A feeble attempt at looking unconicious. I braced myself for impact as I heard the handle being twistsed in its door and swung open. I could only hope that I wasnt going to die today. Perhaps it was foolish of me to think so but I still had hope. Hope was the only thing keeping me going right now. Hope to see my famliy again. Hope to live a normal and amazing life with my husband. Hope to see my friends again some day.
"Y/N! DRACO!" A voice screamed and I heard rapid footsteps as she ran towards me.
"Mom?" I asked, my voice trembling. I looked up to see the face of my beautiful mother looking down at me. Relief washed over me as I looked into her caring eyes. They were full of tears that were threatening to spill over. She leaned down and placed a kiss on my forehead before helping me off the ground.
I stood up to see dad on the other side, helping Draco up, fixing his wounds with the wand. Mom looked at me with immense love before placing her hand upon my stomach. I think my hormones got the best of me as i began crying right there and then. "You're going to be a grandmother!" I spoke to her as she hugged me with all her might.
"I love you Y/N."
"I love you too mom"
"We will have time for all this later, first we must get out of here" Lucius said as Draco continued to limp on his shoulder for support. We nodded and moved in his direction to link our hands. Before our fingers could touch however, the sound of a screw being opened rang from above us. We looked up in confusion but before we could make out the small hidden figure behind the clasp, the chandelier fell.

It felt as if i was watching everything in slow motion. From the moment the last thread of the screw fell of its last round. I was standing right underneath it as it came down in my direction. I felt as if these were sure to be my last moments. My mom had fallen over and was away from harm. My dad had his arm in front of his face, to protect him from the glass shards that were sure to fly everywhere. I looked upwards again, accepting this to be my last, that's before i felt a hand on my shoulder, pushing me with all its weight. I fell down and away from the direct trajectory of the light, Draco now underneath it instead.
"NO!" I shouted as the light made contact with his body and within seconds we would feel the glass on our skin. They both made contact with the floor and the horrible sound of glass and bone shattering filled the room. A dust went up around us. I struggled to keep my eyes open as I coughed hard. I wheezed as the dust fell and my lungs refused to cooperate.
The dust eventually settled and with that the small and fragile body of Draco emerged under it.
He lay there, his eyes staring up at me, blood covering his face. I ran over to him and crouched beside his body. "Y/N" He said weakly as I held his hand.
"I'm going to pull you out of this okay? Just bear with me." I said as I pulled on his arm trying to get him out. He nodded his head at me slightly.
"No! I'm not leaving you!"
"Let me go Y/n."
"Why Draco! Why did you do this!" I said, tears running down my face. He smiled as best he could before saying,

"I didn't do it for only you, I did it for my niece too."
My heart broke even further knowing that he had been receiving my owls but was probably too confined to reply. I felt pain gripping my body as I looked at my brother. This couldn't be real, i- it was all supposed to be a nightmare! My tears fell onto his face as he continued to look at me.
"You take good c-care of her" He said, before his eyes darkened in front of me, seeing for the last time before resting forever. His chest didn't rise again and no voice came out of his mouth. His grip on my hand loosened. He lay there, void of any signs of life.
"NO, NO, YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME, DRACO NO! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FOR ME! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HER GODFATHER DRACO PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" I screamed at him, thumping his chest with my fists.
"You can't leave me like this! Please don't do this. DRACO!"
"We need to go now Y/N, or they will find us." I heard dad say from behind, suppressing his sniffles. "NO, he's going to wake up, you see he will wake up for me." I turned towards my dad in as a rage filled my body. "This is all because of you! WHY IS EVERYTHING YOU DO ALWAYS TO HURT ME! I KNEW YOU LOVED ME OR MOM. I HATE YOU SO MUCH. THE ONE PERSON THAT CARED ABOUT ME IS GONE. BECAUSE. OF. YOU." I hit him everywhere I could, my arms out in front of me. I didnt care how hard I hit or how soft, all I knew was that I wanted to hurt him. I wanted to hurt him the same way I was hurting right now. Mom pulled me away as I screamed at her to let me go. I didn't want to live in a world that didn't have my brother in it. "LET ME GO! PLEASE JUST LET ME GO!.......please Draco, d-don't do this to me. Please."
I hit my mothers arms a few times before giving up and just pleading the world for this to not be true. My father linked his arm with ours as I looked at Draco for the last time. I felt a tightness around us, a black force that left just as quickly as it came.
We were now standing in front of number 12 Grimmauld Place. I pushed the buzzer on the door before it was opened by sirius. I collapsed into him as he held me.
"Y/N?! What's wrong?" He asked as I sobbed into his shoulder, The rest was a blur.
▼・ᴥ・▼
I opened my eyes to be met with the face of Sirius, Remus, and Mom staring down at me with concern. I quickly sat up as Sirius handed me a glass of water. We all sat on the floor for a moment, I was completely drained emotionally. My whole body ached as did my mind. I missed him so much that everywhere I looked, I could see him beside me.

A God's Champion
James was an Operator who had the misfortune to die in battle. Instead of his soul moving on to his just reward, it is intercepted, and James finds himself on a new mission. Asked to be the Champion for Ignatius, God of Embers, he finds himself in a different world, fighting impossible creatures and trying to survive. Their lives now depend on his completing the Challenge and ranking in the top 500. But the odds are stacked against him, and he was a better operator than a swordsman. Chapters released Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 Warning: After Chapter 11, the MC undergoes a significant change of class and race. This is due to a couple of factors. The first is that when the MC was created, James didn't know what he was doing, so he picked what he thought would work. The second reason is that he had access to more information to game the system a little. The premise is like when you buy a new video game and decide to play it without RTFM. After creating a great character and making it to the end of the first act, you realize that, although your character may be kewl, it is gimped and will not survive until the end of the game. Going back to the start, you create a new character with the knowledge you gained from playing the game and perhaps, peeking at the manual.
