Y/n's Pov
I was awoken with Mattheo's arms around my waist, holding me very close to him. I looked down at my arm. The blood he had taken from it had left a long cut, similar to the length of the dark mark. The hideous green skull that was in the sky that day had imprinted on my arm forever marking me with the dark ink.
I heavily sighed and detangled myself from his arms. I made my way to the washroom and started remembering all the events of the past 2 days. I couldn't trust Mattheo. Not yet at least. The wounds were too fresh. Quite literally too.
I looked at my sullen face in the mirror. It looked a bit swollen but mostly tired. My skin looked drained. I splashed water to wake myself up. The thought of Leanne crossed my mind and I felt tears prick at the base of my eyes again.
I felt a bout of nausea and rushed to the toilet, throwing it open before vomiting inside it. I felt like shit. Mattheo heard me and ran into the washroom, a very worried look on his face. He knelt down beside me and held my hair behind my back while the sounds of retching filled the room.
He rubbed my back for what felt like hours, but was probably a few minutes. "Lets go get something to eat love." Mattheo softly whispered to me and I nodded. He helped me stand up and guided me down the winding staircase and into the common room.
Someone was laying face down on the couch, a head of blonde hair peeking through. "Draco?" I asked lightly. He looked up to see who had called his name as his eyes landed on me. He immediately started tearing up as he ran up to me and held me in his arms.

"I was so w-worried" He said in between sobs. I sighed into the hug as I held him closer to me. The thought of him being left alone in this cruel world made my heart hurt with an intensity I didn't know was possible .
"I'm so sorry. For everything." He whispered to me as we finally pulled away. I gave him a curt nod before Mattheo led me out of the room. We walked up to the great hall, its doors open wide in welcome. I looked around for a few moments. Everything looked so different.
I looked over at the long table to see all the professors sitting in silence. I walked up to the front of the Slytherin table and it wasn't long before my presence was noticed. Professor McGonagall rushed towards me and engulfed me into a warm hug. I melted into her embrace as I felt tears well up again.
"Oh Y/N I'm so glad you're ok. If you ever need to talk to anyone my door is always open." She whispered before returning back to her table. I always liked her, she was an amazing teacher that actually cared about her students and didn't raise them like a pig for slaughter. (iykyk)
As we sat down on the table, I was extremely repulsed by the smell of the salad. Perhaps the produce had gone bad. I couldn't sit near it anymore so I scooted a few seats farther and put some toast on my plate.
We ate in silence, Not one person said a word. I was getting glances from people here and there but I was too tired and sad to care about them. I ate half the toast before I left the hall, assuring Mattheo that I was perfectly capable of walking alone.

I walked down the halls and into the commons until I reached the door with the name embossed over in sliver letters.
Ms. Leanne Brown.
I ran my fingers along the outline of the name before pushing open the door knob, revealing the messy room beyond. The bed looked unmade and her makeup was scattered on her desk. There were several dresses lying on the bed with her robes neatly folded on the chair.
A golden picture frame lay on her desk. I moved towards it and picked it up. The picture held her surrounded with Astoria by her side, Ananya crouching down beside her and me on her back. We were in Hogsmeade and there were little flakes of snow in our hair. I remember that day crystal clear. Ananya had finally asked Leanne to be her girlfriend and she had happily agreed. In my excitement I slipped on the ice that had formed on the road and sprained my ankle. Leanne had insisted on carrying me on her back and I had gleefully complied. It was magical and amazing. We had laughed the whole way back. My eyes travelled downwards to see a little 'Love you guys' Scribbled in the corner of the frame in Leanne's handwriting.
The faintest smile appeared on my face as I held the fame close to my heart. I let out a huge breath before laying myself on the bed and closing my eyes as the tears overflowed. She was gone and there was nothing I could do about it. I would never again be able to see her beautiful smile that beamed like the sun or be able to hug her. She was gone.

I awoke a few hours later. still in the same room. It was evening now. Everything looked exactly the way it had. I ran a hand through my hair and wiped my tear stained cheeks as I picked up the frame and made my way back to my dorm. I felt extremely tired and my feet were swollen. That's odd. Something nagged at the back of my head and I tried to ignore it as I bolted to my room.
I threw open my notebook and flipped to my period tracker. Fuck. I was late. A whole week late. FUCK. No fucking way. I ran to the bathroom, fear very evident in my movements. I took my wand with me as I performed a simple spell to know if I was actually pregnant. Don't ask me why I know this.
I had to wait. For 2 minutes. After they were up the small fog that had formed in the washroom would either turn red to indicate pregnancy or colourless to indicate no pregnancy.
I sat there for what felt like hours. My mind racing into a million different places. There is no way I could be pregnant, right? I mean I was only 19!
I looked up to see that the fog had finally changed its colour to...

The Mentor
This one is for my daughter. She talked me into it (again) and it is her favorite genre of books. So, Bet, this one is for you. The true-bloods, the masters, they came first. That was hammered into Heath's head since he could walk with both words and fists by Karen. As a guardian and half-blood bastard of his vampire father, he would never know peace. His duty as a dhampir, his duty was clear, his fate sealed. Heath was to serve Gerald, an aging Vampire Lord, one who was of pure blood, born to the race, until Heath outlived his prime and then he would pass on the knowledge that was passed to him onto a new bastard to carry protecting the bloodline. But was it necessarily his fate? Could a sterile half breed such as himself, someone who did not exist in the human world, live anywhere in the world on the light? After a particularly nasty encounter with his Mentor, Heath is on the run. Set on not becoming the new guardian and knowing that decision has now marked him for death. The hunt is on and somewhere behind him is Joshua, the heir of his Master, and the thing that plagues his nightmare, his Mentor Karen.
