"I WILL NOT BE GETTING MARRIED TO THIS PRICK." I bellowed finally losing my patience.
My parents looked at me with wide eyes and my father softly said, "Y/n you have to do this, for the sake of our blood purity"
"I am done with you and your pureblood mania! And its not like he is one either." I spoke out for everyone to hear.
"He is a halfbood" I said pointing towards Mattheo, "And so is he" I said looking towards Voldemort.
Mattheo immediately drew his wand and so did I. The both of us never broke eye contact as both the wands grew nearer to our necks.
"You will regret that." Mattheo said.
"Try me. I beg you." I replied, my voice laced with poison.
"ENOUGH! LOWER YOUR WANDS BOTH OF YOU." Voldemort screamed again.
We looked at each other before reluctantly putting our wands down.
I turned around and left. My mind was wandering about endless things but my legs were focused on where i was going.
I slammed the door open and said, "YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS, DIDNT YOU?"
Draco leapt back into his bed and tried to scramble away. Before he could I was already by the bedside with my wand on his neck.
"W-what are y-ou talking about-t?" He asked while eyeing my wand.
"DON'T PLAY DUMB DRACO, you know exactly what I'm talking about."
"i-I D-d" He started but I cut him off,
"About my wedding with MATTHEO"
I said and dug my wand further.
This time he remained silent and looked at me with guilty eyes.
"You knew. I cant even trust my own brother anymore." I said with a sigh and stormed out of his room.
I took a deep breath and calmed down. I would do whatever it takes to stop this marriage.

I slowly went downstairs and stood behind my chair. Everyone else was still sitting there, apparently discussing something before stopping upon my arrival.
"Now that we have all calmed down, Lucius go bring the rings." Voldemort spoke.
I stood my ground and said, "I've said this once and ill say it again, I am not getting married to him. You can force me all you want but in the end it has to be me that says I do, not you not anybody." I said calmly.
Mattheo slightly looked up from the table at my response. His fingers were balled into fists and he looked angry?
"Y/n, we did not want to do this, but you have left us no choice." Voldy spoke again.
"Come Draco.." He said and Draco walked inside the room with a terrified look on his face.
"What are you doing here? Go back to your room." I said while turning towards him with a puzzled look on my face.
"Y/n we now hold a choice for you. Either you get married to Mattheo or Draco has to join the death eaters."
"WHAT? HE IS A EIGHTEEN! YOU CANT DO THIS." I scream yet again.
"Mom? Are you just gonna sit there like a statue and not say anything?" I said.
When she didn't reply I looked over to my dad. He kept ignoring me too. I felt tears pool into my eyes and a lump grow in my throat.
There was a long pause before I softly said, "Fine." They all looked up at me and I turned to Draco.
"Go back to your room. NOW." I said in a stern voice. He quickly obeyed and left.
I blinked away the tears and turned to them. "Very well then, Lucius go bring the rings"

I sat down with a solemn look on my face. My mom tried to squeeze my hand in sympathy but I quickly pulled it away.
My dad returned with the rings and said, "These are your engagement rings. They are enchanted to make sure the wedding takes place no matter what."
I just nodded and stood up. Me and Mattheo moved to the front of the table and my mom stood in front of us.
She handed us both a ring:
(A/N: for Mattheo, and these aren't the actual wedding rings they are kind of like enchanted promise rings)
(for Y/N)
I was handed a black snake ring and Mattheo was given a gold one.
He reached out for my right hand and I hesitated before letting him hold it. He gripped my fingers tightly and sild the ring on.
I took his hand and pressed it like he had pressed mine, but he didn't even flinch. I just put the ring on his finger and moved on.
My mother held up her wand and cast a spell which made a golden flowy substance come out of her wand and form an infinity symbol over our hands.
"Also this ring can only be taken off by the one who made you wear it."
"What?" I said and touched my ring, but I immediately pulled my hand back because it burned!
"It burned me!" I said and she shrugged her shoulders. I let out a groan of frustration and asked, "Can I go to my room now?"
"Yes dear and take Mattheo with you."
"Fine" I said and beaconed for him to follow.
We reached my room and I plopped myself onto the bed. "Make yourself comfortable I guess." I said and he started looking around the room.
"You can sleep on the couch." I said and turned around on my bed.
I felt a hand gripping my shoulder and I was turned around on the bed with Mattheo over me.
His knees were on either sides of my thighs and he was restraining both of my wrists with his hands.
"Let me go!" I said struggling to break free from his vice like grip.
"You will not talk to me like that." He growled in my ear.
"Fuck you." I said
He immediately grabbed my neck and my now free wrist flew to his arm. "Mattheo" I breathed out. "I c-cant b-breathe!"
"Good" He said and tightened his grip even further.

Chimera
Fate isn't always so kind, yet to some, this lack of fortune may be just what leads them to greatness. Chimera tells the tale of one such ill-fated being, of how she fought and grew as an individual, walking down the path she chose, and of how she will one day ascend past this mystical world of magic and monsters to achieve the greatness that was promised to her. - - - Author's Note: Hello there! I hope you'll give my first ever series "Chimera" a read! I DON'T want to make this series into a full-blown LitRPG or wuxia, but a fantasy series that dabbles into both genres. I hope I don't betray your expectations! Please enjoy reading, and thank you!

The Other - a (man) called Ted
A figure, large and present through time in ways most would not understand. Seemingly uncaring about all except his own principles, the one we refer to as the Other (for legitimate reasons, lest some accidentally call upon his old name), finds his way through life. Though refusing to claim the title himself, this (immortal)'s projects have begun to leave him behind, awaiting some accident to move him back into the world. - - - - - - Initially intended to be a novella, then a project to keep me sane in busy times IRL, this will be considered the roughest of drafts. Also, IRL may prevent me from regular updates after the backlog is done. Tags with a grain of salt, items may be mentioned briefly in story so far, or in chapters already written but not published. Content warnings just in case. Some perspective switching in the first several chapters. Legitimately though, in the first chapters an explanation is provided for referencing to the MC as 'the Other.'
