Jared couldn't help but laugh as he watched Kelsey stare down on her cell phone, waiting on the call that will change her life. Kelsey gave him a dirty look before going back to dicing carrots. Jared quickly cleared his throat and said," I thought we were having burgers. Why are you chopping carrots and broccoli?" Kelsey smirked slightly as she picked up the broccoli stock. She pointed it at him and said," If you dice carrots and broccoli really small and put them in the ground beef with some spices, the kids won't even know they're eating veggies." Jared was impressed and wouldn't even be able to think of something like that. Kelsey began chopping broccoli as Noah walked into the kitchen and sat at the breakfast bar. Noah pulled out his phone as he said," Hey Aunty, I was thinking-" Kelsey cut him off as she pointed the knife in his direction. Kelsey the knife down and said," If this about that party you wanna go to, then no. If it's actually something relevant then, what is it?" Noah pursed his lips lightly and looked down at his phone. He sighed before looking back up at his aunt. He folded his hands in front of him, begging, as he said," Please, Aunty, just please. Nolan's mom and dad are going to be there and no alcohol. It's literally just going to be food, loud music, and dancing. That's it." Kelsey let out a heavy sigh before picking back up the knife as she continued chopping broccoli. Kelsey clicked her tongue before looking to Jared. Jared stood behind Noah with a small smile on his face. Jared shrugged and mouthed, " Why not." Kelsey put the knife back down and looked into Noah's eyes. Kelsey held out her pinky finger as she said," Promise me if something does happen, you call me. I don't care if you're drunk, high, or even tired I'll come get you. I'm not going to lose you too. Now pinky promise me or you ain't goin'." Noah smiled as he wrapped his pinky finger around his Aunt's. Noah stood up and walked around the counter gave his Aunt a kiss on the cheek before practically running out of the room. Kelsey blinked away tears as she continued cooking dinner. Jared smiled and said," Serious 'mom' points." She smiled as threw the carrots and broccoli into the ground beef. Kelsey began adding spices as her phone began ringing. Her eyes grew as she looked over at the the screen. She carefully picked up the phone and answered. Jared came around the counter and gave her a quick pat on the shoulder as he began patting out the hamburger. He was nervous for her, a woman who was plunged into motherhood more ways than one. She quickly said her goodbyes and gently placed her phone on the counter. Jared watched as she placed her hands on her belly and said," I'm pregnant. I'm having a baby." Jared smiled and went to the sink to wash his hands. He dried off his hands and gave her a big hug.

Shortly after dinner Jared had the kids playing in the pool as they watched from the patio. Noah came from the house wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a white wife beater, and a over sized unbuttoned flannel. She couldn't help but smile as he walked over and sat down beside her. He was growing up and there was no changing it. He smiled and said," You wanted to talk to me before Nolan came and picked me up? Is everything okay?" Jared stood and walked closer to the pool to give the two some privacy. Kelsey took one of his hands into hers as she said," Do you remember all the treatments I went through when your mom wanted to have a baby?" Noah quickly nodded as Kelsey continued," Two weeks before she passed away, I had another treatment done. I found out earlier today I'm eight weeks pregnant." Noah eyes bugged out of his head before pulled away from aunt. Noah looked over to Jared and looked back to her. He scoffed and said," You slept with him didn't you? Mom wanted to quit those treatments because they were too hard on and made you sick. Just cause you slept with a guy, doesn't mean you get make mom your excuse." Kelsey couldn't believe the words coming from his and Jared couldn't either. Jared quickly walked but before he could but in Noah looked into his eyes and said,"Don't even think about defending her. That's what my mom did her entire life and look how she ended up. You got three kids, man, I wouldn't if I were you." Kelsey couldn't take anymore as she jogged back to the house. Kelsey quickly ran inside past Jensen, his wife Daneel, and their daughter JJ as she took the stairs two at a time. Jensen and Daneel gave each other odd looks as they continued out to find Jared looking down at Noah. Jared just shook his head and said," Your aunt has done nothing but do what's best for you. Believe it or not you and the baby are all she has left. Did you know she just sold her car so she can pay for your schooling for the next six months? Did you know that one of the many reasons why she's a live-in nanny is that she spent her life saving and her rent money to pay for her sister's funeral and to get her the headstone she deserved? You got it good, kid." Noah rolled his eyes as he heard a loud horn honking out front. He walked away from Jared quickly heading out to his friend's car, ready to party and forget his troubles.

Jared, Jensen, and Daneel watched the kids play in the pool splashing and screaming as the water would land. Jared couldn't help but frown when he saw Kelsey had never came back out. It been two hours since Noah left and Kelsey was still locked up in the house. Jared went to stand but Daneel beat him to it. Daneel smirked and said," I think might need more of a womanly touch." Jared nodded, agreeing with her before he saw her quickly walk to the back door. Daneel climbed the stairs and walked down the hall. She smiled as she saw drawings on her door from Tom and Shep taped on the door. She knocked before slowly entering. Daneel found Kelsey sitting in a chair by the window. Kelsey looked up and gave her a small smile. Daneel sat on the corner of the bed and said," You okay?" Kelsey just shook her head no before handing her the photograph she had hiding in her hand. Daneel smiled at young Kelsey and another woman who looked just like her holding a small toddler in her arms. Kelsey sniffed slightly and said," My sister was amazing. She raised me and then became a single mother raising Noah. She was beyond amazing. You know it's my fault she's dead?" Daneel looked up and her brows furrowed in confusion as Kelsey fidgeted with her fingers. Kelsey blinked away tears as she said,"My car broke down and was in the shop. I had a job interview and she didn't want me to ride the bus in my neighborhood so she let me drive her car. She was walking home from the flower shop in her neighborhood when someone didn't see her in the crosswalk and hit her. If she drove home, she wouldn't be dead." Daneel gave her a sad smile as she stood and walked over. She kneeled in front of her and said,"It's not your fault. The only person who is at fault is the one who was driving the car. You're an amazing nanny, an amazing aunt and you will be an amazing mother. Let your nephew cool down and he'll be happy for you. Just like your sister would be happy for you. Come on, let's go back outside." Kelsey brought her into a big hug, making Daneel giggle.

Kelsey and Daneel walked side by side back to the pool. Kelsey smiled as she saw Odette fast asleep on Jared's chest and the boys and JJ screaming and splashing in the pool. Jared smiled at her as she took a seat in the lawn chair beside him. Jared smiled and whispered," Hey, you okay?" Kelsey shrugged as she unconsciously crossed her legs and wrapped her hands on her belly. She gave him a small smile and said," I will be. Once I see Noah and make sure he's okay then I'll be okay." Jared smiled and nodded as he rubbed a gentle hand down Odette's back. Kelsey bit her lip and said," I have my first doctor's appointment tomorrow, would you care to come with me? I know that might be awkward." Jared smiled and gave her firm nod. He looked over to find Daneel and Jensen with their feet in the pool talking with the kids. Jared looked back over to Kelsey and said," I'd love to, I'll have Jensen and Daneel watch the kids."

Kelsey looked up at the clock once again as she sat in the living room waiting on Noah to come home. She sighed as the clock hit midnight. She began to pace once again as a loud knock came from the front door. Kelsey quickly jolted to the door and opened it to find Noah standing behind a Police Officer. Kelsey looked up at the Police Officer and quickly recognized her ex-husband, Dominic. She gave him a tight lipped smile and said,"What'd he do, Dom?" Dominic looked up as he heard footsteps. Jared came down the stairs running his hands through his ruffled hair. Dominic frowned as Jared came and stood behind her. Dominic pursed his lips and said," Nothing really. We responded to a noise complaint and I saw my nephew in the playing spin the bottle. All the parents were called and I decided just to drop him off myself." Noah scoffed as he walked past Dominic. He began walking inside as he said," Ex nephew. If you hadn't decided to have an affair and kick your wife out then I'd be your nephew." Kelsey let out a low groan and pinched the bridge of her nose. Dominic's eyes grew as he knew what that meant. Kelsey had hit the the bottom. He always knew she would hold everything in till she blew up and he knew what he was about to witness. Kelsey pointed to Noah and eaved him to her. Kelsey pointed towards Dominic and said," Don't you dare insult that man, you understand me! That man was your father figure when your father wasn't present. What he did I put in the past and he was my husband. So let it go and deal with it. You're lucky he didn't arrest you and your friends, you should be thanking him. I know your mother just past away and I just lost my sister. But you have no right to talk to Jared, Dominic, or me the way you have this past couple weeks. You're not the only one hurting, so get over yourself and go to your room. Now!" Noah looked at her with wide eyes before he practically ran up the stairs to his room. Jared's eyes were wide as he took a step back. Dominic couldn't help but smirk as he watched the fire slowly leave her eyes. He always loved the feisty side of her. Kelsey blinked away tears as she looked to Jared and said," I'm gonna step out and talk with Dominic a minute." Jared gave her a large fake smile as she stepped out and closed the door behind her. Dominic sauntered down the front steps and Kelsey slowly followed. Kelsey began blinking away tears and he immediately noticed. He brought her in for a tight hug as she wrapped her arms around his waist. Sobs wracked her body as he gently rubbed a hand up and down her back. He kissed her temple and said," You're okay, Angel. Let it out." Kelsey squeezed him tighter and took in a deep breath, taking in his cologne. She wouldn't admit it but truly missed him and he missed her.
