Just as I was about to reply, a big bolt of lightning struck and the mindflayer crawled out towards Will.

"INITIATE PLAN!" Dustin yelled and we all whizzed into action.

We all began hurling fireworks at the monster. It was a lot bigger than I expected. It grew agitated, the fireworks were doing little damage.

Will began running to safety whilst it was distracted. I held out my hand and tried to make sure he got to me ok. He was just centimetres away when he got grabbed by the Mindflayer and pinned to the floor. He struggled and I panicked. The others were all occupied fighting whilst I was here letting Will get killed. I just couldn't do it.

I ran out into the field and waved my arms about like an idiot whilst shouting. "HEY ASSHOLE! OVER HERE!"

Everyone's eyes shot over to me. I could see Mike was worried. He tried to run up to me but everyone held him back.

"LET ME GET TO HER! YOU ARE KILLING HER!" He screamed at Nancy who was holding him.

"You can't. You can't save her now." Nancy held him as he continued to struggle.

I almost forgot what I was doing. The panic struck as I watched it crawl over to me, giving Will just enough time to run back to the others.

"Guys relax she's got a gun remember!" Max reassured everybody. I'm such an idiot. Why didn't I keep the gun. I'm so stupid...

It loomed over me and a somewhat slobber dripped onto my face. I was just about to say my final words when the beast fell down beside me revealing Eleven. Her hand was reaching out and blood dripping from her nose. I ran up to her and hugged her tight, but she pushed me away.

"I must kill it." She whispered and I watched as she continuously smashed it to the ground. Just as the Mindflayer was about to die, Eleven collapsed into my arms.

It was about to run back to the group, I need to be the distraction again. It worked last time so it will work again. Let's just hope the plan is still in place. I ran back towards it and started kicking its legs, hoping to do some damage.

Everything went.. black. I woke up and I was in the field still, but everything was.. empty. Mike was no longer struggling in the bushes, Eleven was no longer propped against a bench, and everything was slimy. Covered in wires and black goo. It was real but then again it wasn't.

"MIKE?!" I yelled. "MAX? ANYBODY??"

I began to search the bushes. Where the hell am I?

"IS ANYBODY HERE? PLEASE HELP ME MY FRIENDS ARE IN DANGER?" I then fell to the ground. I felt like all my energy was lost. The people I loved most were out there dying and I managed to get lost trying to help them. Mike is right. I'm useless.

Just as I was trying to compose myself, I heard a voice echoing all around me, almost like from a dream. I immediately recognised it.

"Y/n?" It pleaded in between sobs. "Tell me you're okay. Please. I need you." It was Mike.

"Mike. She's gone." I heard another fuzzy voice mutter in the distance.

"I'M HERE! IM HERE HELP ME!" I yelled from the top of my lungs.

"She's muttering something!" Mike continued to cry.

"MIKE! PLEASE SAVE ME!" I shouted with all that was left.. but then the voice faded.

Is this what death is like? Is this like hell or something? Just when things couldn't get any worse. One of those demogorgans began to approach me. I ran as fast as I could into the forest behind the field. Even though this isn't the real world and I know it, things are still in the same place so at least I know where to go.

I ran until I found a little den built of sticks in the forest. A sign made of paper which read 'CASTLE BYERS' was stuck to the top. I ran inside for safety. When I looked inside there was a little photo of Will, Dustin, Lucas and.. Mike. That was all I needed to give me hope. So I waited. What else can I do except wait? Wait for someone to save me.
