Ah shit. What do I do? Totally causal evening. I fight with my boyfriend and as I'm walking home a monster jumps out and is trying to kill my cousin. I look around and see a sharp stick in the brambles. I reach towards it and poke the beast right in the mouth. Or eyes? I'm not really sure.

It roars and allows Max time to back away.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY!" I yell and repeatedly shove the stick into it. The demogorgan falls to the ground and lets out a sickening groan.

"You ok?" I ask Max.

"Yeah yeah.. nothing I haven't dealt with before. You on the other hand."

"Well it's kinda cool that I fought a monster."

"Mike could never." We both laugh in unison. Max wiped the sweat from her brow and we headed home.

My aunt was sat on the kitchen table glancing at the clock.

"Girls your home! Max this is way past your curfew and y/n.. your supposed to be grounded!"

"I'm sorry it's just.."

Before I could come up with an excuse she ran towards us and pulled us in for a big group hug.

"You don't have to be grounded anymore sweetie as long as you tell me when your going out. I don't think I can deal with the stress of having to wait for you both every night."

I nod gratefully and head to my room.

Max follows me and waits in the doorway.

"By the way just wanted to let you know its totally badass the way you fight."

"Thanks. I guess I'll be better with practise."

I drift of thinking about things.. but mostly Mike. He's always on my mind.

Y/n stomps out of the door.

"Nice one Frog face." Max rolls her eyes and leaves shortly after.

"I just want to protect her! Can nobody understand that!" Mike yells.

"Yeah dude but a girl doesn't like to be treated like a kid. Especially y/n. She's probably stronger than any of us." I but in.

Will nods in agreement.

"Well.. you guys have to at least get where I'm coming from."

"I guess but you definitely need to apologise and tell her she can help her." I reason.

"Yeah otherwise she will fight it by herself. And she doesn't have any experience. She may be strong but the demogorgan is stronger." Will informs.

"Fine. She can help us but she can't do anything stupid."

"Tell her that not us."

"Fine. I'm going to find her."

I leave the house and watch Mike cycle towards y/n's house.

"Do you think they'll last?" I ask Will.

"Who?"

"Y/n and Mike."

"I'm not sure. Me and y/n didn't last so i don't know."

"There there buddy." I pat him on the shoulder in sympathy.

I pedal as fast as possible. I can't wait to wrap myself in her arms again. I shouldn't of been so demanding but I can't help it. If I lost her I'd loose myself.. I've tried finding someone else but I just can't. Nobody's like her.

As I'm pedalling I screech to a halt.. I see a demogorgan propped on the side of the road. Dead. There are scratch marks on the body.. somebody put up a fight. Wait.. what if this is y/n.. what if I made her go home and she got killed! Maybe Max tried to save her but it was too late!

I killed y/n..

I pedal even faster and within no time arrive at the Mayfield's house. I hammer on the door. I don't care if I wake someone up.. I don't care if I wake the whole world up. I just need to make sure she's ok.

Billy answers.

"What the hell do you want you creep?!"

"Is y/n home?!"

"Why the fuck would I know? The little bitch is sneaking out all the time. Probably making out with 100 dudes right now."

"She's not a bitch. Your a bitch!" I yell and push past him.

"Get back here dickhead! I'm gonna kill you!" I bolt up the stairs and swing open the door to y/n's room.

I find her fast asleep cuddling her pillow. Long story short.. I'm an idiot.
