Mike groans and I try my best to not disturb him. I bet everybody has found out I left my room my now.. as long as I'm back by morning hopefully nobody will have noticed.

Just as I'm about to leave, Mike sits up from the couch.

"Y/n... where are you going?" He rubs his eyes and smiles at me.

"I have to get home Mike. I'm sorry.."

"I'll walk you home."

"No it's fine. You get back to sleep.

"Are you sure?" He asks heading with me up the stairs.

"Yeah. I'll call you in the morning."

"Okay night." He gives me a quick kiss on the cheek before heading up to his room.

I skate home and climb to my room. Surprisingly, I see Max worried sat on my bed.

"Where the hell were you?!" She whisper yells.

"Calm down. Why are you awake?"

"I came to.. it doesn't matter what I came to do. I came here and you were missing! I was so close to calling the police y/n! So close!"

"It's ok. I was just with the party.. Mike invited me to his d&d campaign."

"What..." she looked really hurt. I could almost see tears forming in her eyes.

"What's up?"

"Why didn't they invite me? Did Lucas not say anything.?"

I shook my head and she stayed silent for a while.

"It was boring anyway.. I only came because I didn't want to disappoint Mike."

"Look I'm sorry." She blurts out, tears now falling. "I should've covered for you but your right. I'm jealous of you and Mike. I wish that Lucas did those things for me. And the fact he doesn't even care where I am half of the time bothers me.."

"Don't cry.. you don't deserve him." I assure her. "There are plenty other people who would die for you. Lucas just was taking advantage of how amazing you are."

I sit and hug her for a while before she goes back to her room. I manage to get a few hours sleep before waking up to my Uncle And Aunt heading to work. They leave the same old message on the fridge

'Billy's in charge.'

Billy swings my door open.

"Get out." He says.

"Wha."

"You heard me."

"Downstairs?"

"No. Get out of the house."

"Are you crazy?"

"No. I've got a girl over and I can't have you dweebs ruining it for me. Be back at 7pm sharp or I'll beat your ass. Understood?"

Flustered, I wait for him to leave before leaving the house. Max accompanies me as she got the same message.

"He's such a dick. He thinks because my parents are gone he gets to boss us around."

"Mhm."

"He doesn't get to say what we can and can't do! Just because he threatens us!"

"Mhm."

"Y/n? Are you listening?"

I'm just thinking about going to Mike's house all day.. well it's more a daydream. He's probably busy and doesn't want me at his house 24/7.

"So what do you wanna do? I was thinking shopping? Arcades?"

"Well I was thinking about going to Mike's. Is that ok?"

Max's smile fades.

"Nevermind.. We can hang out. It's been way too long."

"No it's fine. I don't want you to feel forced to hang out with me."

"Are you sure?"

She nods.

"Well I'll see you here at 7."

"Okay bye.."

I skate off towards Mike's. I haven't thought this through at all. What if he's not home? What if he doesn't want to see me? Well it's too late for that now.

I knock at the door and Nancy answers.

"Hey y/n. You here for Mike?"

"Yeah.. sorry I didn't call in advance."

"Mike has no personal life whatsoever so it doesn't really matter. Your the most exciting thing he has."

I chuckle.

"Just head to his room. Trust me he won't mind."

Nancy rushes out of the door. She must be on her way to work. I wave her a goodbye and head into Mike's room.

I run up towards his room. I'm so exited to just get to spend the day with him.. I wonder what we will do.. maybe we could watch a movie or go for a walk.

I swing open the door, lost in my thoughts.. and walk in on a shirtless Mike Wheeler..
