"What?" I ask rain falling down my face, blurring my vision.

"I know things didn't work out last time but would you consider being my girlfriend? I know our relationship is complicated so I want to make things official.."

"Okay.. why not." I smile and he kisses me.

"Y/n! Get here right now!" My uncle yells from the front door. I forget that I've been away for almost 24 hours without saying anything.

"Well I'm probably grounded so see you on the other side." I smirk pulling away.

Agitated, Mike musters a reply. "I guess we can finish this another time?" He manages to pull himself away before cycling off.

I walk the walk of shame into the kitchen, Max looks mad but happy to see me at the same time..

"Where the hell were you?" She shouts.

"Look it's not a big deal."

"Yes it is!" My Uncle interrupts. "If your going to live with us you have to at least make an effort!"

"Don't be so hard on her." My aunt gives me a reassuring look.

"I was with... Mike. But I have a good reason! It was raining and he didn't want me to go home in the bad weather and in the dark! So his Mother agreed to let me sleep over!"

Max's jaw dropped.

"Grounded. 3 weeks." My uncle snarled.

"Fine. Bye." I strolled upstairs and saw Billy in the bathroom sorting out his hair.

"What do you want??" He growls.

"Shut up Billy."

"Oh yea. You were gone for a while.. how did you get kidnapped then??"

"I was with my boyfriend. Calm down."

"Pfft you? A boyfriend? As if."

I slammed my bedroom door shut and just lay in bed for a while. Thinking about things.

Before I knew it I looked up and the sun was setting. I'd just been zoned out all day. Not anymore. I heard a knock at my door.

"Go away!" I yelled.

The knob twisted open. My aunt.

"Hey honey. How are you feeling?"

"Oh I don't know.. absolutely brilliant! Just got grounded for 3 weeks because I stayed at a friends house!"

"Look. You know what its for. It's because you didn't tell us."

"I couldn't! The storm was bad and the lines were down. I told Max that I was going out already!"

"Yes for a few hours. Not all night. You knew the weather was bad so you should've left early."

"Whatever."

"I'm not here to argue with you. I've bought you some dinner and a drink. Have a good sleep."

"I won't."

She shut the door but Billy burst in.

"Hah! You haven't told them he's your boyfriend!!"

"Well he was my friend when I slept over. He only just asked before I left."

"Who is he?"

"What?"

"His name??"

"Mike Wheeler?"

"Nancy Wheelers brother? What a dork. I thought you were better than that y/n.." He walked off giggling to himself.

I was about to doze off when I heard tapping at my window. It was Mike.

"What are you doing here?" I whisper-yell.

"Making sure your ok. Can I come in?"

He's somehow climbed up to my window.

I pull him up and he tumbles on top of me.

"Steady there Mikey. We only just got to together."

He quickly hops off of me.

"Shut up."

"So how did you even know which window was mine?"

"I didn't. I kind of accidentally climbed into Max's room.. which resulted in a slap of the face.. but she showed me which window was yours before throwing me out."

"Oh. At least you know for next time?? Also I'm grounded for 3 weeks so this might have to become a regular thing."

"I don't mind it. Privacy." He smirked. He pushed me on the bed and we made out for a while until I heard someone coming. I shoved Mike into the wardrobe and wiped my lips.

Luckily it was only Max.

"Where's he hiding?" She asked.

He stumbled out of the wardrobe awkwardly.

She laughed softly.

"I better not become a third wheel."

"You won't." I scoffed.

"So what have you guys been doing?"

Me and Mike gave eachother a smirk.

"Gross."
