Asuka headed outside first, followed by L who was carrying the now unconscious child.
Beeeeep! Beeeeeep!
When they barely got upstairs, the signal went on, forcing them to hurry.
"Sora, what's going on?" L asked.
[I don't know. Everything is normal here. There must've been another secret signal or something]
L could hear Sora moving frantically to fix whatever happened which made him confirm that he didn't betray him. As for Asuka, she was on the lookout of the people that might come their way.
"Sora, where do we go?"
[There're guards coming to your left so go downstairs]
Sora carefully instructed the two in a very serious tone as all of his attention was now on the house structure that was given to him and several security cameras. While looking through them, he noticed a familiar figure talking to someone downstairs.
"Is that the principal's son?"
From what he remembered, this guy is Asuka's classmate. So the mysterious owner of this isolated mansion was him?
Sora was confused then on another screen he saw L and Asuka running downstairs. His eyes almost popped out when he saw a very small figure in L's embrace.
'That's....his girlfriend?'
He was too occupied by the doubts in his heart that he didn't notice the pair who were running towards the direction where Saito was. Fortunately Asuka noticed the presence of someone beforehand as the two of them stopped.
"....Saito?"
Asuka was terrified when she saw another capture target and she unconsciously asked a little too loud. Luckily Saito and the other guy didn't notice them.
As she quietly observed the two, Asuka noticed a weird smile on Saito's face. He's not the type of person that would smile creepily like that, she thought as realization struck her.

"Is he.. The dark angel?"
She also noticed that system wasn't responding even though she was this close to another capture target. Thus she concluded that this man wasn't Saito, but a different person, or more like a different thing.
"It seems like he ate him"
Asuka stared at L, wide eyed.
"What? What do you mean he ate him?"
"He can take over someone else's body by eating their soul. Before, Saito was just a fictional character but perhaps something happened and made him realistic enough to be eaten by him"
Asuka had a hard time understanding what happened. Also it wasn't an idle time to keep standing there absentmindedly. Since the dark angel or whatever was blocking their exit Asuka decided to turn around and go search for a different exit.
Unluckily they heard footsteps behind them.
"Ariana, swallow it"
"What the hell is this?" Asuka mumbled but without waiting for an explanation, she swallowed the weird green orb because L forcefully shoved it down her throat.
Just when she thought she'd be caught, a bunch of man in black suit directly ran through their body. Asuka almost screamed in shock but managed to hold herself back in fear of getting caught. Even though she was literally a ghost now.
'Really.. There's nothing impossible in this world'
"What was that?"
"A pill that makes you invisible for 30 seconds. You can buy it from the inventory for 300 points"
Asuka wanted to ask more but hearing the 30 seconds time limit, she decided to escape first, followed by L who's still holding the girl in his arms. They've directly ran towards the room where they came from. Using the tree as a ladder, the three of them successfully got out. Oddly, there seems to be no one chasing them and they didn't ran into a single guard during the entire process.

"So, is that the girlfriend you desperately wanted to save?"
The first thing they faced when they got back was Sora's threatening glare. Asuka, who was laughing at L just a moment ago now had a pale face.
The development of the point was low but Asuka still felt horrified by the 'yandereness' of him.
Although L seems to not caring much about it, he also had nothing to say. He only knew that the person who created this place was held hostage by the dark angel in a certain place but he didn't expect the person to be a child.
'Why'd a child play such scary game!'
They both thought internally. Soon Asuka spoke, breaking the heavy silence.
"Actually, I also have no idea. L, didn't you say you were going to save your girlfriend?"
She shamelessly put all the blame on L and acted oblivious for the sake of saving her own skin. Fully expecting L to be speechless, Asuka continued. "Oh, perhaps you're one of those types who like younger girls? But still.. since this girl is still a minor, you should wait for few more years. Next time address her as 'future girlfriend' okay?"
It seems like L turned into lolicon for no reason.
The silver haired guy clearly showed his dislike but no one cared. Sora immediately turned happy and all smiles while Asuka was glad to see the points that stopped at only 3. She thanked herself for her high IQ and lying skills.
"Then Sora, how about you return home now? You must be tired. I'll stay and nurse the girl"
"Let's meet later onee-san"
"Good night~"
The sun was already rising. As soon as Sora left, Asuka dropped her fake caring smile and fell on the couch. They were currently at L's place so she didn't really need to care about sleeping with clothes and so on.
Unfortunately she was woken up by the sound of a loud scream.
"Where am I? Who are you people? Bring me back to Saito nii-chan!"
The girl was awake and started throwing tantrum. In the middle of that, one particular vase directly hit Asuka's head.
Asuka's dislike for child increased even further due to that incident.

Not all luck is good luck. Maya found herself at a character creation screen. Who was she before this? Why was she creating a character? What was the game? No idea. But she had nothing better to do and no reason not to play along. And when given the option for a rare luck-based starting class, how could she turn it down? It was rare and special! That must make it good. Right? Character-focused, low-stakes, post-death upload. Hard system: if the stats say she loses a fight, she'll lose the fight. Gods Game
The Gods gathered together in a moment of clarity and created a world where people could battle, gain powers, and eventually enough power to kill them and take their place. After a millennium, they still have little success. Some of the combatants have died, others have given up and accepted their lives as they are, others turned their back on their original calling entirely, rebelled and have decided to wage war against this world and the reason they are there. So the gods keep scooping people up from the various worlds they've created in hopes of finding their death. They had gathered from six of the seven worlds they had available to them, now they have no choice but to gather combatants from the one world they swore they would leave alone: Earth. The world was dying and the people seemed hell bent on killing each other, rather than focusing on keeping their world alive so they could all live peacefully. Earth wasn't an ideal place to choose from, but the Gods had no choice. With new combatants gathered, each blessed with a gift from the Gods, they are set loose in the world of Taimin. The play ground for the replacement God candidates. However, this time, the combatants are unaware of their true purpose, so that maybe, they can accomplish the God's true goals. Another round of God creation has begun, but with secrets kept from them, and others hunting for their deaths, can they survive the first rounds, or will they perish because of the weaknesses they carry? NOTE: I do not own that cover, I googled fantasy wallpaper planets and I found that one. ^_^ Also, this story will slightly be fanfictiony as some weapons and elements may come videos, shows, and/or books.
