《Otome game in a reality》Second route; 10. Conference

"You've a proof?" Director asked, raising his eyebrow in question and out of curiosity.
"Of course. But I'd like to recover my injuries first before the conference. Since I've no parents to participate in that conference I've to be in my best shape to argue back to those crazy beasts outside right?"
"Haha, you're a weird girl just like your brother. Do you know what he said to me when I asked him what his dream is?"
He suddenly chuckled and started asking stupid question. What's Sora's dream got to do with this situation?
"He said he'll eliminate all the bugs and beasts from the earth who got in his way to be with you"
Well, that sounds like him. I know bugs and beasts means humans other than us. I've never seen him acknowledge others expect from me as a human. I must say that's quite arrogant of him. Is he planning to wipe out the entire humanity?
"I see" I answered as if I wasn't scared of that sentence.
"It's just a warning but..." he paused and walked towards the nurse's table and grabbed a phone from the table which I recognized it as Sora's phone. I can see he was recording our conversation on his phone which he left on the table on purpose.
This shameless brat...
The director pressed the red button to stop the recording and continued. "That kid is a bit dangerous. I suggest you to keep your distance from him or others around you will get into a lot of trouble"
With that he left after putting the phone back on the table.
Ha, does he think I'm with him because I want to? I know more than anyone that this kid is dangerous. For example he buys me a lot of expensive things but how he gets that money is still unknown.
In every world money is strong. I've never seen a novel with a poor MC before. At least one of them has to be rich to make the novel interesting. Sora is most likely someone who does that kind of dirty work or connected to something bad according to the novels I read before. With his brains he can be an informant or a hacker.

It's just so cliche and obvious that I want to vomit.
If I ever go back to my world I'll right a novel where there's no cliches. Even if others found it uninteresting I'll still write it for myself.
But to do that I've to leave this world first.
Now I won't fight with these puppets of the game anymore. I'll just attack the person who's controlling this game first.

A week passed in a blink of an eye and I spend my days in my dormitory, resting without anything to worry about. No stupid missions, no bullies and no brats to deal with.
It's so peaceful that I am starting to worry about. Not only he didn't visit me, he didn't even send a single text. And whenever I check his information this number started shining dangerously.
It rose by three after the incident. And it only raised when capture target plans something dangerous.
I'll pray for myself, Sakura and those villains I fought, from the bottom of my heart.
Anyway the conference with the parents will be held today and discuss about my expulsion. I wore my uniform and tried my best to not touch my bruises. It recovered better than I thought but every move I made was still painful.
Specially my stomach where I got kicked and palm. Out of anger I grabbed that scissor too hard from the edge and ended up stabbing myself with it a little.
Soon I was standing in front of my classroom, waiting for the right time to enter. I have to be very careful not to get punched by their parents. They might welcome someone who sent their daughter to the hospital with a gun or something even worse.
I took a deep breath and opened the door. The noisy classroom went silent.
"M-mother she...she is the one.."
"You're saying seven people were beaten by this fragile looking girl?"
"Are you sure it was her?"
"Yes. It really is her! Are you not believing in your daughter!?"
A whispers of doubt spread around the class in after the moment they saw Asuka aka me. This body is really useful. Even parents are doubting their daughters because of this thin and pretty body.

"I don't care if she looks innocent or not! She's a witch in disguise! We must expel her immediately" one father said and changed the atmosphere completely, gathering all of the hatred on me. This guy is obviously Ayano's father. He was good at leading people and I heard he's extremely rich. I can tell he's rich just by looking at his golden flashy suit.
Like father like daughter.
Btw, Ayano herself who looked like a mummy because of all the bandages around her was standing behind her father, trembling in fear. It's normal to fear me since I punched her many times, specially her nose. Three of them weren't here. I guessed they're whether still in hospital or too afraid to even see me.
"Ms. Asuka, please stand here and explain everything from the beginning" Director's calm voice called me in. It kinda felt welcome so I walked in front of the board and faced all of those adults bravely.
When I stood there I truly pitied the existence called Asuka Yoshino. When her enemies all have a back up she's all alone in this world, trying her best to prove herself to others.
Just like me.
But I still had my mother when I was in high school which makes my situation slightly better than hers.
"First I apologize for what I've done. I admit i went too far this time. But I can guarantee it was a self defense. I have only one friend in the class so I was very happy when Koeda-san, Yuba-san and Morizono-san called me out that day..."
"Bullshit! It was you who called us out first to the staff room. We've a witness!"
What witness? Is it some random student you threatened or bribed to become your witness?
"Can you please shut your mouth for a minute Koeda Ayano-san? I am trying to explain our situation here" I warned her in a low tone with a smile.
"As I said before I can 100% guarantee it was a self defense."
Hearing me she gulped and went silent. Even their parents didn't say anything. Asuka's face looked scary when I practiced Sora's dark smile in front of the mirror. It was enough to shut everyone up and pay attention to my words.
"Ahem... so when I followed them to the staff room I felt something was off but believed in my classmates. But when we entered there was four other girls I've never seen before and they tried to humiliate me by beating and stripping me in front of the camera. Furthermore they insulted me by calling me street rat and threatened me to keep my distance from my precious brother whom I grew up with. It angered me so much that I had no choice to fight back furiously so out of anger I overdid it"
A gasp escaped from some of the parents. Of course no parent would expect something like that from their daughters.
"Y-You've no proof! I swear it wasn't like that. She's the one..." one of the Ayano's follower Yuba Ichika tried to defend herself but I cut her off again.
"Do you guys remember this?"
"M-my phone..." other girl mumbled. Her parents seem to recognize her daughter's phone too.
I stole her phone and saved the video during our fight. I purposely didn't cause severe damage to the owner of this phone that was recording our fight so that she can come here and testify it's her phone.
"Mind unlocking it?"
She seems to realize my intention and stepped back. There's no point in acting it isn't hers since her parents are here.
"Please unlock the phone. We've to know if Asuka-san's words are true or not" the director added impatiently.
A smile appeared on my face as I watch her shaking hand entering the pass code.
--------------------------------
After the conference I was banned from entering school for a week for using too much violence, other six girls were banned for a month and Ayano was expelled from school for simply leading them. Because the other three insisted that she is the one who threatened them to do as she said, Ayano's punishment was rather severe.
Plus I received my 300 points and another vocation for beating up people. A win-win situation for me....
...So I thought until I saw that annoying message in front of me once again.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
