"He's hear Cole, in the club. He's been watching us" I say panicked looking around trying to see if I can spot him.

"Calm down baby, breathe" he leaned down to kiss me softly on the lips, then whispered into my ear.

"Relax Hail" he kissed my cheek "I've got you" he wrapped an arm around my lower back and pulled me into him, making me feel safe. I held onto his torso in a death grip.

"Ghost, Let's get some drinks and then we'll grab a booth" Cole instructed

Ghost stepped up next to Cole on his free side to order our drinks. I let Cole go as Lana came around to my empty side but I still clung onto Coles' arm.

"It was Ryan and from what he said it sounded like he was in the club" I explained because she knew something was up from the call I got.

I was shaking and I touched my hip checking for my gun again for reassurance.

"Okay...okay" her voice went from shock to excited from one Okay to the next.

"That's good because all of us will be here. You are not that girl anymore Hailey. You're strong and a fighter, besides, after what happened at my place with Rex, Cole would never let anyone hurt you again"

I heard Cole order our drinks and then ask the bartender a question.

"Where's Eve tonight?"

My head instantly snapped to the conversation.

Who the fuck is Eve?

"She's working behind the curtain, VIP's"

"Put us back there" Cole demanded sliding a stack of cash across the wood bar to juice him.

The guy took the money without question and looked at a big bald guy who nodded his head to the bartender who then put the money under the counter.

He was bald by choice. He was the kind of guy who Bic shaved his head, rotund and large without having to do anything to be that big. He had a leather cut on but it wasn't one of our patches.

He stepped up to Cole and they exchanged a brief look and a nod before the guy silently walked us towards the back where a sparkling emerald green curtain hung.

Cole has his arm protectively around me as we walked, he had a bottle of beer in his other had. I had my head on a swivel looking for Ryan, Rex or Roxie. I had a Moscow mule in one hand and I touched my hip again with my other hand checking for my gun. It's like I had developed an ocd tick over this gun.

I was scared.

That was an understatement of the fear that was running through my body making the blood in my veins run cold.

I got that feeling in my gut again as the curtain drew back revealing a big private room.

It was dark, lit with black light and colored laser light beams, the smoke in the air billowed in and out of the beams of light.

It was dark enough that at first glance around I couldn't see shit, or make out any faces, just the set up of the room and that it was filled with people.

A long cat walk ran half the length of the room. Booths lined each of the side walls and tables filled the space between the cat walk and booths.

Silver stripper poles lined the linear stage spaced out about five feet from each other. Scantly clad women spun and hung on the poles.

Chairs lined the walk for the really sick pups that needed their face in some poor girls junk.

Bic head seated us in a large booth

I was on the inside next to the wall, Cole sat on the outside as a barrier keeping me safe. Lana sat across from me and Ghost sat across from Cole.

Lana and Ghost were in their own conversation and I tried to calm myself down. I lit a cigarette and inhaled deeply then slowly blowing the smoke out up in the air.

I took a breath and touched my gun again.

"Hey" Cole put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his side.

"It's gonna be okay Hail, we are going to stick to the plan, you will never leave my side, and everything is going to be okay. It's actually good that mother fucker is here somewhere, we can end it all, him and my old man"

I nodded, tilted my head and pushed myself up from the bench into his lips.

"I know, it's just old memories and helpless feelings coming back"

He pulled the cigarette from my fingers and took a drag and handed it back, blowing out the smoke as he did.

"You're not helpless anymore baby, you're a hell cat now, own that shit"

I nodded

"You're right" I concede

"I know" Cole winked at me

"Hey Cole" I heard a purr come from the end of the table instantly making me protective of my man.

I put my hand on his upper thigh just below the natural bulge Cole always had in his jeans. Then I narrowed my eyes, sending a warning glare to the woman where she stood, a little too close to Cole's leg that was stretched out.

"Eve, this is my old lady, Hailey. Hail, this is Eve and we need her help" I heard the warning in his voice to not be a jealous bitch.

"So you're the one huh?" She asked with a smile.

"Excuse me?" I was offended, like she was implying I wasn't good enough for him.

"The one who finally got the Cole Thomas off the market, well anyone who intentionally or unintentionally fucks my sisters life up, I'm instantly a fan of" her smile was huge and genuine making me feel like an asshole for misjudging her.

"Wait, you're Roxie's sister?" I said shocked "and you're going to help us?" I didn't quiet believe that.

"Yeah well, blood is not always thicker than water, especially when that blood takes the only man you ever loved away; just because she can" I could hear the hurt and anger in her voice.

She looked from me to Cole

"Is...Drew gonna be here tonight?" She asked him looking down at the ground.

Awe she likes Drew

A knowing smirk grew on Coles' lips

"He'll be here in a little bit" his eyes flicked over to the right and a switch flipped.

I saw his face change into scary Cole.

"There's my old man" he whispered and nodded his chin that direction.

He grabbed Eve's wrist

"Let me know when you see that bitch" he let her go, Eve nodded, then scampered off like a mouse with a hawk after her towards the back of the dark room.

My eyes followed Cole's locked stare as the curtain was being held open and pulled back, Rex stood in the makeshift doorway talking to someone who looked familiar but I couldn't place.

Bic guy walked up to them and after a minute of conversation, Rex came into the room walking towards the other side of the private room being led by Bic guy.

This was perfect because he didn't see us as he was being led to his own booth to be seated because his back was to us.

"Ghost" Cole quipped

Ghost took out his phone and started texting.

Nerves grew in my belly like a wildfire and I was gripping my gun without even realizing it.

Everyone was silent.

As Bic guy walked back to the curtain he discreetly nodded to Cole.

Ohhhh okay, he's with us.

Cole and I could see that Rex was seated with a few guys but couldn't make out who exactly they were.

I don't even care who they are I'm ready to go full Kill Bill mode right now and fuck everyone up in here that rides loyal to Rex Thomas.

"They got it Cole" Ghost had a huge shit eating grin on his face.

A small breath of a laugh left Coles lips and he shook his head almost in disbelief.

"They just secured it and everyone's ready" his tone was serious now.

I took one last long drag of the cigarette and handed it to Cole so he could finish it, then I slammed the rest of my mule.

"Don't leave my side, do you understand me? For anything or anyone. You got me?" his voice heavy with warning.

"Yes, I won't" I swallowed hard

He pulled me as close as we could get in this booth and kissed me, not hard and rough but slow and sensually.

"I love you Haley Ann"

"I love you too"

He pulled his gun out of his holster and released the safety. The three of us followed suit.

Cole kept his eyes on the curtain. When he saw Drew and Duck appear, I knew this was it. Cole and Ghost slid out first waiting for Lana and I before they moved.

I was very happy the nice Irish couple wrapped us all in bulletproof protection in this moment. I was growing into false sense of invincibility and my nerves had turned into adrenaline.

The four of us moved towards the half moon booth Rex was in. He had four guys with him.

Drew and Duck met up with us right as we approached the table.

I couldn't help myself and I slammed my left hand down on the table and pointed my gun right in Rex's face.

"Surprise motherfucker!" I gritted our through clenched teeth.

"God Damn it Hailey!" Cole chastised me as he stood just behind me but close enough in my personal space I could feel him without seeing him. I heard him cock his gun.

The rest of the our guys were crowded around the table so no one had seen me pull my gun. None of his guys made any move towards us either.

Rex looked unbothered and raised an eyebrow at me.

"You gonna shoot us all in front of everyone in here darlin?" He asked cockily.

"No bitch, just you" I said dead serious looking into his eyes as I pulled back the hammer on my gun.

His cocky look finally fell from his face. I smiled inside at that.

"Get up" I growled.

"Fuck you cunt" He said sharply.

My hand reacted on its own accord at that comment. All in one motion, I released the hammer on the gun as I brought the butt of the gun down making contact with his cheek bone, splitting it open about a half inch on the apple of his cheek.

"Get the fuck up and don't you ever disrespect her again" Coles deep aggressive voice towards his dad caught his attention, along with Cole's gun in his face.

Cole had grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him so Rex now faced Cole. A fleeting flash of fear registered in Rex's eyes before he hardened back up.

"I just took your whole shipment, we've got it secured, so get your ass up and follow me out of here. Call that sick mother fucker off too, or I'll blow the whole fucking load and you won't get shit. Diesel has it all wired up and ready to blow on my word" Cole had a look of satisfaction.

"Don't fuckin do it" Ghost quipped from the side of us as he stepped forward with his gun pointed at a guy who had his hands under the table.

"Palms flat on the table, slow"

The guy complied as Ghost towered over the table and put his hands on it slowly.

"Alright, let's fucking go, just you These fuckers can stay right here" Cole gave a glaring look of warning to the four at the table.

Bic guy clapped Cole on the back

"We will make sure that happens boss"

I was thoroughly confused, his patch wasn't Slayers but I wasn't going to question him helping us.

"Let's go, out the side door" Cole instructed.

Rex slowly slid out of the booth and gave me a murderous look. He wanted me dead no doubt.

I spit on the floor at his feet.

Jesus where did that come from? Lana's pill has definitely done something to me.

Cole grabbed his arm and yanked him towards the red neon exit sign.

"You lose" I taunted him as he went by me. Cole shoved Rex in front of him to walk and I fell in behind Cole.

Drew was at my back and Cole in front of me guiding our group out the door. So far so good.

Phase two begins.
