《Wasn't looking for love till I found you.》5| Elevator and Car

We strolled in quiet beneath the hot heat, ruminating about the moment. The ocean's waves were softly crashing on the coast, and their soothing melody echoed on the beach. Our hands dangled as we walked.

''When will I get to meet your parents'' He asked smiling down at me.

''Soon''

The sun's rays burnt my eyes, and the birds' tweeting awakened me up. I've always wanted to wake up like this, just like all the Disney princesses, but it's not as lovely and wonderful as I had hoped, it would be.

′′Ugh, Mum!! Could you please close the curtains! ′′ I yelled as I shifted to the opposite side of the bed.

But, to my chagrin, there was no response.

I didn't even bother to open my eyes. Even though I felt a slight discomfort in my neck, sleep was more essential!

″Mum!!″ I yelled once again, but she still didn't come.

″Mum″ I murmured, my eyes flickering open. My pupils dilated the minute I opened my eyes.

What the fudge?

′′Where am I? ′′ When I murmured to myself and took in my surroundings, everything came together. I was not at home because I was in New York.

′′New York, SHIT!′′ I exclaimed as I scrambled with my phone to check the time.

Thankfully, it was six o'clock.

I groaned and looked around the empty living room, which meant that Asshole was sleeping in his room. I was wrapped in a blanket. At the very least, he didn't abandon me to perish in the cold. I got up and stretched like a cat, yawning as I made my way back to my room. I entered the shower after locking my door.

Aha! I'm not going to make the same mistakes again.

Cold showers in the morning revitalize me for the day and fill my thoughts with pleasure, optimism, and new beginnings.

After turning off the shower faucet, I exited the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my torso and a towel bunched over my head. Singing a melody, I opened my closet, which had nothing I could wear but also didn't have enough space for me to bring in new clothes. I sighed and reached for a knee-length pencil skirt and a white blouse.

I tucked my shirt under my skirt and threw my hair into a bun that didn't appear like a bun at all since the hair sprouting out of my head made my head look like a bird's nest. I groaned while I pulled my hair into a neat ponytail and completed my appearance with red lipstick, a strong eyeliner that could make anyone kneel, and black high hills.

After checking myself in the mirror one final time, I exited my room and made my way to the front door. The sound of glass shattering, on the other side, drew my attention, causing me to roll my eyes and head towards the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen, my eyes widened.

Sebastian stood there with all hail splendor, his bareback to me and a towel thrown around his lower area, may I add. I could feel my cheeks heating up, and the sound of my heels clicking might have piqued his interest, causing him to turn around with a smirk that appeared to waver the minute he spotted me. When he scrutinized me with his hungry eyes, my cheeks flushed a darker shade of crimson.

′′Oh, I forgot I had a visitor living in′′ He answered huskily in his deep voice, his typical smirk returning to his face.

″How did that break? ″ I asked, ignoring his previous comment.

He shrugged,″Slipped out my hands″.

″You are going to clean that up, right? ″ I asked pointing to the broken pieces of the plate.

′′Well, will you?′′ In response, he questioned me with a sneer.

′′Nope,′′ I responded sassily, rolling my eyes, and turned to go.

′′Wait,′′ he said, causing me to come to a halt.

″What?″ I turned around, furrowed my brows, and crossed my arms across my chest.

He approached slowly and cautiously towards me in a leopard-like graze. His gaze was locked on mine as he stood in front of me.

"Does something appear to be wrong?" I fiddled with my fingertips and flattened my skirt as I murmured anxiously.

What if this outfit isn't appropriate for the office? I don't have time to change my clothes.

His eyes were staring intensely at mine. My breath hitched the moment I realized the proximity between us. He raised his hands, and his fingertips brushed across my lower lip, amplifying my heartbeats.

He stroked the side of my lip and looked into my eyes while I was heavily breathing. His ocean blue eyes appeared to captivate me like a caveman seeing the sun for the first time, his gaze twirling with so many emotions I couldn't comprehend, the proximity making it more difficult for me to think or act. I closed my eyes and took a step back just as he cleared his throat.

I blinked open my eyes and took a deep breath.

''Umm,'' He sighed and turned aside, clearing his throat. "Um, you had your lipstick smeared over there, I cleaned it," He responded awkwardly while staring at me.

''Oh! It's-fi-fine, it's tha-thank you," I answered a bit too cheerfully and immediately turned around to leave.

Gosh! Why was I stuttering?!

"Wait!" He yelled out again, causing me to come to a halt. With the new apprehensive emotion, I'd developed around him, I softly sighed and closed my eyes. I turned around with a forced broad smile on my face.

"What?" I questioned, my gaze fixed on him.

"How are you going?" He inquired, lifting his right brow.

"I'll take an Uber," I said, turning around to swiftly walk away.

"I'll drop you, grant me 5 minutes," he said as he headed towards his room before I could object.

"I can go on my own!" I rolled my eyes and went out the front door, shouting.

I stood in front of the elevator, crossed my arms across my chest, and tapped my foot impatiently while I waited for it. When I noticed the elevator was still on the bottom floor, I furrowed my brows. From the minute I called for it, it remained on the ground floor. With a sigh, I continued to press its button. When I heard the front door close and the sound of jingling keys reverberate across the floor, I softly groaned.

"Yeah Josh, you can let it go now," Sebastian remarked on his phone, standing alongside me, as the elevator began to rise. That's when everything came together.

"Are you serious?" I gasped, my eyes widening as I looked at him.

"You have got some brains then," he answered, his arrogant smirk on his lips.

"I'm not going with you," I said as I went into the elevator as it opened. Silently, he followed me down the trail.

"Your wish," he shrugged, and I was surprised he didn't dispute much about it.

Thank god.

"However," he said.

Spoke too soon.

"You're already late, and now you'll have to wait for another 5 to 10 minutes for the Uber to come. So, in conclusion, your first day of work will be wrecked " He looked at me blankly as he said.

When he realized I didn't appear to be convinced, he continued,

"What do you think your boss would think of you if you're late for work on the first day? The first impression is the last one, remember?"

"Fine-fine " I grumbled rolling my eyes.

"Fine, what?" his typical annoying sneer on his face.

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I had a feeling this was a horrendous idea.

"Fine, I'll go with you," I said, raising an eyebrow at him, daring him to say anything.

"That's a smart decision," he said with an amused chuckle and a shake of his head.

That's what I thought.

''Childish'' He chuckled as he murmured.''Huh! 'Did you say anything?' I questioned, lifting my brows challenging him to repeat, knowing that if I were a cartoon character, the fire would have been shooting out of my ears right now.

He laughed and looked at me, while I stared at the closed doors of the elevator, which I found more intriguing than the man standing beside me. His intense gaze was fixated on me the entire time, causing me to writhe in my position, but I didn't turn around and initiate any kind of eye contact.

When the elevator came to a halt, I softly breathed. I dashed out of it as soon as its doors opened. I didn't stop or turn around when I heard an amused chuckle behind me.

When the elevator came to a halt, I softly breathed. I dashed out of it as soon as its doors opened. I didn't stop or turn around when I heard an amused chuckle behind me.

"Follow me." His deep voice boomed through the parking lot, and I came to a halt, turning around to see him heading in the opposite direction.

"Wait for me!" I yelled, attempting to quicken up the pace, but these ridiculous heels were making it impossible for me to walk without stumbling.

"You were fleeing from me, and now you want me to wait? Decide what you want, sweetheart." He answered smugly, his gaze fixed forward.

"Come on," I groaned and sped up to catch up to him.

While I failed terribly at chasing him, I also failed badly at controlling my drool when I spotted his car.

In front of me was a black beauty standing on its hail and splendor, as if it was aware of the enchantment it had bestowed onto its surrounds; its shining surface was like a mirror, and its headlights flashed, kindling life in its eyes. While its front appeared to have a smirk on its face, exactly like its owner. It was the most amazing and beautiful thing I'd ever seen.

"It's magnificent," I said quietly.

"It is," Sebastian said as he stood next to me.

"Do you still have doubts about riding with me?" he said, a sneaky smirk on his face.

I rolled my eyes, yet a little smile crept across my lips.

"You can't help but be cocky, can you?" I asked, shaking my head and smiling.

"I don't know what to say. I do have a lot of charms." He answered arrogantly and flung open the passenger door for me.

"And they say chivalry is dead," I said as I entered.

The interiors were more gorgeous, but I didn't embarrass myself by drooling; instead, I acted like a sophisticated lady and took in the car's internal design.

"I never thought that a car could make a girl lose her temper," Sebastian said, igniting the beauty in its life by reversing the car backward.

Though I couldn't help but see his arms bulging as he circled the driving wheel, I ignored it.

"I'm still angry," I grumbled.

"I would consider that a lie." He winked and turned to face the camera.

I sighed, I didn't reply back because I knew it was a lie; within a very short period of time, he managed to invade my privacy, space, head, and heart.

While the last precedent is what scared me the most.
