《Coffeeshop × Malum》VI. Matcha

You know, usually, it was Michael catching Calum by surprise. But one day it was different.
Calum had decided to turn the tables on the fluffy-haired flirtatious boy and mess with him a bit.
He had a plan in mind when walking up to the coffee shop counter, with the boy following behind him.
"So what's on the menu today, Cutie?" He tried not to blush at the pet name, before murmuring out, "I don't know yet, I've got a few things I'm deciding between."
It was a bit of a lie, but he didn't want Michael to be onto what he was about to do to him, so he tried not to sound too suspicious.
"Oh okay," Michael replied, thankfully not questioning it.
When he reached the counter, he pretended to think a moment before saying, "Hi, I think I'll take your Morning Matcha special."
"Okay, do you want a large and whipped cream on that?" The barista asked, knowing his usual orders.
"Uhm, just a medium today, and yes to the whipped cream." He was going to need the whipped cream to save his taste buds and a smaller size to tolerate what was to come.
Calum was pretty active and liked keeping fit. I mean, he had balance out his sugary drink addiction somehow. But unlike his fellow athletic friends, he wasn't interested in drinks that involved protein powders. They just ruined the pleasure of it for him, the flavor was always too overwhelming.
But that's exactly what he was getting right then. It was a sacrifice that had to be made for his own humor.
The drink he got was Matcha green tea flavored, which already had a slight herb- and quite frankly dirt flavored, in his opinion- taste. But not only was it just unsettling in a regular drink form, but it was what they used as a base for their morning specialty- which was a drink they made to be more healthy and energizing by adding in a protein supplement.

Basically, this thing was dissatisfaction in a cup. And Calum would be sipping through it to watch Michael do the same.
As hoped for, Michael followed suit in ordering the same thing as Calum and he had to hold back as smirk waiting for his drink.
Thankfully, his drink was made pretty fast and when he received it, he quickly walked off to his seat without saying a word, trying to leave before Michael got his drink as well.
When he settled down, he took a sip of the green substance and had to hold back a disgusted reaction that desperately wanted to come through. He knew the boy was watching him. It was Michael. It was obvious to Calum that he had a thing for him and he noticed what the boy thought were subtle glances.
If he were being honest though, he wasn't necessarily opposed to it. He had to admit, the boy was different and kept him on his toes. And he liked that, strangely enough.
When Michael got his drink and sat down a few rows of chairs in front of him, he snapped out of his thoughts.
He carefully kept an eye on him while taking another sip of his own drink. The boy put the straw up to his lips and took a sip himself, unsuspecting.
It took about .6 seconds for Michael's face to scrunch up and Calum had to choke back a laugh.
'What is this? This is nasty.' Michael thought, with his eyes slightly watering as he had to gulp down the repulsive drink infiltrating his taste buds.
He looked up to Calum and instantly knew. 'That little shi- Why is he so cute, this is infuriating.'
Michael was mad but Calum was offensively adorable at that moment. Michael was pretty sure his smile was the cutest thing he's ever witnessed up until that point, but the way his eyes lit up and crinkled at the sides when he laughed so hard might have just topped that.

Despite how though he just fell ten times harder for the brunette at that moment, he still couldn't believe that he had done him dirty like this.
He decided to walk up to him moments later.
"Now that was just mean." He pouted, looking down at the nasty drink. Calum just laughed at him more while cheekily biting the straw in his mouth.
"What, don't you like my drink choice today?"
