I walk with Taehyung to the cafeteria. Everyone's already at the table, other than Jungkook.
We sit down and start talking like we normally do.
"Hey, Jin," I say, catching his attention. "You're good at math right?"
"Yeah," he nods. "Why?"
"I'm having trouble with what we're doing in class, and since you're older you've probably learned this stuff already. Could you help me?"
"Of course, I can help you with it later after school,"
I nod and start eating. We realize lunch is almost over and Jungkook still isn't here.
Normally he calls or texts on of us if he's sick and no one's heard anything from him yet.
"Have you guys seen Jungkook today?" Hoseok asks. We all shake our heads.
"He wasn't in his class earlier when I went to drop papers off to his teacher," Yoongi says.
Jungkook's probably skipping, but it's weird since he never messaged anyone saying he would.
"I'll call him," Jin says, dialing Jungkook's number on his phone. We wait to see if Jungkook picks up but it just keeps ringing. Jin hangs up after a few more rings.
"He didn't pick up, he always picks up," Jin says, getting worried.
"It's probably nothing, he could've fallen asleep or something," Namjoon says and Jin nods.
I look over at Taehyung and he looks a little guilty.
"What's wrong?" I whisper to him. "Do you know where Jungkook is?"
He stands up and pulls me up with him.
"I have to talk to Jimin, I'll see you guys later," Taehyung says, dragging me over to the lockers.
"I think I know why Jungkook's not here," He says, frowning.
"Really?" I ask and he nods. "Why? What happened?"

"Something happened a couple weeks ago and what we told him the other day probably made it worse,"
"What are you talking about?" Taehyung pauses, debating whether to tell me or not.
"You know how we announced we were together the other night and how Jungkook left shortly after that?" Taehyung asks I nod. "The other week he confessed to me,"
"What? Really?" My eyes widen, I knew Jungkook liked Tae but I never knew he confessed. I feel kinda guilty now because right after Taehyung rejected him he starts going out with me.
"Yeah. I rejected him, I only see him as a friend," Tae says. I understand now. Jungkook probably got upset, he just got his heart broken and now the guy he liked starts dating someone right after he confesses. He's probably hurt.
I give Taehyung a hug, he probably feels bad. He and Jungkook were really close and now Tae thinks it's all his fault that Jungkook's gone.
"It's okay. He'll come back soon and everything will be alright,"
Taehyung grips me tight. He's probably worried and feels really bad. Hopefully, it'll get better soon.
