《His Perfect Doll》Chapter 18

(Last update until Wednesday or Thursday!)
The cold and bitter wind nipped at my neck and nose. We had been wandering in the cold for 2 hours, and Daisy's face was pale with bright red cheeks and nose.
Copper was visibly weak. He was only a puppy, and we had been walking in the cold.
I didn't pay much attention to Dove, as I didn't love her.
Daisy started to stir. "It's cold," she whispered.
"I know, love, just a little longer."
She snuggled closer to me. It made my heart hurt to ask her to get up.
"Daisy, I need you to walk, can you do that?" I asked.
She slowly nodded. I set her down and she ran to Dove. They held each other as they walked. The next thing I heard was Daisy's sobs.
"They were going to free us," she whispered.
"I know, Daisy."
"We were going to get out of this hellhole!"
Daisy trembled as she sobbed. I knew she didn't mean those words. I knew that she secretly loved me. She was just scared to admit it.
I saw something that was dark brown in the distance. It was huge. My heart started to beat faster as I realized it had windows. The windows were boarded up, but it was still a house.
I grabbed Dove and Daisy and dragged them to the house. I quickly threw them in, Copper close behind. I would have to find food, as this house looked like no one had lived in it for at least a year.
I started to look through closets, trying to find a hammer. Weirdly, I found a hammer and nails. I then broke a chair and used the wood to board up the door.
I then turned towards Daisy.

I refused to look him in the eye. He was the reason that I was here in the first place. He'd done everything bad to me. He raped me, beat me, beat my friend, not allow me freedom. I absolutely despised him.
"I'll start a fire," he said, clearing his throat. He walked to the fireplace and brought the chair fragments with him. He pulled a lighter out and set fire to the wood.
Copper, Dove, and I gathered by the fire. The warmth was probably the most comforting thing I had felt in ages.
"I love you Daisy," Peter whispered.
I stayed silent. I felt his big hands pulling me towards him.
"I said I love you."
"You can do what you want to me. You can rape me, kill me, beat me, but I will never say I love you." I said through tears.
Peter suddenly started sobbing. He threw me to the ground and stood up.
"I just want you to love me! I know you love me! We made love!"
"You raped me, Peter! I never wanted it!"
"You're lying! You're just scared of commitment! I know you want to start a family with me!"
"I don't love you, get that into your sick fucking head!"
Peter ran off, sobbing.
I sighed and laid next to Copper.
"She loves me, I know it," I said to myself.
"We made love to each other, I can clearly remember it. She was moaning, or was it her crying? No, no, she enjoyed it."
I slowly stood up. "It's that stupid fucking mutt."
I pulled my pocket knife out, walking back to the living room.
"I'll kill that dog!"

The Ascendant: Endless Reincarnation
My name is Richard Brooks. I died while saving a kid. Kicking the bucket at 28 was really depressing, you know? There’s so much I still wanted to do. But instead of passing on, I was thrust into an endless series of reincarnations. Whenever I die, I earn Karma points based on my achievements and growth. These points can be exchanged for weapons, spells, or other bonuses to make my next lives more interesting. “What kills me only makes me stronger!” Or something like that. Honestly, it feels like I’m stuck in an RPG. The difficulty setting can be pretty ridiculous too. Sometimes all I can do is grit my teeth in frustration as I die an ignoble death. But I won’t complain. Even when it’s dangerous and painful, I love life. This is all an opportunity; I’ll do my best, no matter what kind of sadistic fate the System throws at me. I will swing the warhammer of justice! Craft and enhance the most amazing artifacts! Overwhelm opponents with a barrage of auto-casting spells! Lead powerful vassals in Domain wars! All for the sake of creating an eternal sanctuary. With my unique power of Runecrafting, maybe I’ll even become strong enough one day to overturn fate… or at least find out what the hell is really going on. It might take a few hundred or a thousand lifetimes, but what’s the rush? I have all the time in the world now. (Note: R15+ This is the work of a very inexperienced author with a full time job. Please expect an erratic release schedule.)

Verdant Heart Seed - A Reverend Insanity fan-fiction
Back in the Late Antiquity Era, the protagonist meets his untimely demise. But Heaven and Earth always leaves a way out, his new cultivation journey begins anew on the path of reclaiming his former strength and defying Fate.---This is a story about a native cultivator of the Gu world. He lived in the era of/before Spectral Soul Demon Venerable (two venerable eras before the main RI plot). He suffered the rise of the demon venerable, barely able to make his arrangements before his death. He manages to rebirth, but doesn't everything go as planned. The story starts off in an isolated small word (grotto heaven), until the MC can grow and reclaim his former glory, before surpassing it. (long way, he was already rank 8 before) The MC has a pragmatic worldview, aligned with what you would expect from someone living hundreds of years in that kind of hostile environment. He doesn't shy away from immoral acts if it benefits him. The MC bears close resemblance to Fang Yuan in this regard, but his goal is not eternal life. One of my aims was to showcase the later introduced cultivation rules into the mortal cultivation (dao marks, attainment etc.) and explore novel scenarios within this highly technical cultivation environment.
