《Begging for forgiveness》Chapter 9

Cameron's POV
All hell breaks loose and the duress alarm is pushed. The doctor and Keith are arguing with Jane. Midwives and doctors come flying into my room from everywhere and see the scene in front of them. A sobbing pregnant woman, a doctor and some guys arguing with the midwife and Phil trying to push Keith out of the room. Security is called and next minute the doctor and Keith are being dragged out of the room. Security is trying to get Phil out too but I'm begging them to let him stay, he didn't do anything wrong.
Phil comes back with one of the midwives and Jane takes her to the side speaking with her. The midwife I don't know, let's Jane know the head of the hospital and then head of the maturity department are coming before leaving and Jane heading back over to me. "Cameron I need you on the bed" she says.
I get on the bed and she starts connecting the monitors again. She takes my blood pressure which is higher now no surprise and hooks up the heart monitors for the babies. They are both steady which I'm grateful for. Phil is on the phone to mum and dad who have just arrived at the hospital. But they can't get into our room as I'm on lock down because of Keith causing a scene and the doctor. I have two security guards standing guard and no one is allowed in until the head of the hospital has been. So much for my calm birth.
I fell asleep soon after only to be woken by a new doctor coming into the room. "Hi Mrs Young, I am Doctor Laine but you can call me Shaun" the doctor says. "It's Ms Tan now but please call me Cameron" I reply. "Right, I'm the head of the maternity department here at John Hunter. I heard there was quiet a commotion here today" he states. "I am so sorry about that" I reply. "Don't be silly. I apologise on behalf of my doctor, he will be held accountable for his actions today and disciplinary action will be taken. You have quiet the entourage out there trying to get in" Shaun said. "Oh. You mean my mum and dad?" I asked. "And your mother and father in law, your husband and his lawyer. They are demanding access to your medical records and that you be moved to Sydney immediately" Shaun stated. "He has no legal calm to me or the babies, we are legally separated. He signed paper work waving his parental rights to any children I birth" I replied.

"Right do you have a copy of that? It might be a good idea to have it on file. Also it would be a good idea to have a legal next of kin for yourself and your children" Shaun says. "My lawyer does I'll call her and organise it to be sent over. Can you let my parents in please?" I ask. "Sure but let's get these babies checked first if you don't mind" Shaun said.
Phil and Keiran left the room so the doctor could check me out. After he was done he said "now Cameron, your blood pressure is a little high and I'm putting you on some blood pressure medication. I am also going to admit you overnight just to monitor your blood pressure and put you on some fluids. Jane can you get that started for me? I'll let your parents in and then we will get you a room and set you up for the night. I will come check on you in the morning and send you home if everything is ok. Your twins are doing well both have strong stable heartbeats and the contractions seemed to have settled when you are calm" Shaun said. I just nodded my head. "If you can, get your lawyer to send over that paper work and sort out a legal next of kin so the hospital has it on file. Try to get some rest Cameron" said before leaving the room.
Jane set up an IV hooking up some fluids for me and about 10 minutes later my mum and dad came into the room followed by Phil and Keiran. "She needs to keep calm, the contractions were stress induced. We are keeping her in overnight as her blood pressure is elevated just as a precaution but no more stress" Jane told them all.

Mum came over to me and gave me a hug while Dad thanked Jane. Keiran and Phil stood to the side watching me. "I'm ok guys. The babies heartbeats are strong and stable, look" I said pointing to the monitors. Both boys nodded.
"Mum I need you to call my lawyer and have her send over the paper work that Keith signed waving his rights to the babies. I also need my lawyer to draw up a legal next of kin document naming the four of you so Keith doesn't get a say if something happens to me" I said. "What?" Phil asked. "I know he has his lawyer here and is demanding my medical records and to have me moved. I get a say now because it's my body but legally I need someone named to make those decisions for me if I'm incapable and it will never be Keith. We are still legally married so it would fall to him. I trust all of you here to make those decisions for me and the babies if I can't" I replied. "I'll sort it now" dad said. "Thank you. Her number is in my phone. Oh Keiran are you ok with that? Also my bags, I will need them from your car please" I said. "No problem Cam. I won't let my brother near my nieces if something happens" he said. I just shook my head, he was so sure they would both be girls and yet we didn't actually know the gender of either babies.
Dad and Keiran left the room to do what I asked while mum, Phil and I discussed everything including the names I had picked for the babies if they were girls or boys. Soon dad and Keiran were back in the room and I was struggling to stay awake. Sleep soon took over me until it was time to move me to a ward.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

The Writer
Frustrated with his limits, the young writer Seven accepts an offer from a supernatural entity, traveling to its world whilst given the chance to live past his regrets. Humans, though, are creatures that don't easily change, and his warped views of reality turn him into an unpredictable ally or foe in the game of death that is to follow. For the sake of translating his new experiences into a written masterpiece, he will spare nothing, not even his own life - so long as the work is complete. *** Romance tag was previously there, but it starts quite late in the story and I've yet to reach that part. I know how it will happen (more precisely, how I want it to happen), but currently, there are just subtle nuances that can only be left to the reader's very expansive imagination, and I wouldn't call that romance but a
