I woke up about an hour ago.
After yesterday's events, I didn't know what to make of Xavier.
My wound had healed, but there were still two punctures on my neck, bite marks.
It hurt a little to think that he would hurt me like that.
I was stressed, and sad so I started dancing.
Humming a random tune, I started to move my hands and legs in coordination.
I was dancing for a while until I heard someone clear their throat.
It was Xavier standing at the door with an apologetic expression on his face.
My cheeks turned red. God knows how long he had been standing there looking at me dance.
He walked towards me and I unintentionally took a step back.
"I'm sorry" he said looking at the floor.
"I know there is no excuse for what I did. But I was hungry and I had mixed feelings about telling you my past."
"Do you regret telling me?" I asked softly
"No, I want our relationship to not be that of a slave and master."
"What then? I asked surprised at what he was saying.
" can we be friends?" He asked looking sceptically at me.
"I think so" I said smiling.
"Good, then as your friend I would like to offer you a gift." He said pulling out a pretty looking wrapped box.
"Is this your way of saying sorry?" I asked,chuckling a little.
"Consider it that." He said, flashing his million dollar smile.
I carefully unwrapped the box. Inside was the prettiest dress I had ever seen. It was a pretty white dress with little slits on the arm.
I was so excited, that I ran up to Xavier and hugged him.

At first his body stiffened, but he soon returned the gesture.
"I take that as a sign that you like it." He said, now fully laughing.
"I love it. Thank you so much." I said
"But when would I wear a dress this pretty?"
"Tonight. There's a party in the palace and the king's order is to come with you."
"But why me?"
"All slaves have to come. And we can't let him know that we are friends. Understand?" He said looking serious.
"Understood." I said
"And remember how you told that I should find something that makes me happy last night
"Yes" I said
"Well I think I've found it." He said smiling a little
"What is it" I was excited to know what made him happy. I secretly hoped, it wasn't another girl. I don't know why though.
"Watching you dance makes me happy." He said this, winked at me and turned around and left the room.
Leaving me with a dumbfounded expression on my face. And also a little happy. And this happiness felt foreign to me, for it had been so long since I had felt it.
