(Riley's POV)

For as long as I can remember I have been trapped in this little room, with twenty other girls.

Some are old and most are young. The old ones say that there was one time when humans were free. But that time is far gone.

This room is part of a slave store that I have been in since I was around 8.

I don't remember much but I do remember my family being slaughtered in front of my eyes in my own house by bloodthirsty vampires.

I would never understand why they did not kill me too? They told me I was too pretty to die in vain and that I would make a good slave.

But that is far from what I ever wanted to be.

I was 8 then, I'm 18 now. Yes it has been 10 long years in this little room with plain walls stained with blood from the beatings the owners would give us.

I have had a fair share of beatings. I was reckless at first. But as time passed by I learnt that the quieter you stay the more unnoticed you are.

And that is exactly what I wanted to be- unnoticed.

I didn't want to be bought. I didn't want a master.

Some girls here were bought earlier but thrown back here cause they were too used. They had told me the horrors of having a master. The punishments that they bared.

Today was a day that I dreaded more than the others. Masters were coming today to pick out their slaves and I really hoped with all my heart that I wasn't going to be picked out.
