Paul pov:
Her hand grabbed mine and squeezed, it felt like she was feeling what I was, a desperation to be close to her. To hold her. I grabbed her hand back before laying back down facing her again as she shifted to the same position. She looked at our interlocking fingers for a second, as if deciding if that's what she wanted and when she didn't pull away this time my inner wolf cheered. She hadn't accepted me yet but this felt like a good place to start, she hadn't rejected me at least. I was staring at her eyes and then they met mine. Heat rippled through me with the sensation on her gorgeous eyes staring into mine, acknowledging me.
"There's something about you." She said with a smile and a laugh. My heart was ready to keep out of my chest.
"Something good I hope?" I asked semi joking semi worried that she was second guessing this.
"Definitely." She said smiling at me and squeezing my hand again
