Everything went back to normal, Yoongi attending classes, bickering with his friends and going on dates with Jungkook.

Jungkook was also getting busy with work and surprisingly Mr.Do's daughter had left them alone after Jungkook threatening to call the police on her for invading private property if she still wants to barge into the Jeon household. Everything was going great.

But Yoongi did notice some slight changes to Jungkook after they came back from Maui. Jungkook's scent was much stronger than before and it had caused some trouble here and there with other people starting to hit on Jungkook more but something else was more worrisome.

Jungkook became more possessive. He would growled at other people who looked at Yoongi for too long. He would grunt lowly warning other people who got to close with his mate. He would constantly nuzzle and try to scent Yoongi whenever he was over at Yoongi's place.

Yoongi did not mind all the scenting and cuddling as it was quite helpful to warn off other alphas because he had Jungkook's scent on him. He had not taken any suppression since they went on the trip together.

Jungkook was more touchy and loving but at the same time aggressive and pushy. Yoongi did not know what the fuck was happening with Jungkook. Maybe it was what Jungkook warned him about, Jungkook getting in touch with his alpha side. He could see how Jungkook was trying to control himself everytime he was losing his temper and it looked very hard.

Yoongi wanted to help, but he did not know how. The only way he knows how to calm down Jungkook was to hug him and caress Jungkook's hair. Yoongi had asked Jungkook what's up with him and Jungkook was also genuinely confused about it himself.

Yoongi was attending class as usual, bored as hell until he received a call from Mrs. Jeon. Weird.

He excused himself and answered the call. He was greeted with a worried voice. Yoongi had met Jungkook's parents a few times now and this was the first time he heard Mrs. Jeon's voice so worried.

"Mrs. Jeon is everything okay?" Yoongi asked calmly although he was panicking inside.

"Jungkook didn't want me to tell you this but I feel like as you are his mate, you have the right to know." Mrs. Jeom tried to talk as calmly as possible.

Yoongi was thinking of a million of thing that maybe have possible gone wrong. What is happening to Jeon Jungkook?

"Mrs. Jeon, you can tell me anything."

"Jungkook's going into rut." Mrs. Jeon decides to just go straight into the point.

To be honest, after Yoongi heard that, he could feel his hands tremble. He had seen how his brother and other alphas in hughschool go into rut unexpectedly and it was a very scary experience.

"Jungkook does not want to let you know but I did not want you to worry about him if he suddenly disappeared because his rut will most likely last for 1 week. There's no way he can hide it from you for 1 week." Mrs. Jeon explained to Yoongi.

"Jungkook would not want you to come over because he would not want to hurt you but I will give you a heads up first Yoongi." Mrs. Jeon trying to explain everything with still panicking.

"I want to see Jungkook, Mrs. Jeon. Is it possible? I'm... worried about him." Yoongi truly was worried about Jungkook, he has heard about how painful it was for alphas to go through rut without a mate or just being able to knot.

"Honey, I think you better don't come over. I really don't know what Jungkook will do to you. The only reason I told you was to not make you worried if Jungkook does not contact or see you in a week. He was planing to just play missing for a week but I thought you will definitely worry about him."

Did Jungkook really thought Yoongi would not notice if he went missing? Yoongi let out a dry laugh, thinking what went through Jungkook's mind when he thought of just going MIA for a week.

"Don't worry Mrs. Jeon, I don't think Jungkook will hurt me in any way. I will come over once my classes are over."

After talking with Mrs. Jeon for a little more, they finally ended the call and Yoongi went back to class. In all honesty, Yoongi was nervous about visiting Jungkook.

He did not plan to tell anybody about Jungkook going into rut because he thought he thought that if he told people, it might be exposing Jungkook's personal information.

After classes ended, he went straight to Jeon's household. He did not tell his parents or his brother, especially his brother because Yongho will not let him go to see Jungkook especially when Jungkook was in such a state.

On his taxi ride to Jungkook's house, he did a lot of research about an alpha's rut and it all made sense. All of the changes Jungkook were having were symptoms of an alpha going into rut. Alphas' rut are less common compared to omegas' heat and it usually happens when the alpha reached 18 and after the alpha has met his/her mate.

Alphas' rut are more aggressive and alphas will be more rough and needy but in a dominant way. Alphas will be in a lot of pain, similar with omegas if they do not mate with their partner or having their knots released. Alphas will have little to no control over themselves and it will be very hard for them to rationalise things.

The more Yoongi read about alpha ruts, the more nervous he becomes. Will he come out in one piece after meeting Jungkook?
