《Haunted Love | Colby Brock x reader✔》Chapter 39

The sound of waves crashing and seagulls, making a lot of noise woke me up. I opened my eyes and was utterly confused as to why I was at the beach.
No one was on the beach though.
A cold gust of wind blew my hair into my face. At least I had this jacket on to keep me warm.
I noticed that the bench I was laying on was really comfortable. I looked up and saw a sleeping Colby. He had no jacket on and I could see he was getting cold.
I slowly stood up, not wanting him to wake up, got the jacket off and dropped it over Colby's shoulders.
My feet touched the sand and I walked closer towards the water. As I came closer I noticed a small bottle. It had a white letter inside.
As curiosity washed over me, I grabbed the bottle and opened it up. I took out the letter and untied the string attached to it.
The handwriting was familiar. It read:
I love how you hold me. I love how you tell me I'm handsome. I love how you look at me funny when I say something stupid. I love how you make me happy. I love how you smile when I see you. I love how you laugh when I say something random, or stupid. I love the face you make when I make weird laughing sounds. I love how you ask me if I'm alright when I can't stop laughing. I love how you make me feel. I love how you tell me I look cute. I love how you like my pajamas. I love how you talk about music for hours. I love how you say sweet things to me. I love how you whisper in my ear when it's really quiet. I love how you squeeze me so hard when I hug you. I love how I can talk to you for hours about anything, and you listen, and listen. I love how we call each other as soon as we wake up, even though we live in the same house. I love how you sound when I wake you up. I love how the dogs have more sex with you than I do, just kidding. I love how you want to spend every day with me. I love how you squeeze my hand. I love how you rub my back, and kiss my neck. I love how you lay next to me, and tell me that everything's perfect. I love how everything is perfect. I love how you see the person I really am. I love how you say we are perfect for each other. I love how you make me cry, but not because I'm upset or sad, or you hurt me, but because you made me the happiest person ever. I love how I wake up in the morning for you. I love how I anticipate seeing you. I love how you kiss me. I love how I look at the empty space in my bed, and wish you were filling it. I love how I get nervous when I see you, but feel more comfortable with you than I do with anyone else. I love how my parents love you. I love how you deal with my picky eating habits. I love how you worry about me, and take care of me. I love how you offer to pay for me when we go places. I love how you insist everything will be alright, and make me feel at ease. I love how you keep me warm when I'm cold. I love how you give me weird looks at awkward moments. I love how you stop everything for me. I love how I'm important to you. I love how I make you happy. I love how you make me happy. I love how you make sure I stay in line I love how I only want to be with you. I love how I only think about you. I love how I stop everything because I get distracted and have to talk to you. I love how you get jealous. I love how you are when you are with my family. I love being with you. I love how I can see myself with you forever. I love how we talk about being together forever. I love how you think I have cute feet. I love how you tickle me. I love how you get mad when someone says something to upset me.

I love everything about you.
But now all that is gone.
I just want it back.
I want you back.
"I see you found the letter." I turned around and saw Colby awkwardly scratching his neck. I nodded.
"I guess this is for me?" He nodded.
There was a few minutes of overrated silence before I spoke again.
"Why the beach. Why not leave me at my house?"
"Since the beach is both our happy place, I thought both you and I needed a little joy in our life." my heart slightly melted as he spoke the words softly and slowly.
Again silence washed over both of us.
"Y/N, I think I really need to talk this out with you. I want, what we had, back. I really miss you. And I know that you hurt more, and that it's my fault, but I want to talk it out. Clear things between us. Please?" His eyes were watery and his regular smile was formed into a slight quiver.
"Where you suggest we talk it out. It's cold out here."
"Our house."
"I guess that'll work. I definitely need to talk to the roommates, especially Devyn."

Mother of Learning
Zorian is a teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, attending his third year of education at Cyoria's magical academy. He is a driven and irritable young man, consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, whom he resents for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, he has no time for pointless distractions or paying attention to other people's problems. As it happens, time is something he is about to get plenty of. On the eve of the Cyoria's annual summer festival, he is killed and brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take a train to Cyoria. Suddenly trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, Zorian will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery before him. And he does have to unravel it, for the time loop hadn't been made for his sake and dangers lurk everywhere... Repetition is the mother of learning, but Zorian will have to first make sure he survives to try again - in a world of magic, even a time traveler isn't safe from those who wish him ill. ********************************** If anyone is interested, I have a story-related worldbuilding site that can be found here. I don't update it as often as I should, but there is a fair amount of content there already. It also contains a page with all the fanart, fan translations, audio books and the like - you can reach it directly by clicking this link. I have a patreon account for those kind people that want to give me money. It also contains info for those who want to donate via paypal. The story was originally posted on fictionpress, back in 2011. When I reached chapter 91, I started uploading the story to RoyalRoad, one chapter per day. The story will continue to be updated on fictionpress as well as here, and can be reached by clicking on this link if somebody is interested, though at this point there is nothing there that isn't also on RoyalRoad. ********************************** The cover you see on the side has been made by a fellow RoyalRoad user Sydorow. Thank you for your time and art skills.
8 118A Soul's Wish
Hey everyone! Just a heads up. I am adding the Traumatising content tag because some parts might be considered as, well, traumatising. I want to point out though, it is not my aim to make a story that focuses on this aspect. Yuki is a college freshman that has been pulled into a fantasy world full of magic and monsters. Without any special talents, at level one, and with only a mere wisp as a companion he will need to figure out how to survive in the hostile environment. As he grows stronger and travels across this new world, he will find friends, make enemies, learn betrayal, overcome obstacles and grow into a hero. Hopefully. His goal? To save a princess, of course. A classic adventure fantasy story set in another world. Cover by the lovely Sara Lucasi Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/saralucasi/
