Dix, a man whose entire name was a bad joke, thought he’d died and gone to heaven, until reality kicked him in his name again. Sure, he would have a whole new world to explore, one full of magic and adventure, but first he would have to be tested by the gods. They promised the tests weren’t deadly, just painful. If he does well, they might even give him prizes that will make him a target amongst the population of his new world. And the tests of the gods are just the beginning. Follow along as Dix falls back on his tried and true method of making it through life, letting his subconscious do all the work while he looks for girls. It’s not like that led him to his death once before, or anything. And what do you call a life after death anyways? A man too smart for his own good, he is woefully unprepared for what’s coming his way, no matter what he thinks. Trainers, friends, even gods won’t give him enough of a head start for the things people will ask him to do. Despite the odds of survival, he’s got a job to do. Time to get to work.

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Stephen has a strange job. He is someone whose duty is to draw the line between the civlized world and the magical entities faring in or around the society. His job is rare one. There are almost no one who is capable of doing it. Whether it be a monster, spirit or an undead, he knows how to get rid of them, yet sometimes his customers do not appreciate his efforts. Even though life is hard, he, or rather what happens to him, gives a humorous taste to these stories, but considering the fact that being funny is relative, you don't have to process this paragraph. These creatures, which humanity branded disastrous, destructive and detrimental, can either be helpful or harmful, though Stephen has to deal with all of them, depending on the needs of his clients. He is the only one capable of doing this job right, helping the ones that have no interes in his strange life what so ever.

I have a figure of a depressed guy whose fate is too much: saving the world. He is not stupid nor even smart, he is not ugly nor even good looking. He is just a nijikon (A person who loves anime character or such more than real one) like me. He once thought to give up on life, but an event changes his life. I'm sure you guys start guessing how the story goes, but too bad, this one is different than the others.
