《Senior Year》Making Amends

Now that you got that weight lifted off your shoulders, you left the library for rehearsal. You walked to auditorium and saw that Gwen was already there, doing her homework. You walked up to her and sat down next to her.

"Hey. There's my greenie. How'd it go?" Gwen said.

"How did what go?" you questioned.

"You telling Thomas about that interaction between you and Alex." she said.

"Yeah. He was glad that I told him and he's not mad at me." you said.

"See it all works out." Gwen said as she put her stuff away.

"When we talked, he also had to something serious to tell me. He has to kiss his co-star for a scene in an episode of Godless." you admitted.

Gwen had a look in her eye that says that didn't look good.

"What? How did you respond to that?" she asked.

"He told me to get my consent. He also told me that he talked to his co-star about me. Thankfully, she understands." you explained.

Gwen let out a sigh of relief. "Okay. For a second, I thought I was gonna have to feed someone to the Grievers." she said.

That conversation ended when more kids came to the auditorium for rehearsal. Your theatre arts teacher came and opened up the doors. All that you guys were doing is running through the show to clean up anything. You started to get an awkward feeling when you saw Alex walk into rehearsal. He avoided eye contact with you and didn't even knowledge you during rehearsal. The only times that he talked to you or made eye contact was when he was Troy and you were Kelsi.

After your theatre arts teacher gave out notes to everyone, rehearsal ended. She let everyone leave early because a storm was coming through soon.

Before you left, you knew that you had to talk to Alex. You saw that he was heading to the senior parking lot. You caught up with him.

"Alex, wait. We need to talk." you said.

He started talking before you could got the chance to.

"If it's about this morning, don't bother." Alex said, then was about to leave.

You stopped him by placing your hand on his shoulder.

"Hey. Stop worrying about it. It's okay. I'm not mad or feel awkward about it. Also, I told to my boyfriend and he understood." you said.

You guided yourselves to a bench nearby.

"Alright. As long as everything is okay with you, then I'm fine." Alex said.

"One question though. What prompted you to tell me that?" you asked.

"Over break, I had a dream one night. I was onstage, in my Troy costume. The auditorium was empty and the lights were on me. Then, you came out, sang a little bit of 'Gotta Go My Own Way,' and we said the lines in between the song. I begged you not to leave the theatre arts program, then you gave me your theatre charm necklace. You said: 'Sometimes, promises are meant to be broken.' Then, I woke myself up and declared that something has to be done about our teacher. That's when I decided that I should tell you my feelings." Alex explained.

"Okay, that's good to know. Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow in rehearsal than." you said, standing up the bench.

"Yeah. So, we're cool?" Alex asked.

A small smile came on your face.

"Yeah. We're cool." you said.

"Good." he said.

You both shook hands, then walked out to the parking lot to make your ways home.
