《Senior Year》My Birthday!

It's Wednesday. My alarm was playing my favorite song, 'Beloved' by Jordan Feliz. I woke up with a smile on my face. I got out of bed and fixed myself a bagel with peanut butter for breakfast. A few minutes later, my mom came into the kitchen and wrapped her arms around me.
"Good morning. Happy birthday my sweet sugarplum." she said.
I smiled.
"How's my 18-year-old girl?" she asked.
"Good. Tired." I answered.
My mom kissed my cheek, then she went to get ready. I went to my room and turned on my TV.
I got back underneath the covers and put on the Maze Runner. I enjoyed my bagel, while watching Newt tell Thomas about the Maze at the bonfire. I finished breakfast and I turned my phone off of airplane mode. My phone blew up with happy birthday messages from my family and the cast. I smiled at each message and comment.
It was about 7:00am and I had to get ready for school. Both of my parents had already left for work. It took me about twenty minutes to get ready. I grabbed my stuff and went out to my car. I started it up and drove to school. When I got there, I put on my pink ' happy birthday' sash. I went to the art hallway, where I met up with my best friend, Emily. She gave me a bag of all my favorite candy and best friend themed Spongebob card. The bell rang and I went to my first class.

Surprisingly, the school day went by like in the blink of an eye. It was my easy day and I had no homework in any of my classes. Because of senior release, I left early and went home.
I sat my stuff down by my bedroom door. I sat on my bed and opened up my phone. I got notifications from Instagram, Twitter, and text messages. Dexter, Kaya, Ki Hong, and Will posted pictures of them and I to say happy birthday.

Dylan, Rosa, Jacob, Alexander, Kat, Nathalie, and Wes texted 'happy birthday' with a screen effect or emojis. They each said that they were doing an interview or something else, so a text was all they can send at the time.
The next thing I know, Thomas is trying to FaceTime me. I answered it and waited for the signal to connect. Then, Thomas appears on the screen.
"Hey love. Happy birthday." he said with his accent.
"Thank you. I'm officially an adult. How are you?" I said.
Thomas chuckled as well. "I'm good. I have a surprise for you." he said.
Thomas flipped the camera. There was a chocolate cupcake that had a lit candle on his table. He sat down in front of it and sang happy birthday. Tears developed in my eyes. Add that to the list of special moments.
"Make a wish, love." Thomas said.
I closed my eyes and thought of a wish. I opened my eyes and blew onto my phone screen. Thomas blew out the candle for me. We talked for a little bit, then he ate the cupcake.
After the FaceTime ended, I prayed that my wish will come true. I wished to see the cast sooner because I miss them so much.
Happy 18th Birthday to me!
