Harry wakes up in his bed, hearing cries coming from the other room. He gets out of bed and walks out to see whats happening. Liam is sitting against the front door with his head in his hands, shaking.
"Li? What's wrong?"
Harry walks over to Liam and sits next to him pulling him into a hug.
"Zayn...he...he..broke up with..me.."
"Oh Li, it'll be okay."
"No it won't! He didn't even tell me...why. He just..just...told me..that we weren't working out."
Liam digs his head into Harry's shirt, which is now drenched in his tears. Harry doesn't really know what to say, so he just holds Liam tighter.
When Liam calms down a bit Harry gets up to make him a cup of tea. Liam moves to the couch and Harry brings the mug to him.
"Thanks."
"Do you need anything else?"
"No I'm okay."
Harry shoots Liam a small smile and walks back to his room. It's Monday and he has lecture in 2 hours.
****
Once he got home Liam was still on the couch. He wasn't crying anymore but he had some killer bags under his eyes.
"Hey Harry. How was lecture?"
"Boring, as always."
Harry goes to his room to work on some homework when his phone rings.
"Hello?"
"What are you up to?"
"Lou, I would love to..but."
"Ziam is no longer a thing and Liam hasn't left the couch all day."
"Not completely sure, I didn't wanna bother him. Li said that Zayn just broke it off with him, without a reason."
"That's a good idea, break ups always need junk food."
There's a knock on the door. Harry gets up from the couch let Louis in.

Louis takes one look at Liam and sighs, "I brought you something Li."
"Harry told you?"
Harry looks towards Liam and mouths sorry. Louis walks over to him and hands him a pastry.
Liam takes it and takes a big bite, "Thanks."
"No problem."
Harry pulls Louis into the kitchen.
"Do you think I should talk to Zayn?"
"I wouldn't. Plus when do you ever talk to Zayn?" Louis has a confused look on his face.
"I don't, I just thought maybe I could find out why he broke up with Li."
"I'm sorry Haz but I don't know if you have ever met Zayn before, I'm pretty sure he would not tell you."
"Wow, harsh. You think he would tell you?"
"Doubt it."
They both walk back into the living room. Harry sits down on the couch next to Liam. Louis shoves himself right in between them pushing them both. Harry lets out a little giggle, Liam gives Louis a semi dirty look.
"So lads what are we watching!?"
Liam looks towards Louis, "I was thinking a love story , maybe the notebook."
"I love that movie." Harry giggles a little bit as he says it.
Louis smiles at Harry, but then realizes a love story might not be the best for someone who was just broken up with.
"Are you sure Li?"
"Yep, positive."
*
About halfway through the movie Harry ends up falling asleep on Louis' shoulder. Liam has cried about five times since the movie has started, and he is about to make it six.
"Liam, mate maybe we should turn this off."
"I like it."
"Nope we are turning this off." Louis grabs the remote trying not to move to much so that Harry doesn't wake up.

"WHY?!" Liam yells out.
Harry now waking up realizing he is on Louis shoulder and lifts his head up.
"Good going Liam, you woke up sleepy Hazza."
"Stop it with the nicknames, it makes me sick." Liam glares at them two.
Louis stands up quickly and turns to face both of the boys. He looks at his phone for the time.
"It's only 7:30. Come on lads, let's go do something fun!"
Harry and Liam both groan.
"Like what Lou?"
"Well you see Hazza I was thinking that we could all go to the football field."
Liam sighs, "What are we gonna do at the football field?"
"Play football obviously!"
"I don't feel like it."
"Oh come on Liam, it'll be fun. Trust me."
"Why would I trust you? We aren't even that good of friends?"
"Because I'm very trustworthy, right Haz?"
"Definitely." Harry smiles at Louis.
****
They walk up to the football field and climb over the gate sense technically the field is closed right now.
Louis runs into the field and starts kicking the ball around. Liam and Harry slowly walk to him.
Harry loves watching Louis play football, but he's never actually played with him.
"Hey Lou! I'm open!" Harry calls and he waves his hands.
Louis quickly notices him and passes him the ball. Harry takes it and runs up to the goal trying to score, but right as he was gonna shoot Louis comes up from behind him and steals the ball.
"Hey! I thought we were team mates?"
"You thought wrong." Louis smirks as he says it. Harry can't help but find it hot.
Liam eventually joins in on the game. He isn't really into it because he doesn't have much energy from crying all day, but to be far this did kinda distract him for awhile.
****
Right when they get back to the flat Liam says goodnight and goes into his room.
Harry leads Louis into his room. They sit on the bed.
"Thanks for helping me make Liam feel better today, well at least trying to."
"You don't need to thank me Harry. I enjoyed it."
"Do you..uh maybe wanna stay the night?"
"I was hoping you would ask that." Louis has a big grin on his face.
"You can take the bed I'll sleep on the floor."
"There is no way I'm taking your bed Haz."
"Fine you can sleep on floor if you want to."
"Or maybe I could sleep in your bed with you..?"
Harry just smiles and pulls Louis back so they are laying in the bed. They cuddle into each other, pulling up the covers and falling asleep pretty fast.

A Merchants Tale
Legends rise. Country’s fall. Empires wage war. But what supports these great powers, allowing them to function as a single organism. Is it the common man, Farmers and Millers forming the backbone of the land? The Soldiers and Guards keeping public order? The Wives and Widows supporting from the side-lines? The Nobles from their seats of power? Or the elusive Sorcerers who wield power untold? And what maggots crawl in this great creature, all trying to get a piece of its slowly decaying flesh. The gangs of the Underworld hidden in the shadows? The Bandits and Deserters hiding at the edges, ready to pounce on any weakness? Witches and Warlocks working their dark art? Or other Nations clawing at their neighbour’s, salivating over the riches they stand to gain from another’s demise. There is one group that belongs to neither group. They thrive on others misfortune and bring with them salvation and destruction in equal measure. They can raise a kingdom up or tear it down screaming and kicking. These are the merchants, the lifeblood of kingdoms, because what is the one thing above all else men crave. Is it Love? Power? Destruction? All these things can be acquired with one simple thing. Wealth. Wealth is the true power behind the world. Wealth can buy army’s, strangle kingdoms, and turn even the most devout man from his faith. Merchants come in many forms, shapes and sized, some gaudy, bleeding the people for all their worth, some tricky, preferring to make contracts and debts to trap men. And some desperate, doing all they can to sell even the most worthless of junk. This is a story of one merchant who goes against all a merchant stands for. He works not for profit but for some unseen goal, a prophesy aeons old. He comes and goes like a ghost, bringing with him hope and victory. All pray for his arrival to spare them from despair. But what about when he doesn’t show? What about the people he doesn’t save? For this man is no angel, no saint sent to save the masses. His goal was never to deliver hope. It merely isn’t time for their destruction yet. For nothing is eternal. And all things must end. But what comes after? Quick disclaimer in response to the review I got, this is my first story and somewhat of an experiment for me, hopefully my writing will get better the more I practice. Thanks for any helpful advice :)
