《TodoBaku - Soulmate》3

With the sports festival finally starting, Bakugo made it his goal to be number one. He needed to show the world how good he was and didn't give a shit about impressing others or getting his name out. He wanted to win, that was all.

But he lacked the number one spot in the first two games so he was leaning on the individual battles to get him the spot meant for him. After winning yet another round, Bakugo rested on the bleachers waiting for Todoroki and Deku's match to finish.

It was ironic, two soulmates fighting against each other. Of course no one else knew that, the two seemed want to keep it radio silent as there was no racket in the classroom about the two, which Bakugo was thankful for. If the two of them were going to do any lovey dovey shit they could do it out of his face.

The two fought, though it didn't feel like a battle but more a struggle for identity and Todoroki was losing. There was a strain inside him as he mentally fought with himself for something even he didn't know he wanted.

And then everything changed and bright, sun kissed flames poured out of Todoroki like a thundering phoenix. Bakugo was instantly sucked in as the flames seemed like they were smothering every pour though his body.

He wanted to be under those flames, facing them head to head in a fierce battle. He craved the burning touch of them and wanted to see how far Todoroki could go, how hot those flames could get. But most of all he wanted to keep looking at those flames as they flickered back and forth and completely consumed him.

He needed to fight, right now.

So he dominated his last opponents with a clear hope that Todoroki would do the same. And he did, but with his ice which infuriated Bakugo to no end.

He wanted to see those flames again, wanted to fight against those flames so he told Todoroki just that, stomping out of the waiting room shortly after.

"Wait," Todoroki said, still seated in his chair."Midoriya and I decided to remain friends." The words were out of his mouth before he knew what he was saying.

Bakugo turned around harshly."And why the fuck are you telling me?!" He snapped back, pausing when he saw the look on Todoroki's face. It was like he was just as confused as Bakugo, not knowing why he said such words.

"I...I don't know," Todoroki said, looking down as his hands in confusion. He had no idea what was going on or what he wanted anymore.

"Just make sure to use your flames," Bakugo mumbled back, slamming the door behind him. Todoroki could be as weird as he fucking wanted, he didn't care.

As long as he used his flame side, Bakugo would be satisfied.

Bakugo had let him raise his expectations high for Todoroki, letting himself think the man would give him a rightful challenge. But he was disappointed.

Not only did Todoroki not use his flame side but he didn't even come to Bakugo with a sound metal state. He was clearly confused and obviously didn't know what he wanted. Bakugo did not want to waste his time fighting someone who didn't use all the power at his disposal to win.

He was at U.A. because he wanted to be a hero and everyone around him wanted to do the same, so to face someone who remained unsure was an insult.

Bakugo didn't deserve such a win. He wanted first place because he deserved it and worked his ass off everyday to get it, not because some bastard decided to go limp on him.

He was beyond pissed and wanted to blow everything up. Starting with that fucking Half-and-Half bastard.

After Bakugo's victory, Todoroki was left more broken than he had ever felt in his entire life. It was one thing to see someome else have a break down and another to have one yourself.

He knew that this would be his turning point. Would be continue the path he made for himself or walk down the one his father created? He had no idea but first he wanted to clear things with Bakugo.

The man was obviously angry, everyone knew since he was practically chained down like an animal. After the award ceremony, the staff had told everyone to just leave him alone so he could blow off steam while they cleaned up the stadium.

Todoroki walked up to him, noticing the gold metal discarded on the floor in place of the muzzle he wore before. This didn't stop him from muffling obscurities towards Todoroki as he approached him.

Todoroki looked down at Bakugo for a couple seconds, unsure of what to say."Sorry," he mumbled, taking a shaky breath."I would like to tell you something..."

And then he went on to tell Bakugo his story about him, his father, his mother, and his cursed quirk. He told Bakugo all about his pain, his feelings, and his troubled heart until he had completely poured his heart out to Bakugo who sat there eerily quiet.

And when Todoroki finished, he stared at the floor with some sense of shame and anger. For some reason he felt really good, like his heart had been cleared. His sense of thought was no longer muddled but a simple blank slate ready to be written on.

He finally looked up at Bakugo, searching him to see what he would do. The usually irritated man looked calm and almost bored, as if Todoroki pouring his heart out to him didn't mean a thing.

He then brought his eyes down to the muzzle around his mouth, silently requesting for Todoroki to take it off. Todoroki, who was unsure, looked around but then complied to his wishes, unclipping the piece with hesitation.

Bakugo worked his jaw and then stared up at Todoroki."What a fucking dull story," he said, shocking Todoroki."So fucking what if your old man did some messed up shit to you and your mom. Fucking man up and decide! You're not four anymore stop throwing temper tantrums! And if your still being a fucking bitch about it go and see your mom you dumb shit! I don't even want to look at your face right now! It disgusts me."

Though Bakugo spit harsh words in Todoroki's face he could only see the good. In between all the cussing and hurtful words Bakugo had actually given him reasonable advice that Todoroki intended to follow. Without another word he left Bakugo, walking away with purpose.

Bakugo stared at his back in awe. The man actually had the nerve to just leave him like that."You fucking Half-and-Half bastard! Get the fuck back here and help me! You fuckface! Don't fucking leave! Shit!" He sighed, resting his head back.

Worst. Fucking. Day. Ever.
