This chapter is dedicated to SamanthaSheleskyStap for informing me I may have waited too long to update. Thanks for reading!

As I got ready to go shopping with Lily, I realized that I had nothing in common with this girl. I didn't know a thing about her, and would have nothing to talk about. She seems nice, but I don't know anything she likes to do or talk about. I met Lily at a little boutique in town. She saw me, squealed my name, and gave me a hug.

"Olivia! How are you?"

"I'm fine. You?"

"Oh I'm just great. I need your help though."

"With what?"

"Aiden says he has to talk to me about something and invited me over. I think he's gonna propose, so I wanna look good. I love your style and was hoping you could help me pic something out."

"Of course."

I thought the idea of Mr. Wright proposing to Lily would crush me, but honestly, I couldn't care less. Surprisingly, the only guy I wanted is Bill. I picked out a tight black and pink mini dress and told her to try it on. She came out looking stunning as always, and decided to get it. We went to get our nails done.

"Lily, if Mr. Wright were to propose to you, would you say yes?"

"Of course I would."

"Don't you think it's a little soon?"

"Yeah, but I love him. Who cares about how long we've been dating when it feels like I've known him forever?"

"I'm happy for you. You'll have to call me and tell me all about the proposal."

"I will. You could be maid of honor at the wedding."

"That'll be fun. Hopefully, I'll still work there."

"Why?"

"I don't think that job is for me. I love Mr. Wright, but the girls hate me, and my ex boyfriend works there too so."

"Oh, that's too bad. You shouldn't let them bother you. They're just jealous."

"I guess."

We walked around shopping for another 3 hours, until she needed to go home and get ready for tonight.

"Thanks so much for helping, I'll call you later tonight to tell you how it went."

"No problem at all. Good luck."

As I went home, I sat with the phone in my hand. I stared at it. Should I call Bill? Should I let him breathe? I want him back, but I don't know how. I guess time will tell.

I got everything ready for tonight. I was so nervous, and I knew Lily would be here any moment. As if on cue, I heard a knock on the door. Lily was on the other side looking gorgeous as always. I invited her in, and fixed my tie.

"Lily, how are you?"

"I'm fine. You?"

"I wanted to talk to you about something."

"What is it?"

"I love you, Lily."

"I love you too, Aiden."

"You didn't let me finish. I love you, but I'm not in love with you."

"What?"

"You're a wonderful woman, but I just don't feel any spark. I'm sorry, but I think it's best if we end things."

"I thought things were going well. If that's what you want, fine. I hope she knows."

"Who knows?"

"Olivia."

"Why would she know?"

"It's obvious you're in love with her. You don't invite all your employees to tag along on our dates, just the beautiful ones."

"Lily, come on."

"What, Aiden? I thought we were actually going to be something. Now you've gone and dumped me for that!"

"You're right. We can be something. Exes. Now if you would please, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY APARTMENT!"

"Fine!"

Lily stormed out, slamming the door behind her. I poured myself a drink, plopped down on the couch and muttured, "That could've gone better."

I ran far away from his building. I went home, and realized what a bitch I'd been. Just because he doesn't love me like I love him, doesn't mean I can make him feel bad about it. So I picked up the phone and called Olivia.

"Lily? How'd it go? Is the ring gorgeous? When's the wedding?"

"We're not getting married. We're not together anymore."

"I'm so sorry."

"I'm not. He loves someone else."

"Really? She can't be half as pretty as you."

"She's not. She's twice as pretty as me. I flipped out on him, and I feel bad."

"You were hurt. I'm sure he knows that you didn't mean it."

"Thanks, Liv. By the way, I know you just got out of a relationship, but you should keep an open mind. Don't wait forever to find the right guy. He could be just around the corner."

"Thanks, Lily."

I felt a lot better after letting go gracefully. I don't know when I'm going to get over him, but I'll have to. Olivia is a nice girl, and she deserves to be happy. I just wish it wasn't with the man that I love.
