《Just Business?》End of the Night

It's been two months since Nikko proposed to Trinity. We've all been so busy. With all of the publicity the company has been getting, we've had to work a lot more than what most of us would like to. I actually don't mind working so much. It takes my mind off things, and gives me something to focus on. Things between Bill and I have been getting pretty serious. I didn't think I'd end up liking him as much as I do. I don't really know what to do about him. We made it official about a week after our first date. So for two months we've been dating and it's been great, until last night. We were sitting on the couch in his apartment cuddling, and out of nowhere he gives me a key to his apartment!
Flashback
"Liv, you know you're welcome here anytime and I really like you. It's way too soon to ask you to move in, but I want you to have this."
"What?"
He reached into his pocket and pulls out a pink key. I looked at him shocked, and he smiled.
"You don't have to use it. I just want you to have it."
"Umm thanks. Where on earth did you find a pink key?"
"I had it painted. Pink is definitely more your style."
"I love it. Thank you."
We went back to cuddling, but my mind stayed with the key. Are we really ready for this? Are we that serious? Do I want this?
Now
I'm sitting at my desk, and my phone starts ringing, pulling me out of my thoughts. I picked up and Trinity started to speak.
"Hey, Liv. Some girl is in the lobby for Mr. Wright."
"What's the name? Maybe Mrs. Sanders is early for her appointment."

"She says her name is Lily Davis."
"Lily Davis isn't on the list."
"Umm Liv, she just said she's his girlfriend?"
"What? Hold on. I'm gonna call him."
I put Trinity on hold, and called Mr. Wright. He answered and I didn't know why I felt so nervous.
"Mr. Wright, there's a girl in the lobby saying she's your girlfriend and I didn't wanna let her up without you confirming."
"What's her name?"
"Lily Davis."
"Yes that's my girlfriend. She's early for lunch. You can tell Trinity to send her up."
"Okay, Sir."
"Thank you, Olivia."
I slumped in my chair, and picked up the other line to tell Trinity.
"Tri?"
"Liv? What's the story? Should I kick the girl out?"
"No. She's his girlfriend. He said to send her up, and that she's just early for their lunch date."
"Seriously? Okay. She doesn't really know where to go."
"I'll come down."
I got up, and took the elevator to the lobby. I get out to see a stunning model like girl next to Trinity.
"Let me guess, you're Lily?"
"Right! Who are you?"
"I'm Mr. Wright's assistant, Olivia."
"Oh! Nice to meet you. I'm sorry that I'm early, I just thought it would take me longer to find the building than it did."
"No problem at all. Come on, I'll take you to his office."
"Thank you. You're so pretty."
"Thank you. So are you."
"Aw thanks."
We walked up to his office girl talking. This girl was drop dead gorgeous, and it kinda made me sad. I know I have Bill and Mr. Wright isn't mine, but I just can't help but feel sad. Lily went into Mr. Wright's office, and I sat back at my desk. I was trying not to think about it, but then they walked out of the office with his arm around her hips. When they got in the elevator, I finally sighed and decided to take my lunch break. I sat with Bill and Trinity like I have everyday for the past two months. Trinity looked at me sadly. Bill was confused and concerned.

"Babe, what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
Trinity shook her head. Bill realized it was something pretty big.
"Babe, did I do something? Did I go too far last night?"
Trinity raised an eyebrow, and I almost died of laughter.
"Okay! Not a conversation I need to be a part of!"
"Oh please, Trinity! It was nothing like that. I'm a complete gentleman. I take it you haven't told her."
"I was getting around to it."
"Told me what?"
"Nothing. Can we talk about this later?"
Bill frowned, and I felt bad. It wasn't his fault, but I was taking it out on him.
"I'm sorry, babe. I didn't mean to take it out on you. I've just had a really bad day."
"No worries. What's wrong?"
"I don't think you'd wanna hear about."
"Are we gonna go through this again? Anything having to deal with you, I wanna know."
"Okay fine. Remember our first date and I had an argument with that other guy?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"He has a girlfriend now. She's super stunning, and I know it sounds bad because I'm dating you. It's not that I still like him, because I'm fully committed to you, but it's just weird seeing him with someone else. Someone better than me."
"Stop right there. No one is better than you. So stop saying that. I know you're with me, and I trust you. I know it's weird to see someone you were involved with, no matter how it ended."
"So you're not mad?"
"Of course not. I completely understand. Just promise me something alright?"
"What?"
"If you are gonna leave me, just give me some notice before things get serious. I don't wanna get my heart broken because you're not sure. I really care about you, Olivia."
"I know. And I really care about you Bill. Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere."
I leaned in, and kissed him. Trinity scrunched her nose up.
"Eww. Enough with this sappy crap, and back to me!"
"Yes, Tri?"
"My engagement dinner is Saturday and instead of it just being Nikko and I, I was hoping you guys would wanna come?"
"Of course! Why did you wait 2 months?"
"Well we've been so busy, so we never got a chance."
"Well in that case, we'll be there."
Mr. Wright walked in, without his new girlfriend, and walked up to his office. Lunch was over, and it was time to go back to reality. Only four more hours till the end of the night...
