days passed. jeongguk stayed inside the same hospital room for those days. classes had started again, and he had received tutoring from his friends on how to do the work he had been given. of course, yoongi always made the effort to come and visit him, occasionally bringing him hand-cooked meals. yoongi as well helped jeongguk with his work, hoseok and jimin showed jeongguk the new choreography they've been working on, namjoon had told jeongguk about his plan about taking seokjin to the states.

he began wishing that he could leave this state. he was sure he had gained plenty of pounds, and he wanted to loose the weight he gained. though, he was happy he didn't have to work hard and dance, but he was definitely missing it. he just wanted the day to come when they said he could leave.

a month into classes, september was to start in about three days. his birthday would be on the first. he was anxious.

a knock sounded at his door, and in came his doctor. he smiled at them, and a few words were exchanged. they brought him up to speed about his healing progress, which he was glad to hear he was doing better than a usual patient would.

“how do you feel like leaving bed, jeongguk?”

jeongguk's eyes lit up. “i'd love a change of scenery!”

his doctor laughed a little bit, smiling at him. “well, in the next week or so, we can get you in the program to help you start walking again. for now, you can use a wheelchair.”

“you're kidding!”

jeongguk almost burst with excitement. this was like an early birthday present. his doctor chuckled, leaving briefly before coming back in, holding some tools.

“firstly, though, we're gonna take off that cast and replace it,” his doctor stated simply. jeongguk nodded. he didn't need to move during this time, so he grabbed his phone and went to text yoongi.

yoongi took a moment to process what he just read. a smile grew on his face, but it was wiped away.

“mr. min! are you on your phone?”

yoongi looked at his teacher, shaking his head.

“no, sorry sir.”

he slipped his phone into his pocket and went to his laptop, going to instagram from there before opening up the chats there.
