“w-what? what do we n-need to talk about?” jeongguk stuttered. yoongi rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his coffee. he set it down.
“about those texts between you and hoseok,” yoongi said flatly. jeongguk stopped. it was only then his name was called. he stood up, going to retrieve his food, but was hesitant on going back to sit with yoongi. he looked back, but immediately looked away. yoongi was keeping an eye on him.
slowly, he made his way back and sat down. he didn't face or look at yoongi. though, the older was somewhat annoyed by the stubbornness jeongguk was exhibiting. he let out a sigh.
“you're being really immature and stubborn right now. face me, jeongguk,” yoongi said, “you should respect your hyung.”
jeongguk stopped again before looking at him once again. he didn't move or eat.
“now, tell me about those messages, or should i? i already know what they say, just wanna know why you did this.” yoongi took another sip of his coffee.
“h-hoseok said he was going to ruin your life, i didn't want that...”
“i could've gone through it if this "secret" was exposed anyways. as far as i'm concerned, he knows nothing of me,” yoongi said calmly. jeongguk looked away from him.
“i just care about you so much i don't wanna see you hurt.”
“and i don't either, but look at where that got us.” yoongi took another sip of his coffee before eyeing jeongguk's cake, “are you gonna eat that?”
jeongguk remembered his cake, nodding and taking his fork, cutting a piece and eating it. yoongi stared at him, his normal frown placed upon his face. jeongguk averted eye contact once again.
“anyways, jeongguk, why couldn't you tell me?”

“he threatened me, yoongi. i just want you to be happy and safe.”
“and not tell me, your boyfriend, about what's going on? i would've been happier if you told me, but instead my heart is aching.”
“i didn't mean to! i'm sorry...” jeongguk trailed off. yoongi sighed, looking at the boy's posture and appearance. he was definitely sorry. the regret and anguish was fairly visible to him. he took another sip or his coffee, sticking his hand out. jeongguk glanced at it before looking up at him.
“jeongguk, promise me you won't do it again.”
“but-”
“jeongguk, promise me,” yoongi gave a low growl, motioning his hand a little. jeongguk, hesitant, stuck his hand out and placed it in yoongi's. yoongi finally smiled, squeezing his hand before letting it go. jeongguk continued eating his cake, but he still felt bad.
yoongi noticed this, and he rolled his eyes. he reached over and ruffled jeongguk's hair.
“don't stress it. as long as you're mine, you'll be fine, i forgive you,” yoongi murmured. jeongguk squeezed his eyes shut as yoongi messed up his hair. eventually, he did finish his cake and drink, and stood up to throw away his trash. after that, he went back to his seat and grabbed his bag. yoongi watched him with slanted eyes.
jeongguk turned back to him, giving a small wave before turning around and began to walk away. he left the cafe, but still felt yoongi's presence. turning around, he found yoongi walking right behind him, sipping his coffee. the older lifted an eyebrow.
“you think i was leaving?”
“...”
“jeongguk, i haven't spoken to you for a few days, you're my boyfriend, i'm gonna stay with you for awhile.”
“yoongi-”
“come on, jeongguk, let's go to your dorm, namjoon and jin are probably together,” yoongi said, taking jeongguk's hand with his free hand. he dragged jeongguk along into campus.
