", who came up with this whole reunion thing?" I asked, nibbling on the red liquorice.

"All of us, mostly. Matt kinda said it as a joke and we kinda built on from that." Aaron shrugged.

"Why didn't you guys invite anyone?" Maya asked, slapping Nash's hand away from her thigh.

"I invited my girlfriend's sister, she's like a huge fan of Hayes." Taylor winked at him playfully, "Her sister is hot."

"What's her name?" I played with the hem of my shirt, looking down.

"McKenzie."

"McKenzie Winchester?" I scoffed. She's gorgeous, but her personality doesn't fit her looks.

"Yeah, you know her?"

"Um...yeah. We go to the same school....it's nothing. But I do know that Hayes had a crush on her in the seventh grade." I looked over at him. He sat there, on his phone. The usual.

"Oh, well Hayes might get a girlfriend." Taylor wiggled his brows, my heart aching. Hayes smirked, beginning to ask Taylor questions about how she looks now since she moved away last year.

"Big ass-" I stopped listening, walking into the kitchen. I hate jealousy. Its like being stabbed multiple times in the heart.

•Hayes's POV•

I watched her walk out, not even hearing what Taylor was saying about that girl. Sighing, I watched Nash stare at me in confusion. I shrugged. I still can't believe I said those things, and now she wants nothing to do with me. I mean, I didn't mean them. But I don't get why I'm still being a dick to her.

"Hayes?" I looked over at Taylor who still had the smirk playing on his lips. "Did you hear me?"

"Oh, yeah. How small is her waist again?" I asked, fake enthusiasm. After turning my head away, I rolled my eyes. I can't believe he still thinks I care. I just want Mal back. I seriously screwed up big time. I lost an amazing girl over something so stupid. I will get her back.

•Malaya's POV•

"We're going to the beach, don't wreck the house, cleaned it yesterday." Maya pointed at them with a motion of her finger. I mocked, still shocked that she could wear a bikini and pumps at the same time.

Suddenly feeling self concious in just a bathing suit in front of the guys, I pushed Maya forward. I kinda helped Nash because he was trying to blocking the admiring eyes from shooting towards Maya. "It's not healthy to tease Nash all the time." I laughed, her face becoming red.

"It's not healthy to flirt with girls in front of their girlfriend either." she snapped, my eyes going wide.

"What?" I sputtered. She ran a hand done her now pale face.

"I didn't mean to let that out...it's just that's he's been doing it for the past week. It's fine though, don't worry." she murmured, trying to brush it off my shoulders.

"It's not fine, Maya!" I scoffed, "It's unacceptable. He's in a relationship with an amazing girl, he should only be flirting with you. I say you break up with the deceit little asshole."

"Malaya, just drop it, I'd like to have a day without boys. 'Kay?" she implored, causing me to mor in agreement. I, too, needed a break. "Lets go to the public beach."

"But there's a private beach right over there." I pointed at it nonchalantly, earning a glare.

"Thanks, Captain Obvious, but I'd love to try making friends here, considering that we'll be here for a month." she remarked, getting into the car. I muttered an insult under my breath before copying her actions. I switched the radio on, grinning when the lyrics 'Treat you better' blasted from the speakers.

-

"Please!" she conjured with all her might. I, again, rejected playing beach volleyball with strangers. "I'll tell Hayes that you're deeply in love with him." she threatened. I pushed down my raybans.

I glared up at her, "That would be lying."

"Well...partly, but I'll still do it." she smirked.

"I'm coming." I groaned, pushing myself up from the towel. She cheered, pulling me towards the girls that were playing a fierce game.

"Can we join?" Maya asked a girl.

The girl called a time-out. "Defiantly! Um...you over here and you...over there. Lea, serve first!" I moped to the other side, standing in place where a girl that looked my age wasn't too far away.

"Hey, I'm Grace." she stuck out her hand, smiling brightly at me.

"Malaya, or Mal. Whichever." I smiled back, shaking it.

"You look like you don't wanna be here." she laughed. I shrugged, "Not really, my sister dragged me along with her."

We played for awhile until she broke the silence. "You know, you look really familiar." she studied my features before gasping, "Your Malaya Evans!" I blocked her face from being hit by a ball. She doesn't pay attention when she's interested in something else.

"Yeah...that's me." I then grinned, "I am pretty famous. Been on American Idol, The Voice, special appearance on Saturday Ni-"

"Oh, I just thought you were Hayes Grier's best friend." she mumbled, confused.

"I am, it was a joke." I laughed. Well, I used to be his best friend.

"Cool! I used to be a Hayes Grier fan." she told me.

"Grace! I just saw Matthew Espinosa." a girl with long hair came running over towards us.

"Oh yeah, this is Ella, my idiotic best friend. You can learn to love her though." Grace motioned to her.

"Hi, I'm Malaya."

"Ella, just like Grace said. Isn't the old MagCon group here?" she faced Grace, the question towards her.

"Yeah, we'll be here for a month." I blurted out, smiling sheepishly at them when they faced me with wide eyes.

"You as in we'll? You're staying with them?!" she shrieked, earning glares from the people around.

"Yeah, I kinda came along with them since me and my sister are best friends with the Grier brothers." I explained.

"You're so damn lucky! Are Hayes and Nash's eyes even more more gorgeous up close?" she asked, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

"Don't mind her, she's in love with 'em all." Grace shook her head. I laughed.

"Wanna hang out? I could maybe help you find Matthew." I said and they both smiled.

"Sure, let's go, but I really wanna meet Hayes one day." they both agreed, me frowning when I heard his name.

"Okay, let's go get ice cream."
