《Mrs. All-American》Prologue

My name is Kayla. You may be wondering what my last name is, but I don’t tell that to anyone, not even my family. Some things are just too personal, you know? So I just go by the last name I wish I had: “All-American.”

I chose this last name not only because all of me lives in America, but also in honor of my favorite band, 5 Seconds of Summer. If you are not a fan of them, get out of my fan fiction—er, life. Get out of my life, because you are obviously not worthy of Miss Kayla All-American.

Anyway, the thing that’s so great about 5SOS (that’s their acronym—all the coolest bands have them. Ex: 1D, ATL, etc.) is the fact that they’re so down-to-earth, like me. Trust me, I’ve watched and memorized every single one of their interviews, live performances, music videos, and radio shows (yes, I know you don’t watch the radio, but you get my point), and I can tell you for certain that they’re just like us common folk. And even better, I have so much in common with them. Luke has a toothbrush; I have a toothbrush. Ashton’s hair is brown; MY hair is brown. I might as well be related to all of them.

Why am I telling you this? Because this is the story of how I met—yes, MET, as in PHYSICALLY IN PERSON—5 Seconds of Summer. I know, crazy, right? I guess what they say is true: “Don’t stop believing!” (That song was actually written by Ashton. Journey just doesn’t like to admit it.)
