《I should care because?》Tournament Part 1

Midnight
A woman entered the bedroom. Held within her right hand was a sword. She silently walked over to where Silence slept, going undetected by any animal, spirit nor human. This showed how much skill she had.
She pricked Silence's finger, letting a drop of blood fall into the sword. This sword, a sword that she kept by her side since the moment she arrived here. Since she gave up trying to return, it is best to give it all away.
As quickly as she came, she disappeared. Leaving the sword behind, which slowly became transparent.
The following day, when Silence awoke, the first thing she noticed was the sword, at least the hilt anyways.
oooh, it a wind blade
a wind blade? I haven't seen one in a long time
really? didn't they disappear in the last war?
'A wind blade?' She read about them from somewhere. A blade that collects the wind, deadly because of the fact that one can't see the blade and can't be parried. She wondered how it ended up there, before wondering how she would hide it. She was just about to grab it when it started to blur and head towards her hand, becoming a tatoo. Her eyes widened, she never knew that it could do this.
That's weird
Yeah, was it suppossed to do that
Mmmm-hmmm, I don't remember any wind blade do that
Maybe it's not a wind blade
yeah, it could be something else
Mmmhmm, rememver the gale blade that looks like a wind blade?
But wasn't that rarer?
Yeah, it was said to disappear a few hundred years ago........
' A gale blade? But even a gale blade wouldn't be able to do that' she eyed the tatoo suspiciously. She shrugged, there wasn't much she could do at the moment anyways. She proceeded to get dressed before heading out.

"Good luck," the father said, "and make sure you don't die."
"I can try," Keme said.
Meanwhile, Silence and mother were having a stare of. I suppose that this is what happens when a quiet person meets another quiet person. Perhaps they were having a conversation.
"Come on!" Keme said, ending the staring competition.
"She's like you, a lost soul."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When they arrived at school, there was already a long line waiting for their turn to use the teleportation portal which would bring them to the site of the competition. What Silence noticed was some girls were glaring daggers at her, before glancing back at Keme with love struck eyes.
She sighed.
Keme immediately turned to look at her, "are you okay? Is there anything that's bothering you?"
She shook her head, "no" she said in the softest voice one has every heard. Somehow Keme was still able to hear her.
"Sister!" a voice called out, bringing all attention towards the person that shouted and the person she seemed to call.
"I found you! You were gone for so long that I thought that-" Angel was immediately silenced by Silence's glare.
She was attracting unwanted attention, it was making Silence slightly uncomfortable. Thee boys appeared behind her, glaring at Silence with jealousy and hatred for the sole reason that she captured their Angel's attention.
Keme immediately wrapped his arms around Silence, giving them all a glance that could kill. Some students watched closely, waiting for the drama that could erupt.
"Come Angel, we should get in line," one of them gently reminded her. All evidence of hate gone, as if it was never there in the first place.
Refusing to leave, Angel stared at Silence with tears at the corner of her eyes, "sister, do you hate me? I'm sorry! At that time...." no, it wasn't that I didn't have a choice, I did. In fact I had many choices, yet I still chose that path, who am I to ask for your forgiveness....

Silence remained unresponsive, not agreeing or disagreeing. As she thought, perhaps she really was her sister.
The three boys all went to comfort Angel, glaring daggers at her. They would've already eradicated her from the face of this planet were it not for the silver haired boy that stood behind her.
"Hmph," one of hem said when they started walking away. Ah, when was it, that I noticed that their eyes looked a bit dim, like eyes of a dead person.
"What in the world," Keme whispered under his breath, noticing what I saw. This world, it was dying sooner than I thought it was. It seemed like someone was sucking the life out of it.
If this was a play, who was directing it?
