"Did you hear? Someone has been doing the dukes paperwork," a maid said.

"I heard that no one has been able catch who was doing it," another maid.

"Maybe it was a ghost!"

Cue the shivers.

"It must be that girl, she really does bring bad luck."

"I know, if that poor boy Nicholas didn't go looking for her I bet that he wouldn't have died."

"Heh, what's his death got to do with anyone?"

"Ah, Marian, why are always protecting that girl?"

"Why is the world always against her then?" Marian said with a mysterious smile that was met with silence. Why indeed, truly she did nothing.

Marian continued to smile as the silence stretched out. She already knew, the anomalies that were happening in this world that shouldn't have exsisted in the first place. An unstable world like this where the laws were undefined was already riddled with holes.

How else, of course, how else could someone like her be in a body like this? With memories that weren't hers, she was sure that she wasn't the only one. In this case, wasn't it that this world was ending?

It's just that....this world was very childish...as if it were made by a child....
