Smile.
Something about Chenle that Jisung absolutely adored. He never wants that smile to fade away from his memories. The luminous energy that radiated off his smile drove Jisung crazy, it made him want to smile till his muscles ached.
Right now, the younger saw Chenle staring at his shoes with a fond gaze. He remembered when the two of them on Christmas morning, with an assortment of markers laying around them as they drew on each other's shoes.
It was a precious memory Jisung held dear to his heart, because not only was he spending time with the elder, he had took a bold move and scribbled a message in a small font on the back of Chenle's shoe. That was his first ever move into hinting his big fat crush on the elder.
He wondered if Chenle ever noticed it, and if he did, did he think of it as a platonic gesture? Did he even notice it at all?
"Hey Ji?" Chenle softly spoke up, earning Jisung's full attention.
"Yeah?"
"I-um, can you--? Can we-" The elder male was a nervous stuttering mess, his cheeks were painted a soft rose color as he chewed on his bottom lip. "Can we hold hands more often?"
A fuzzy warmth spread through Jisung's heart at the elder's words. They were sincere yet bashful, an unconditionally uwu worthy sight.
His thumb rubbed against the top of Chenle's hand that was still intertwined with his. He picked up their intertwined hands and landed a plush chaste kiss on the elder's hand.
"Of course we can."

Chenle couldn't stop thinking of Jisung.
Thoughts relating to the younger boy kept him up majority of the night. All he could think about was Jisung, Jisung, Jisung for hours on end.
He missed the other's warmth as well, as the coldness from the outside start to seep into his room. Sure, he may have his huge fluffy comforter but it wasn't enough.

His mind then wandered on to how would it feel like to cuddle with Jisung? He could already imagine it, his arms wrapped around his waist with his own head resting on the younger's chest. Breathing steadily in the dead of night while basking in each other's warmth.
It was something Chenle had craved for before, and now, the craving was back, affecting him more than ever. He held onto the dolphin plush that Jisung got for him, his lips gently nuzzling against the soft material.
He didn't know why he was so foolish to have pushed away these precious feelings he had for the younger, but then he remembered. Fear.
Fear had controlled how he acted and expressed himself. He had cared too much about what others thought of him. He felt so stupid, but he couldn't help it.
If Jisung had taught him one thing about having a crush, is that you always want to be around them. Seeing them smile and be happy are the highlights of your day, and when they're down, you'd do anything to make them feel better.
That's what the younger did for him. He stayed even though he knew Chenle had a girlfriend. Chenle was glad that he stayed, because he was ready to fall for Park Jisung all over again. And this time, he won't let stupid lies or judgmental people get in the way of the one he loves.

"anD HE ASKED ME IF WE COULD HOLD HANDS MORE OFTEN! BITCH I'M SCREAMING!" Jisung screeched, rolling around on his bed while Jaemin just looked at him disapprovingly.
"It's 3am Jisung, my ears hurt as well as my—"
"Ass?"
"Ye—waiT, THE FUCK YOU TALKING ABOUT? WHY WOULD MY ASS BE HURTING?" Jaemin questioned, panicking.
"Well you see...we got home earlier and I walked in on quite the scene. Please tell me you didn't do it on my couch, that's my favorite couch Jaemin-hyung."

By now, the elder male was as pink as his hair. He was so wrapped up in the moment, he didn't even notice Jisung seeing them.
"D-Did Chenle see too?"
"Luckily, he didn't. But he knows the gist of it." Jisung said, causing Jaemin to let out a sigh of relief.
"Why are you sighing? I'm the younger one, shouldn't you be more concerned about me seeing that?"
"Hm, you're a top so it doesn't matter." Replied Jaemin, nonchalantly.
"A top? What the fuck is a top? Like the toy? Cause last time I checked, I wasn't made out of plastic or wood."
Jaemin just looked at Jisung blankly. Wow, he was really that innocent.
"You know what, forget about that. You'll find out soon enough."
Not really wanting to know what Jaemin had to say next, he just brushed the subject off to the side.
"Hey Nana-hyung."
"Hm?"
"Do you think I'll ever be able to be in a relationship with Lele?" Jisung asked, tilting his head up to face the ceiling.
As his eyes traced lines in between that plastic glow in the dark stars he still had up, Jaemin spoke.
"Yeah, I believe so. Chenle seems like he's falling for you more and more by the day." Jaemin answered honestly.
"Are you sure it's not just because he misses Jieun and that he just needs someone to love him to replace her? Like a rebound."
"I doubt that Sung. Knowing Chenle, the boy means well. He's known you since forever. I know he won't intentionally hurt you like that." The elder reassured.
"For real though?"
"For real though."

This is a spin-off novel of AK – The Alchemy Kingdom. You don't have to read the other novel to understand or follow this one. It might offer some additional information and entertainment, tough. You can also check my other spin-off novel, Harbinger of Death, which will be more action-focused and a little grimdark. Even if you are not a fan of the genre, give it a chance. I'm adding some soft romance in the hopes to make it unique and interesting. I'm trying to improve my writing skills, so your comments and reviews are welcome. New chapters three times a week.
