"DDR? I can't even follow along on Just Dance! How do you expect me to play this?" Chenle whined, as Jisung already went ahead and inserted the coins.
"Sucks huh? The one with the lowest score has to do grant the winner a wish!" That was when Chenle had no choice but to prepare himself for his major defeat.
Jisung just so happened to pick one of the hardest songs on there, making the elder male suffer. Chenle tried to hit as many notes as he could, but the amount of misses that popped up on his side of the screen was saying otherwise.
On the other side, Jisung was doing quite well. He had some misses here and there but not as much as Chenle though. Once the game ended and their results came into view, the elder male's shoulders visibly slumped.
"Please don't make me do anything embarrassing." Chenle pleaded, looking at the younger with puppy dog eyes.
Of course, Jisung being incredibly whipped for the shorter male, he agreed to that term.
For the rest of the time there, the two played and bantered, having the time of their lives. Chenle even forgot what had happened earlier for a short period of time. He was just having that much fun.
It was around seven or eight when the two left the arcade, prizes occupying their arms. The two of them decided to both get each other a cute plush, with Jisung's being a chick and Chenle's being a dolphin.
"I had fun today, Ji." Chenle said, strolling right beside the taller male.
"Same, Lele. Oh! I'll tell you my wish once we get back to my place."
Chenle responded with a groan, "Why did you have to win?"
"Because I'm awesome like that." Jisung replied, a cocky grin plastered on his face.

As Jisung unlocked the door to his house, he was met with a scene that would scar him for life. Jeno and Jaemin were making out while Renjun was attacking Jaemin's neck, on his couch. Yup, they're definitely together now.
A feeling of dread ran through him. He really hoped nothing more happens, or else he won't be able to sit on that couch ever again.
When he fully registered what was happening, which took about a couple of seconds, he immediately closed the door. Saving Chenle from seeing anything.
"Why'd you close the door?" The elder asked, giving him a questioning look.
"Let's just head to the park yeah? My house is officially off limits right now."
Chenle furrowed his brows, silently urging the younger to elaborate a bit more.
"Norenmin." Jisung simply answered.
With that, Chenle knew exactly what was happening and agreed to the park idea.
The night was chilly in temperature, and even though the two had on a jacket or a hoodie, they still felt cold. They were yearning for some type of warmth, even if it was just a little bit, it would be better than nothing.
Gradually, the distance between the two males had lessened. Their shoulders were occasionally brushing up against each other, and the both of them were well aware of it.
It was until Chenle thought, screw it! He was cold and he needed some kind of warmth, so he interlaced his and Jisung's fingers together. Jisung's eyebrows raised at the sudden skinship, and looked down at their hands.
A blush spread across both boy's cheeks and the coldness they felt mostly disappeared. It was like magic.
The two of them walked over to a deserted bench and sat themselves down. Placing their plushies beside them. It was now dark, the park only being lit up with street lights. One was right over the bench the two were sitting on as well.

As they sat there in a comfortable silence, Chenle had wandered into the labyrinth of questions and thoughts he still had on his mind.
He focused onto their hands. For some reason whenever he held onto Jieun's hands, he had never felt this way. The way he feels his heart start to suddenly race as if he were on a sugar high, or the way his hands felt all tingly and ticklish.
Was it an odd sensation? Yes, it was.
Did he enjoy the feeling? Fuck yes.
To be honest with himself though, he did admit to himself having a crush on the younger when they were kids. That was when this whole kissing thing started out. But that was when Chenle was just a child, so when he grew up and matured a bit, he came to comprehend the fact that it was just a phase. Or so that's what he thought.
All of the male peers around him were always droning on and on about girls and how they wanted to date a girl and kiss them or whatever. He didn't want to seem odd, so he joined in onto the bandwagon.
At that time, Jisung hadn't came out yet, so he just assumed his best friend was straight too. Slowly but surely, he was blinded by all of the peer pressure and all the lies he told himself. He did what his mind wanted, not his heart.
His heart was yearning for the time, attention, and love of his fellow best friend. But he had pushed that all away from him in fear of getting made fun of and left in the dust. Not only that, he was afraid of rejection.
So when Jisung confessed to him, it was like his world was flipped upside-down. The feeling he had buried away so long ago replaced by fake feelings and a veil of lies, was slowly making its way towards the surface. Uncovering itself with all its glory.
He needed time to process everything. He needed time to move slowly and relish in the feeling of having a true crush. Not some crush he had built off of lies.
A small smile grew on his lips as his gaze was casted upon his worn out white converse. There were scribbles all over the white (if you could even call it white now) fabric. They were made by him and Jisung last christmas.
They had gotten each other the same thing, which were the converse shoes, so they decided to customize it. He had never paid much attention what was written on them until now.
Near the back of his shoe, he spotted small words that weren't noticeable if you didn't look up close. Squinting a bit he made out a short message: ' chick loves dolphin '
He knew what that meant. He knew exactly what the meant.

"It's just my family I guess." Tommy mumbled upset."What's wrong with your family?" Mr Awe asked, feeling confused.
