《STRAWBERRY WINE -corpse husband-》CALIFORNIA CHRISTMAS (29)

She had done it.

She had broken up with him. After hours of fighting, screaming back and forth, mentions of their toxic beginnings, she had finally just said it.

Corpse didn't usually express his emotions about many things. He kept to himself, cried over his pain, but never felt empathetic enough to cry over feelings. It felt selfish.

He tried to focus on work. The merch dropping, the streams planned, and he really didn't have a chance to recognize what he had lost. Not until Christmas.

The merch had sold out in less than 10 minutes. He hadn't fully processed it, honestly. The stream afterwards distracted him enough but he couldn't read the chat without wanting to punch a wall. Between Madison, the merch people couldn't get, and normal trolls, he was irritable and frustrated and couldn't stay on for long. It was nearly unbearable.

They hadn't exactly talked about how they would handle social media moving forward. It wasn't a mutual break up, which made it much harder to have adult conversations without screaming about it.

On Christmas day, he woke up feeling sad for the first time in the two weeks they had been broken up.

He refused to let himself get sad over it when it was his fault. All he could think about was the gift he had bought, the dinner they had planned.. it seemed so far away.

i think she broke up with him

Corpse stared at the picture for longer than he would like to admit. She was breath taking, and he just wanted to kiss her until it hurt.

He didn't realize tears were falling down his cheeks until they touched the corners of his mouth. He wiped them away aggressively, closing instagram and moving on.

Why did he have a right to cry? He was the one that did this to her. He did it to himself.

Madison tried not to be the downer of the party, but she couldn't stop thinking about him. Was he out having fun with his friends? Was he at home alone? Was another woman in his apartment?

It made her anxious to think so much about it.

She hadn't imagined the holidays without him, and she hadn't imagined a single day moving forward without him there. She supposed that's how life went sometimes. Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

Although it felt good to ignore it now, she knew she would have to eventually talk to him again. At least for the business part of their relationship. She would have to return his things, and she would have to stop sleeping with his damn hoodies. It was taking her longer than she expected to move on, but wasn't that how it always worked?

The break up was confusing for Madison. They had yelled, and said lots of things they didn't mean, but what could change that now? No matter what was said to make up for the harsh words spoken, the reality was there was some truth behind everything.

And that's what Madison couldn't get passed.

but its not posted until 5pm :) see ya then
