《The boy next door (an Impractical Jokers Fanfiction)》Chapter 27.

We arrived at this beautiful large White House. Immediately my Grandma walked out to greet us. I slowly got out of the car with my backpack and mug, took awhile for her to even notice me. I was always invisible to her.
"Wow she has gotten big." My grandma said
"Well I am growing." I gave her a kiss and a hug.
Her butler Jeffery came out and took my backpack. She was rich, I forgot to add.
"Oh no I can carry that." I said
"No no, it's my job." He smiled, I always liked Jeffery. He was nice and the only one who actually knew I was alive when at my grandmas house. I smiled back.
We all walked inside and I went up to my room without a word. I already know everything about this house and I don't like it. It's too fancy and big. The door swung open to reveal my mom.
"Honey you should be catching up with your grandmother." she said
"I don't want to. I don't like this house."
"Yes you do. Come downstairs."
"Fine."
I followed my mom down the hallway, down the stairs, through the giant family room, to the ginormous kitchen where Jeffery was preparing lunch. I stopped.
"Come on." My mom said
"Can I just stay in here? I mean I'm socializing near you guys."
"Fine, but come in the dining room in a couple minutes." She walked off.
"Still not liking it here, Miss Zoey?"
"Nope. Too fancy, you're the only thing I like."
"Why thank you. I made your favorite."
Jeffery handed me a sandwich with mayonnaise, ham, lettuce, and a tomato. It wasn't fancy and nothing like a peanut butter Jelly sandwich but this was my absolute favorite!

"Thanks!" I grabbed it and took a bite.
"Slow down on that, I know how you are with your food."
"Okay." I said with my mouth full. Jeffery went into the dining room.
Jeffery was 34, yet he got me like no one else. He was one of my bestest friends to be honest. We could always talk about anything and he was so helpful. Not to mention his British accent which was amazing. My grandmother is nothing like that, she's a complete opposite. I don't know how she found Jeffery and why she even chose him. He came back.
"You mother told me all about the Impractical Jokers."
"She did?"
"Yes and I see you fancy Mister Brian Quinn right?"
"My boyfriend yes."
"I am quite happy you found yourself a guy, especially the one you've been talking about for years."
"Thanks. I'm happy too."
"Zoey can you come in here?" My dad asked from the dining room. I groaned.
"I know but it's only a weekend, you will get through it." said Jeffery.
I walked into the dining room. The chandelier hung about with 30 little lights flickering on top of it. It was made out of diamonds and everyone was forbid to even lay a finger on it. The table was long and made from dark wood, along with the chairs which had a green background with naked Angels printed in the middle. The walls were very boring and colored red. A dark red, one you would use as a red carpet if blood that stained the whole thing. Not if that makes any sense. I sat down next to my mother.
"No zoey dear. You have to sit over there, that's a seat no one may sit in." my grandmother said.

"Oh sorry." I walked over to where she pointed. All the way at the other end of the table where I could barely hear them. Why did my parents even want me to come in here? Seats are made for sitting, not for decoration. I was so done.
"Mom." I stood up
"Yes dear?"
"May I be excused."
"But you just got here."
"Yea...but I'm not needed."
"Sit down sweetie." My dad said
"Ugh." I sat back down.
How did Jeffery stand living here? From where I was sitting my grandmother looked like an ant and I was obviously doing those things with my hand where I was squishing her. I glanced up to see I was being watched.
"What are you doing?" My mom asked
"Oh uh nothing."
"Young lady. It's not polite to slouch." I sat up straight.
"Sorry..."
"That's better. Thank you."
"... Is this better?" I leaned all the way back which made my chair tip over, causing me to fall with a loud thud. My parents both stood up.
"Zoey!" my dad said. I got up and fixed the chair.
"Accident. Honest." I laughed, I saw Jeffery was laughing in the kitchen too.
"Zoey maybe you should go."
"Thank you God." I got up and walked out rudely. I know I did it rudely and I wasn't going to apologize.
"Nice show you put out there." Jeffery said
"Thank you." I laughed
"I hope one day your grandmother may let loose and be like you."
"It's kinda too late for her." I glanced at the old lady all botoxed up. Her lips looked like she was always doing the duck face.
I went upstairs to my room and videochatted Brian. I told him about what happened and he started laughing. He was making me smile until suddenly I lost connection. I texted him saying something was going on with the wifi.... That's because there wasn't any. I ran downstairs.
"Mom where's the Internet?"
"Oh yea honey, they don't use Internet here. Just like the old days."
"WHAT!?" I yelled
"Quiet down." My dad said
"You can survive without it." My mom glanced at me with a guilty look.
"No I can't! But fine. Don't expect me to be nice to her at all!" A couple people walked back and forth in the distance.
"Who's that?" I asked
"Your grandmother got extra help in her old age. She's hired many workers. So be on your best behavior."
"She need more than just extra help." My dad shushed me but I could hear Jeffery laughing then covering it up with a cough. I smiled.
"Ok ok." I went into the family room. It was the center stage of everything. I like to be in the way at my grandma's. I despise her so much. After hours of torture I finally went upstairs and went to sleep.
