One morning at the pond by the farm, the Plantar's were having some sort of spitting contest. "This one is going all the way, baby." Sprig said as he spit halfway across the pond. "You call that a spit?" Hop Pop asked. "Now watch this." Hop Pop's spit went as far as the other end of the pond. "Just when I thought you guys couldn't get any nastier." Anne groaned. They gasped. "Nasty?" Hop Pop asked. "Why, spitting is practically a sport in Wartwood." "We even have a town record." Sprig added. "Whoever breaks the record gets a trophy." "I have a couple of golf trophies at home." I said. "A trophy for spitting?" Anne groaned. "I can't believe you two are exposing Polly to this sort of..." Polly's spit hit the cup on the other side. "Impressive." I complimented. "That's my little spitter." Hop Pop said. "You can spit the frown off a widow!" Sprig exclaimed. "Wait a second." Anne whispers. "I always knew you'd be the best in the family." Hop Pop told Polly as him and Sprig were being disgusting. "Polly, you've been surrounded by boys your whole life." Anne gasped. "It's not too late, I can fix this, you need girl time, she needs girl time, Hop Pop, wallet!" Hop Pop gives his wallet to Anne and she grabbed Polly and ran. "Where are you taking me, crazy lady?" Polly asked as they left. "Less talk, more spit." Sprig said as I grabbed him by his arm to the front yard. "Rowena, where are you going?" Hop Pop asked. "I already gave Anne my wallet, not like I have much money in there anyway."

"Rowena, what's going on?" Sprig asked. "Well, since we never really hang out just the two of us, I thought it would be a fun idea for me to teach you what we do back home." I replied. "Cool." Sprig said. "But what exactly are we doing?" "I've been wanting to do this for weeks, how would you like to learn how to ride a bike?" I asked. "Rowena, you just made a young frog very excited." Sprig replied. "But, what's a bike?" I pulled out my phone to show Sprig a video of Rosalina on a bike. "I helped Loggle make a wooden bike for you, which I'm gonna pick up later." I explained. "I got your bike to have training wheels, since you are learning, but once you get the hang of it, we'll get those training wheels off." "Cool!" Sprig exclaimed.

After lunch, I headed over to Loggle's shop to pick up the bikes. I also asked for one to help Sprig. "Loggle, are those bikes ready?" I asked as I walked into the shop. "Hello again, Rowena." Loggle greeted. "Those items you call bikes are over here." I grabbed the bikes and took them both for a short test drive. Surprisingly, they look and move like any bike back home does. "Aren't you gonna pay me?" Loggle asked. "I already paid you this morning." I replied. "I paid twice as much because of the damage that Anne, Sprig, Polly, and I did to the shop a couple weeks ago." "Oh, carry on then." He waved.

"Hey Sprig, I got the bikes." I said as I gave it to him. "Cool!" Sprig exclaimed. "Now what?" "Now, we customize them." I replied as Sprig gave me a confused look. "You know, add cool designs like fire, or lots of color." "You had me at fire." Sprig smiled. I grabbed some paint from my bag and showed him how to use it. "All you have to do is take this paintbrush and brush the paint on the bike." I explained. Sprig took the paintbrush and started painting the bike.

After the paint on the bikes dried, I was ready to ride with Sprig. "Alright, before you get on the bike, I want you to watch me." I instructed. I got on my bike and rode around the farm. Sprig looked at me in amazement as I rode back to him. "Can I try now?" Sprig asked. "Yeah, but I mentioned earlier that I got yours to have training wheels, because riding a bike takes a lot of balance." I replied. Sprig gets on the bike with training wheels and starts riding around. "I think I'm getting the hang of it." He said. "You're a fast learner." I complimented. "Usually it takes a couple years."

A few hours have passed and Sprig had mastered the bike with training wheels, and now it was time to get them off. "Are you ready to try without the training wheels?" I asked. Sprig nodded. I grabbed an axe from Hop Pop's farming tools and cut them off. Sprig hopped on the bike again and put his feet on the ground. "Remember what I told you." I reminded him. "The most important part about riding a bike is to always keep your balance!" Sprig put his foot on the pedal and started moving. "It's a little tricky." Sprig said worryingly. "The first time is always a bit wobbly for everyone." I replied, when suddenly, Sprig miraculously rode his bike around the farm. "Rowena, I'm doing it!" Sprig exclaimed. "I'm riding a bike!" I hopped on my bike to join him on a ride.

Sprig and I were riding around town for a while, but we were suddenly pulled over by the sheriff. "You two kids custody of Hopediah Plantar?" He asked. "Yup." Sprig replied. "What's going on, officer?" I asked. "I got a couple complaints from multiple businesses about two potential scammers, paying with these." He explained, showing us these IOU's with Hop Pop's face on them with big red X's. "You two are coming with me!" "If this is about the bikes, I paid Loggle double, with actual coppers!" I shouted.

The sheriff cuffed us up and brought us toward Anne and Polly. "Let go of me!" I exclaimed. "This is frog abuse!" "Hey, Anne." Sprig said. "I rode a bike!" "Rowena taught you to ride a bike?" Anne asked. "Dang it, Anne, nevermind Sprig and Rowena, how much did you spend?" Hop Pop asked. "Now, pay up, or I'm gonna have to do my duty and throw you in debtors prison." The sheriff explains pointing to the prison, which was literally a chicken coop. "We'll have to sit in a chicken coop?" I asked. "Less like sitting and more like gathering eggs for the town until your debt's paid off." He replied. "That doesn't sound so bad." Anne said. Some frogs opened up the coop to show spiders guarding their eggs. "No!" We screamed as we were pushed closer to the coop, when suddenly, Polly comes to save us. "You let my family go!" Polly exclaimed. I looked around for a plan to help Polly, when I saw the spitting trophy Sprig was talking about earlier. "That's it!" I shouted. "Hey, mustache, is that trophy made out of gold?" "24 karat, ma'am." He replied. "Alright, Polly, time to shine." Anne said. "Wait, what?" She asked. "Spit, dude." I smiled. "Spit like you never spit before." "Break that record and save this family!" Anne exclaimed. "Let's do this." Polly said as she prepared her spit. "Okay, little lady." The sheriff explains. "You get three official chances." She used up two chances and failed, but she did so good before. "Something ain't right, she's not spitting at full force." Hop Pop said. "Almost as if she's ashamed." I added. "Yeah." Anne sighed. "I think I know why." She walked over to Polly, who was looking upset. "You okay?" Anne asked. "Yeah." Polly responds. "I guess it's just kinda hard to spit when you feel gross." "Polly, I'm the gross one." Anne said. "I tried to change someone that's perfect the way they are." "You saying you were wrong?" Polly asked. "Very wrong." Anne replied as they hugged. "Okay, let's finish this!" Polly shouts as she prepared her final spit and beat the record. The whole town cheered for her. "You did it!" I cheered. "Well, your debt is paid and my work here is done." The sheriff said as he hopped away. "Thank you, officer." I thanked. "So, what are we gonna do with that extra gold?" Sprig asked. "I think I have an idea." Anne replied.

We sculpted the gold to look like Polly, just to make another trophy. "I love it!" Polly exclaimed. "Hey, Anne, sorry girl time was such a bust." "Eh, don't worry about it." Anne replied. "I mean the more I think about it, the whole idea of girl time is pretty weird, who's to say boys don't like spas." "That's why I didn't go with you, also I wasn't invited." I said. "You went to the spa?" Sprig gasped. "Without us?" "Oh, Anne , I love the spa." Hop Pop added. "Did you get that fishy pedicure?" "Yeah, it was amazing." She replied. "Oh, I agree." Hop Pop said as we all walked back home. "You know they're actually eating the dead skin off the bottom of your feet?"
