《The Calamity Girls (Book 1)》Flood, sweat, and tears

It was another beautiful day in Wartwood, Anne, Sprig, and I were practicing fighting outside, just in case we encounter another monster. "You ready?" Sprig asked. "You set them up, we'll knock them down!" Anne exclaimed. Sprig was digging holes to look for bugs. Anne got her tennis racket ready and I got my driver. "Two bugs coming at ya!" Sprig exclaimed, releasing two bugs. "Backhand!" Anne shouts, swinging her racket. "Hole in one!" I shouted as I swing my club at the bug. "Nice swings." Sprig complimented. "I was on varsity." She replied. "So was I, in fact, I was the reason our team won the championship." I added. "I have no idea what any of that means." Sprig said. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Wally walks over to the house playing an accordion. "A frog child and two monsters from the woods getting along?" He asked. "So unnatural." "Of course we get along, we're Anne, Sprig, and Rowena." Anne said. "Sprowanne against the world!" We shouted. "Disgusting!" Wally said, walking away from us, when suddenly, we heard screaming from a distance. "Was that Hop Pop?" I asked. "Sounds like he's in trouble." Anne added. "We're coming, Hop Pop!" Sprig yelled.
We got into the house to look for Hop Pop. We looked in the basement, but it was flooded. "Whoa, what happened in here?" Anne asked. "Hop Pop?" Sprig called, looking for his grandfather. Hop Pop came up from above the filthy water. "Stay back!" He ordered. "Darned burrow bugs must've chewed the water pipes!" "Our room." I said. "Our stuff." Anne adds. "All of my stuff is actually upstairs." I said. "Don't worry, Anne, I saved your stuff." Hop Pop said. "Except your bed, Rowena's bed, and your blankets, and your pillows, pencils, T-shirts, hairbrushes." "Just how long till it's fixed?" Anne asked. "Well, gotta find the leak, then patch it up good." Hop Pop said. "Oh, let me help." Sprig offered, before being stopped by Hop Pop. "Oh no, ya don't, this here's river water." Hop Pop explains. "No telling what creepy critters are swimming around." "So where are we gonna sleep?" I asked. "Well, the living room ain't no palace but the couch is comfy." He replied. "Uh, hello, they can bunk with me in my room, how fun would that be?" Sprig suggested. "Roommates, heck yeah!" Anne replied. "I don't know." Hop Pop said. "Being friends is one thing, but roommates, you think you know someone until they're in your space, and you're in theirs, and you can't stand how they whistle all the time, and they complain whenever you clean your web crusties out, Yes I have to do it in our room, it has the best lighting, my point is..." "They left a little bit ago, but as much as I would love to share a room, I'm sticking with the couch." I said.

I helped Anne carry her stuff into Sprig's room. "Here we have it." Sprig said as he opened the door. We were amazed at how his room looks. "Awesome digs, Sprig." Anne compliments. "Thanks, I'll give you the grand tour." Sprig replied as I pulled out my phone and pressed record. "Let's start with the Crown Jewels." He pointed out his action figure collection. "Oh, cool, a doll collection." Anne said. "No." Sprig chuckled. "These are my action figures of the Great Battle of..." "Incoming!" I yelled as Anne threw her pillow at Sprig. "Oops, sorry dude." Anne apologized. "What was that?" Sprig asked. "Haven't you had a pillow fight before..." I started, when suddenly, Sprig tosses his pillow at me. "Oh it's on!" I said as we all picked up pillows and hit each other. "It's fun because it doesn't hurt." Sprig said as Anne hit his face with a pillow. "Ow." "Well I'm exhausted, goodnight." I said with a yawn. "Night, Rowena!" They replied in unison.
The next morning, Hop Pop, Polly and I went to wake up Anne and Sprig. "Rise and shine, sleepyheads, ya missed breakfast!" He exclaimed. "Go away!" Anne groaned. Polly hops over to Sprig and bounced on the bed. "First time I've seen you sleep in so late, what gives?" Polly asked her brother. "I froze solid in the night and finally just thawed." Sprig replied. "What, it was like a swamp sauna in here, maybe Sprig just needs another blanket." Anne complained. "Or maybe Anne needs fewer blankets." Sprig argued. "Or maybe..." "The couch is still free in case there's trouble in paradise." Hop Pop said. "No way, it's no trouble." Sprig scoffs. "Yeah, we're the best roommates in the history of roommates." Anne added. "Not to brag or anything, but that spot is taken by my sister and me." I said as Anne and Sprig ran downstairs. "Hmm." Hop Pop wondered. "They're gonna eat each other alive." Polly said. "Oh absolutely, that's why I chose the couch." I added.
A few days later, I decided to try and help Hop Pop find the leak in the basement. There's a river back at home that I would always go to with my sister, so river water doesn't really bother me. "Did you find the leak yet?" I asked. "Nope." Hop Pop replied when Sprig opens a window. "Hey Rowena, hey Hop Pop, how much longer you think, tonight?" Sprig asked. "Not a chance." He replied. "Lemme help!" Sprig exclaimed. "You know my underwater sight is better than yours." "That's a bunch of malarkey, my eyesight is fine!" He said. "Anyway, don't you have chores to do?" Sprig groaned and left. Anne opened the other door to the basement. "Hey, Hop Pop, what's the ETA on things down here?" She asked. "Not that I'm in a hurry to move back in or whatever." Hop Pop and I gave Anne a weird look. "What, I'm just curious, a girl can't ask about her flooded makeshift bedroom without getting grilled?"

Later that night, Sprig ran past me as I spilled my water. "Sprig, what's wrong?" I asked. "Everything, I need to fix that leak!" Sprig exclaimed as he jumped into the flooded basement. "Where's that darn leak?" Sprig wondered. Anne ran downstairs and jumped in, pulling me in as well. "That leak has got to be around here somewhere." She said. "I know right?" Sprig replied with a gasp. "What are you doing here?" "I was feeling like a night time swim." Anne lied. "What are you doing here?" "Night time swim, as well." He lied. "You both came down here to fix the leak." I confirmed. "I knew it, you just couldn't wait to move out!" Sprig argued. "And you just couldn't wait to get rid of me!" Anne yelled. "If you wanted me gone, you could've just said so..." Suddenly, Anne was pulled underwater by yet another monster. "Anne?" I called. "Anne!" Sprig exclaimed as he grabbed my hand. "Something's got my leg!" She exclaimed. "Hang on, we're coming." I called as Sprig was pulled under. "Sprig!" Anne and I shouted, just as I was pulled under by what looked like a snail. We fought those monsters and came up from the water, gasping for air. "River lampreys, what are we gonna do?" Sprig asked. "They're too fast, we can't fight them underwater." Anne replied. Suddenly, our beds and pillows floated in the water by us. "Hey, Sprig, you set em up..." I started. "You guys knock em down." Sprig replied as he dove underwater with the soggy pillow to fight off the lampreys. They flew above the water. "Backhand!" Anne shouts. "Hole in one!" I added as we attacked the monsters with our fighting techniques. "Have enough river losers?" Anne asked. "There's more where that came from." Sprig added as the monsters left with a hole in the basement, draining the water. "What the heck's going on down there?" Hop Pop asked. "Some of us are trying to sleep!" Polly added in a cranky mood. "Oh, hi, Hop Pop." I said as Anne and Sprig held out their pillows preparing for attack. "So, Anne, roommate thing didn't work out?" He asked. "Not really." Sprig and Anne replied. "I just couldn't live with him, the wet towels, the heat, the humidity, the web crusties." Anne sighed. "The loud snacking, the freezing cold, lights on at all hours." Sprig added. "Sharing a room doesn't make you friends, being honest with each other does, in fact, if you ask me, you're better friends now than you were before." Hop Pop said. "Aww, how sweet, so where's Anne gonna sleep then?" I asked. "Not with me, my bucket's for one." Polly said.
I decided to let Anne sleep on the couch with me. Apparently Hop Pop didn't know a couch pulled out to a bed. "Here guys, some super loud snacks you can munch on." Sprig said giving us a bowl of snacks. "Aw, thanks, Sprig." Anne said. "No problem, anything else I can get you?" He asked. "All good, see you in the am." I replied as Sprig runs upstairs to bed. The living room was quiet after Sprig left. Suddenly, a tin can attached to a string fell through the open window. I picked up the can. "Hello?" I asked. "It's for you." I handed it to Anne and I went to sleep. "So, Anne, would you rather smell like rotten eggs, or have hiccups every day for the rest of your life?" Sprig asked through the can. Anne laughed as water started filling up the living room. "Didn't anybody fix the leak?" Anne asked, but everyone was asleep.

The Exiled Villainess Returns
(Please heed the warnings above before reading) Reborn into the beautiful but deadly world of Ethetia, she comes to a sudden awareness that she is now Livia Katrina Valentine, a character of a game of a reverse harem she once played on Earth called Aster Academy: The Feuding Houses. But this revelation comes a bit too late. You see, Livia wasn't just anyone. She was not given the anonymity of being a background character, or even the blessing of being the heroine. Instead, she has bestowed the role of being the atrocious villainess. And that is exactly what she had been. As a result, Livia triggers her own death flag event at her debutante. Her memories of her past life have the grace to come only minutes before she is accused of poisoning the heroine, Amelia. But all is not helpless. Via last-minute intervention, Livia successfully manages to avoid having her head decapitated. Being exiled was a small price to pay for retaining a pulse. Plus, at least this way, Livia can finally start to live her life, to become more than just a cruel folly. Her exile should have been a new but unusual beginning to her story. But pitiless reality comes knocking. Ethetia had once only been a background setting in a game. A pretty and still picture that mostly went disregarded as the even prettier characters on the screen unloaded their dialogue, but now, it was Livia's world. As real and wonderous as planet Earth once had been, filled with small creatures with their own wills, ambitions, and needs. Such one creature decides that exile was not enough of a penalty. That Livia, the bullish and jealous tormentor of the heroine, deserves a fate more befitting of her past deeds. One worst than death. Livia's fate is ripped out of her hands. She is forced into a collar, sold to an empire rotten with greed, and placed inside a harem where she is expected to wither and die from the inside out. But Livia refuses to be forgotten. Burning with a deep rage against those who only wish to see her fall into her own grave, Livia makes a twisted promise to herself. A promise that pushes her through the darkest moments of her life and brings to light a newfound power rooted deep inside her. So keen to discard her as the villain she has once been, the little creatures in their own ignorance brought forth something they could never dream to fathom. A beacon of darkness.

The Caring Dungeon
NOTE: I, as an 'author' am on a(n) (indefinite?) Hiatus. Without getting into too many details, the person who convinced me to write, who was my muse and my everything, is no longer in my life. I think about writing and I get physically ill and ache in ways that transcend the physical. I want to want to write, but I cannot find the energy. Life events, combined with apparently thin-skin when it comes to personal attacks on this platform, make it impossible for me. The messages, comments, and reviews I recieve(d) were so detrimental to my mental health that I've already removed one story from this website. This one remains up only because the criticisms located in this work are about my writing, and not personal attacks.I just felt like I should put something out there for anyone who is thinking about starting this story. It is not completed. I don't know that it ever will be at this point. I have lost my muse.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Not everything in this world is natural, and it's only natural to fear the unnatural. Fortunately for Manning, he was natural. Unfortunately, he found himself to be in a very unnatural state. Manning was trapped inside of a gemstone, called a dungeon core. Luckily for Manning, he found himself capable of using his newly found unnatural power to make a nature filled forest. With the help of Cara, his unnatural roommate, and Ash, his nature spirit companion, Manning dreams of covering the continent with the most beautiful and dangerous forest it has ever seen. His only other goals are to protect himself and Cara, and if he could ever remember, recover his memories. This is my first time attempting to write anything. Updates whenever I can find the energy and desire to write.

Shattered Realms - A Pathfinder/D&D game
Broke adventurers looking for a quick and easy paycheck are thrust together as circumstances around them get weirder and weirder. Authors note: This is an ongoing Pathfinder (DnD) game, which will inevitably contain references to other works due to the nature of nerds. Chapters will be random lengths, mostly as long as a game session and depending on how much I can embelish it. Also, some details may change retroactively to maintain consistency. I'm not going to write it as LitRPG, mostly because that's extra work. I'd rather the flow of the story not be interrupted by numbers. I am aiming for updates within a week or two of the game session, which will usually be weekly. Finally, there is a light swearing, gore and sexual references warning. I will update this warning if needed, but will also not write in anything that's too graphic or irrelevant to the story.

However, one night, suddenly, the old, rotting order was swept away by a mysterious storm that left as quickly as it came. The people who lived to see it called it the Ghost Hurricane. Years have passed since the hurricane's rampage. Now, a young man prepares to make his trek across the Empire's Corpse, hoping to learn the truth of things...
