I sighed "I have to do it. For Jace" I sat in my office chair, swirling around as I thought back to what Samuel said. I never did forget what he said but if what he said is what I should do, then I'll do it, no matter what

"Someone is here to see you. He goes by the name Samuel" the familiar voice of Shelby rang in my ears but what got me confused is why Samuel was here and how he knew that this was where I work

"Let him in" I responded after several seconds of silence.

"Hey Samuel. How are you?" I gestured for him to take a sit to which he obliged. Immediately he sat, he began to speak

"I'm really sorry Riele. I've been feeling guilty ever since the incident at the hospital. I shouldn't have told you such an information at your most vulnerable state. I was being selfish and I am so sorry. You don't seem to realise how sorry I am" he surprised me as tears began seeping out of his closed eyelids making me open my mouth wide in shock

"It's ok Samuel. You're forgiven just stop crying please" I said even though I wanted to ask about this unknown personality but I refrained seeing as he needed me more than I needed this piece of information

"I had given you enough time. All I told you was to do one thing but you failed. Just like last time. I don't think I've told you this but I don't like repeating myself more than twice" I gritted my teeth in anger before bringing up the already bloody knife, slicing off the middle finger of her left hand.

Tears spilled from her eyes "You're a monster" she whispered making me roll my eyes

"That's too common. Tell me something I don't already know honey" I stood up only to kick her straight in her jaw, hearing a satisfying crack of her bone. I left the room leaving her to bleed to death if possible.

"And done. We can leave now" I heard Jace reply as he locked the gates to the company. Hoping into the car alongside Jace, I started the engine before pulling out from where I parked. Driving down the half empty road, I ran over my plan hesitatingly in my head.

Biting my lip, I looked over at the being sat next to me. His attention was attached to the window making me wonder what he was thinking of. I sighed, turning around the corner to find my house a few blocks away. 'Soon, I'll have you back to me' I thought glancing at him for a second before focusing back on the road

Parking in front of the house, Jace and I got down from the car before heading into the house. I got in to find a sleeping Jade sat on the couch with Lee and Daniel resting on each of her shoulders.

Smiling to myself, I watched as Jace ventured up the stairs but not before muttering "I'll be back" to me making me nod. Walking over to the sleeping figures, I tapped Jade lightly

"Get up Jade. You need to go home" I whispered as her eyes fluttered open before a yawn escaped her red painted lips. I watched as she looked at her surroundings for a while before looking back at me and realisation set in her eyes.

Gently, she grabbed the boys off her shoulders, setting them on the couch as they stirred a little but didn't wake. "Where's Jace?" she asked and I pointed upstairs.

"Thanks for babysitting them though. I really appreciate it" I said dropping my black handbag on the couch next to me.

She smiled "It's my pleasure but they were really hard to control truth be told" she groaned before stretching.

I laughed "Sorry about that" I apologised as she waved it off until her gaze set on the clock situated above the television and her eyes bulged

"Oh God! I have to go now Riele, it's getting late and I don't want Sean to chop my head off" she said hurriedly before gathering up her belongings

"It's ok. Have a good night and thank you" I said before she waved and walked out of the house. I heard Jace come downstairs before walking over to the boys. He carried them both in his arms, taking them upstairs to their room.

I grabbed my bag before walking upstairs as well, into my room. Setting everything I had down, I stripped before walking into the bathroom to shower. Once done, I came out then put on a pair of joggers accompanied with a crop top.

I sat on the bed anxiety eating my gut open. "I'm scared" I said falling back on the bed with a huff. I allowed a few tears escape my eyes as I thought back to what I had to do. 'Why did it have to end like this?'

Wiping the tears off my face, I stood before exiting my room. Hearing the television from downstairs, notified me that Jace wasn't asleep yet. I walked into the boys' room to find them lying on their beds sleeping peacefully.

I sighed walking over to Daniel's bed before placing a kiss on his forehead, doing the same to Lee, I walked out of their rooms. "I'll miss you boys, a lot" I muttered in front of their door.

Walking downstairs, I found Jace sitting on the couch with a soda bottle in his hand, his attention fixed on the screen in front of him. Not being able to refrain myself, I ran over to him before jumping on his laps, hugging him tightly; wrapping my legs around his torso and burying my face in the crook of his neck taking in his scent

"I gonna miss you" I said into his neck feeling him wrap his arms around me. I laughed a little knowing he was confused about my sudden action. Detaching myself from hug, I looked at his face. Starting from his jawline to his lips, his nose before finally resting on his eyes.

The same pair of eyes that never cease to amaze me on how they seem to twinkle and shimmer. I felt myself leaning into him but realisation set in my head making me back away from him. "I'm sorry" I whispered, getting off his laps before running up the stairs into my room

I gasped slamming the door behind my back. Tears began rushing down my cheeks as a sob escaped my lips. Running my hands through my hair in frustration, I plopped down on the bed allowing the tears to take control over me

I woke up at the sound of crickets ringing in my ears. Stifling a yawn, I stretched before getting up from the bed. Realisation of what I'm to do set in my head making me run over to my vanity where my watch laid flashing it's neon lights which showed the numbers I was so delighted to see.

It read one am. The perfect time to execute what I had in mind. I grabbed my jacket from the wardrobe before slipping into my shoes which I left beside the door. I twisted the door open grateful that it wasn't one of those doors that seem to creek loudly when being opened

Walking down the stairs, I grabbed my car keys before walking out of the house into my car then driving away from the house, unaware of the set of eyes that seemed to follow me as I left

Getting to my destination, I breathe out trying to get the butterflies to settle in my gut but they didn't, making me rethink what I was about to do but I shook my head 'It's the only way'. I got down from the car not forgetting to lock it. 'You can do this. You're Riele Downs'

Stuffing my hands in my jacket due to the sudden cold weather, I walked over to the water body in front of me. Breathing in the salty air, I opened my mouth to speak "This is for you Jace in hope that you'll gain your memory. Even if the thought of not being in your life pains me so much, I'm afraid this is the only option left"

Pulling my jacket off, I walked a little to the back before running as fast as I could, jumping into the ocean 'It's now or never'. The ice cold water kissed my skin making me cringe. I nodded silently to myself as a tear slipped out of my eyes mixing with the already salty nature of the water

Breathing out the only amount of oxygen I had left in my body, I allowed the water fill my lungs leaving me in pain but it was nothing compared to the pain I feel everyday in my heart. I felt my consciousness begin to slip out of my grasp making me relax a little

'This is the end. I love you Jace Norman' I thought just as I felt darkness surrounding me. I felt something grab me below my armpits but I paid no attention to it, thinking it was a creature ready to eat me but seeing as I was almost dead, the pain would be less severe

What I didn't expect was that someone would pull me out of the water but that was until I felt the wind slap me across the face. I was unable to see the person who helped me but before I could even utter a word, I began to see black dots in my vision and before I knew it everything became black.
