Peter swung through the city. He loved the wind and the rush of adrenaline as he fell towards the ground before he shot a web and caught himself. He felt so free being out and he wouldn't trade that feeling for the world. He was sitting on the roof top, scrolling through Twitter, when his hearing picked up on whimpers. He put his phone up and swung towards the sounds.
When he reached the sounds, he saw two guys cornering a girl. One of them had a knife the other one had a gun. "This should be easy, right?" Peter thought. He hasn't fought in a while and he had to worry about his stitches. Yes, it was still healing which slowed him down a little bit. He jumped down between the girl and the two guys.
"Didn't your mother teach you any manners?" Peter teased. They grinned, which honestly kind of creeped him out. He went for the guy with the gun first. Peter shot a web at it all pulled the gun out of the guys hand. The guy with the knife came running at him but Peter jumped over him, attaching a web to the guys face. It pulled him down to the ground as Peter landed. The other guy was trying to sneak up behind Peter. Peter sensed it and elbowed him in the face without a second glance. "Oooh That looked like it hurt. You might need to get some ice for that."
Peter commented before walking over to the girl who was frozen against the wall. "Hey," he reached a hand out to touch her arm. "You're okay now, alright?" He spoke softly, trying not to scare her. She gulped before nodding. "Call the cops, okay?" He told the girl before turning around. What he didn't realize was that the guy had crawled over to the gun and picked it up. As Peter turned around, the guy shot him.
Peter flinched backwards as the bullet hit him. He knocked the guy out and webbed both of them to the floor. He groaned. "Karen, what's the damage?" He winced as he jumped back onto the building. He needed to get back now. There's no telling what might happen.
"The bullet appears to have hit somewhere in your lateral lower quadrant of your abdomen." Peter groaned as he shot a web to another building and headed back to the tower. He noticed the blood start to drip. He pressure on it with one hand and used the other to swing. He started to feel dizzy. "There's no way I lost that much blood... is there?" He thought. He saw the tower as he swung from building to building.

"Karen, find the med bay." Peter said. A few seconds later, he saw the med bay area highlighted. He swung towards it, feeling more and more lightheaded every second. He reached the roof of the building in front of the tower. He shot a web and pulled himself up so he would land on the med bay
window. Due to his Parker Luck, he passed out in mid air.
His grip on the web loosened and he went crashing through a random window. He rolled a couple times before coming to a stop. He layed, unconscious on the ground, as his blood gathered around him.
The whole class was sleeping peacefully when they heard a window break and a thud. They all sat up, rubbing the sleep from their eyes. MJ looked over at Peter's bunk as Charles asked what that sound was. Her eyes widened. She scrambled out of her blanket dropping to the floor from her bunk. The class slowly got up after her. They had no clue what was happening.
She threw the door open, looking around frantically. Her breath caught in her throat when she saw him. She gasped and ran towards him, sliding on her knees when she got to him. She felt for a pulse frantically, calming down slightly when she felt it. It was weak, but it was still there. She started shaking him, trying to get him to wake up.
The class had finally gotten up and made their way to the doorway when they saw MJ kneeling down beside an unconscious and bleeding Spider-Man. Ned ran over to her, the class following behind him in shock.
"What happened?!" Ned asked and he dropped to his knees on the other side of Peter.
"He got shot. I think the bullet's still in there. He's fading fast." She turned around towards the other teens, her hands pressed against his wound. "One of you get Stark, NOW!" She yelled. She turned back to Peter and whispered. "Pete, you have to wake up."
Cindy and Abe ran up to where they had gotten the pop-tarts the other night. They took the elevator this time. When they got up there, they saw Natasha, Bucky, Clint, and Scott awake, sitting in the couches. Clint and Scott were playing Mario Cart while Natasha and Bucky watched them. The two teens wondered why they were playing Mario Cart at two A.M. The ex-assassins looked over at them curiously.
"Where are they?!" MJ screamed, frustrated and worried. Her hands were completely coated in blood as she held the towel on his wound. She had yelled at them to go get a towel right after Abe and Cindy went upstairs. "Check his pulse!" She yelled at Ned. He searched for it frantically, and started freaking out when he didn't feel it.

Her eyes widened once again. "Hold the towel!" She let go of the towel and let Ned take over. She sat up, pulled her sleeves up, and started doing chest compressions. She let out a frustrated scream. "COME ON! PLEASE!"
She made a split second decision. She pulled his mask off and blew two breaths before going back to chest compressions. The whole class froze as they saw who it was. None of them dared to say a word right now. She was shaking slightly when the elevator dinged. Everyone snapped their heads as Bucky and Natasha ran towards them, Abe and Cindy trailing behind.
Clint and Scott had gotten Tony up who then went to Cho. They were prepping the med bay for him. Bucky picked him and got to the med bay as quickly as possibly. Natasha told them to go back to the room and she would update them as soon as possible. MJ stayed frozen in her spot on the ground as she watched them carry away Peter's body.
The teens all sat in the room silently. MJ sat with her legs pulled in at her chest as she stared at Peter's mask in her bloody hands. Ned sat beside her, while the others sat in a circle around them. None of them said anything as they stared into space or at MJ who stared teary eyed at the mask.
"Will he be ok?" Sally asked weakly as she looked around the circle. Everyone was silent.
"He has to be." Ned replied. "He's made it through worse. He has to be okay." Everyone was in shock at what happened minutes ago. There was a few more seconds of silence before Flash spoke up.
"All of this time... It was Peter. He's saved all of us so many times." He said. "It all makes sense now. DC, all the missed classes, Homecoming. He was out being Spider-Man." The other teens let it run through their heads. It was crazy. The nerdy, awkward kid that they had known for years... was a hero. He risked his life so many times but this time... he might not make it out alive.
"Wait... What do you mean he's been through worse?" Betty asked. She recalled Ned's words. The other looked at him. He sighed.
"At Homecoming, when he left, he went to find Liz's dad. He only had his old suit but he still went after him. I helped track him down. He was at an old warehouse. He brought the whole building down on Peter. He fought him on the beach, where the plane crashed, but he made it out in the end." The teens stared at him as it registered in their brains.
"He had a building dropped on him?" Abe asked. Ned nodded in response. The class didn't know what to do. It stayed silent for many minutes until Pepper walked in. She looked tired and her hair was pulled back messily. She was in her pajamas. They all got up quickly, while MJ stayed on the floor, staring at the mask.
"MJ." She said. MJ stayed unmoving. Pepper walked over, the class watching. She kneeled down to her level and grabbed MJ's hands. MJ finally looked up at her with tears going down her face. "He's okay. Helen managed to get him back and get the bullet out. Once she did, his healing started taking care of it. He's going to be okay."
MJ lunged forward and hugged Pepper. Pepper hugged her back and wiped the tears from her face. Pepper stood up and helped MJ up. "How about... when he wakes up, you can give him that back?" Pepper said, referring to the mask. MJ nodded. She turned to the rest of the teens. "Alright. You guys need to try to get some sleep. You can ask all of your questions tomorrow." She said with a small smile.
The teens nodded and went to their beds. They weren't going to be able to sleep but they could try. Pepper walked out of the room, closing the door as MJ went to the bathroom. She turned on the sink and washed her hands. She scrubbed her hands, the water turning a watery shade of red. She dried her hands off shakily before walking back into the room. She laid his mask back on his bed. She sighed as she closed her eyes.
"Please wake up soon, Peter."
