______________
Peter closed the door to the gym. He took his shaking hands out of his pockets and looked at them. He closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall, taking deep breaths. All of a sudden, he heard a loud bang. He looked up and tuned in his hearing, listening for anything out of the ordinary. He heard Mr. Stark playing AC/DC in the lab, Pepper having a rather angry conversation with someone, Thor and Loki talking to each other, Shuri laughing- "Wait. Thor and Loki?! Oh god. This is not ok. They are not supposed to be here!"
Peter decided to try to find Natasha, brushing off the fact that Thor and Loki were now at the tower. He was still shaken up about what he saw and he believed Natasha could help him calm down. He made his way to the elevator, clicking the floor number that FRIDAY told him Natasha was on. He ran his hands over his face once again, sighing. However, when he opened his eyes, he was in the same place he was just moments ago. He looked around frantically, his breath quickening.
In front of him was a grave. That grave belonged to none other than Tony Stark. A little voice echoed in his mind.
"Maybe if you were good enough... Tony would still be alive." A rotten corpse of Tony's Iron Man suit burst out of the grave. Peter jumped and backed away as it crawled towards him. He hit a tree, unable to back away anymore. A voice echoed repeatedly as he stared as it crawled towards him, tears forming in his eyes.
"Peter!" He gasped lightly as he found himself back in the elevator. Tony was squatted down a little bit to be eye level with the teen. Peter looked around startled, as he stood in the back corner of the elevator. It took him a second to finally focus and realize where he was and who was in front of him. "You okay, kid?" Tony asked, his voice showing slight concern. Peter gulped before responding.
"Y-yeah! I'm good. Why wouldn't I be good? We're both good. A-are you good?" Peter rambled while fiddling nervously with his hands. He looked anywhere but at Mr. Stark during his ramble. He really didn't want to see him right now. It made him feel guilty after what he saw. Tony looked at him skeptically.
"I'm good, Peter. Running on coffee but what's new?" Tony shrugged standing up to his full height. Peter mumbled 'that's good' before staring at the buttons on the elevator. Tony kept glancing over at him as the elevator rose to Peter's desired floor. Peter never looked over, just kept nervously fiddling. When the elevator opened, Peter rushed out with a small 'bye.' Tony looked at where Peter just walked out. He thought for a moment. "Isn't he supposed to be with his class?"

"Wait- Peter!"
Peter was on the way to find Natasha, walking around the tower completely zoned out. He didn't realize what was happening until he ran into Thor as he rounded the corner. They both stumbled a bit, Peter more than Thor. Normally, whenever someone ran into Thor, they would fall do to the sheer strength of the Asgardian. Due to Peter's enhanced strength, it prevented him from just falling to the ground.
"Man of Spiders! What a pleasant surprise!" Thor boomed, making Peter flinch slightly. He looked up at Thor and then over to Loki.
"N-nice to see you, too, Mr. Thor." Peter replied with a small smile. "Hey, Mr. Loki." He gave a small wave at Loki. Peter's thoughts were thrown off track at the abrupt meeting of the two gods.
"If I am correct, shouldn't you be at school as of now?" Loki spoke up. When he and Thor came to visit. They would always have to wait until he came over to intern. They would get to see him because he would normally stay the night when he interned.
"Oh- yeah, uhm, my decathlon team is on a one week retreat here. We go home on Friday." Peter struggled to form an answer, his mind focusing on too many things at once.
"Let us go and meet your class!" Thor exclaimed, walking towards the elevator, Loki following. Peter scampered after them.
"Wait- just don't call me Man of Spiders in front of them, okay? They cannot know under ANY circumstances that I'm Spider-Man." Peter explained, walking backwards in front of them. Thor gave him a questioning look.
"Why would you not want them to know who you are? In Asgard, being known as a hero is of the highest nobilities." Thor explained, still walking towards the elevator. Peter sighed. It isn't the first time Thor needed to learn something about 'Midgardian culture.'
"Because if people know, especially the people I care about, it puts them in danger. And some of them might not keep it a secret." Peter explained, thinking of his classmates and his Aunt May. Thor made a face showing he understood. They stopped in front of the elevator and Thor put his hand on Peter's shoulder. Peter looked at Thor's hand and then up to him.
"Do not worry, Peter. I will not tell your Midgardian friends your secret." Thor smiled at him as the elevator opened. Peter sighed contently at Thor's answer and gave him a small 'thank you' as they all climbed in and made their way down to the gym. Thor threw the door open and greeted his classmates.

"HELLO, Midgardians of Peter's class! I am Thor and this is my brother, Loki!" Thor yelled, greeting the heroes and the teens in the room. Peter flinched as he stood behind him. He walked over to the teens, greeting them one by one after asking for their names. Loki turned to Peter.
"Did you miss me?"
The teens fell down onto their beds, exhausted from all the training they did today. They all groaned in complaint.
"I am so exhausted..." Sally groaned from her spot on her bunk. The teens responded, agreeing with her.
"I want food... but I don't want to get up. My entire body hurtsss." Flash complained. Even the more athletic people were challenged by the Avengers' little training session.
"We could always eat later." Cindy reasoned. Conversations rippled throughout the room as the teens were trying to figure out what they wanted to do. Peter sighed and sat up.
"I'll go get food. What do you guys want?" Some of the teens rolled over while the other sat up. They started asking each other what restaurant they wanted. They eventually decided on Zaxby's. Peter got up and the teens gave him $10 each for their food. He got Happy to drive him there, much to his disliking. Happy just wanted to sleep. They were almost to Zaxby's when Happy got a phone call.
"Hello? Yeah, he's right here. You want to- okay here he is." Happy handed the phone to Peter. Peter looked at him confused. "It's Tony." Peter breathed out a small 'oh' before taking the phone.
"H-hello, Mr. Stark." Peter stuttered, mentally scolding himself.
"Hey, kid. FRIDAY says you left the tower with Happy. Where you goin'?" Tony asked. Peter was reluctant to tell him where he was going. If Tony knew that he was getting food, he would have hassled Peter about not letting him pay. He seemed to do that a lot when it came to Peter.
"I- um," Peter considered lying but remembered Happy was there too. "Zaxby's...?" Peter answered, hoping in the back of his head that Tony wouldn't do anything. It was silent for a second before Tony answered.
"Kid, you never learn. Okay." Tony said, before talking to someone in the background. Peter assumed he was talking to FRIDAY, which was concerning.
"O-okay? Wh-why okay? Why not... not okay?" Peter stuttered out, confused by Tony's lack of arguing.
"It's fine, Pete. I'll see you when you get back." Peter was about to reply when Tony ended the call. He looked at the phone before putting it back up to his ear.
"Wait- Mr. Stark. I don't-" Peter sighed, handing the phone back to Happy.
"You okay, kid?" Happy asked, his eyes glancing over to Peter for a split second. Peter sighed before answering.
"I'm good..." He replied, unsure of himself.
Peter walked into the room of teens, quite frustrated, with everyone's food. The Decathlon team all looked at him, setting down their phones or whatever they were previously doing. They hopped down from their beds, walking over to Peter and their food.
"Dude, what's wrong?" Ned asked as he stood beside Peter. Peter groaned as he answered.
"Mr. Stark found out I left without telling him. He called and I had to tell him I was getting food for you guys." Peter started as he grabbed his food.
"What's so bad about that, loser?" MJ asked, making her way to her bunk with her food.
"Every time I go get food, he always pays for it because they eat so much so when he found out that I wasn't using his money for our food... He kind of bought it." Peter explained. None of the teens knew he was talking about the Avengers that he usually gets food for.
"Wait, Tony Stark bought our food?!" Flash started freaking out along with the rest of the class.
"Umm... not really. I mean- he did but... he bought the whole restaurant..." Peter struggled to get that out. The whole room started freaking out. It's not everyday Tony Stark buts you food... and the restaurant.
The Decathlon team finished eating and settled into their nightly Truth or Dare. Crushes exposed. Secrets spilled. Bonds were born. All was well as they went to sleep.
Peter climbed out of his bed, careful not to wake anyone up. He grabbed the bag with his suit in it and opened the window. He slipped on his mask, and swung away to the nearest building. He finished changing and webbed his bag to the side of the building.
He let out a yell of happiness as he swung around the city, happy to be out again.
Little did he know... his whole world was about to change...

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
