Peter walked into the room of teens who were anxiously munching on pop-tarts and waiting for him. The creak of the door cause everyone to snap their heads towards Peter. He offered a small smile and walked over to his bunk with Ned. They started asking him what was wrong but he just told them he wanted to sleep. I guess being thrown out of a window will do it to ya. He slept on the bottom so Ned could stay up top and talk with the rest of the teens.
He had the same nightmare again. Toomes and the warehouse. He awoke just before 7 A.M. and went up to the commons room. He cringed at the broken window and turned to come face to face to Natasha. He stopped in his tracks as she stared at him. No words were exchanged. She just gestured for Peter to come sit at the table. She handed him a glass of water, noticing the all too familiar face when someone had a nightmare. That was a face she saw in the mirror for a long time.
She broke the silence after a few minutes. "Peter?" At this, Peter snapped out of his daze and looked over to Natasha. He hummed in response. "Try meditating before you go to sleep. It helps." He looked at her questioningly but something in his eyes told her that he knew what she was talking about.
"I don't- wh-what do you mean?" Peter breathed out. He didn't want people to figure out that he had nightmares. He thought it made him seem weak.
"The nightmare. Or nightmares. Meditating helps." She responded not missing a beat. Peter gave her a questioning look as she sat down across from him. "A lot of us have had them. It comes with being a hero. You see things that others don't. Things that may haunt you. Believe it or not, it's normal in our line of work." She explained. Peter didn't say anything, only thought about it.
He felt happy at her words. 'A lot of us have had them.' '...it's normal in our line of work.' 'it comes with being a hero.' He was more than happy she considered him a part of them. The team. A hero. He may or may not worry about what the other heroes think of him. He's way younger than the rest of them. He figured they thought it took away some of his credibility.
"Thanks, Natasha. Really, I appreciate it." Peter replied sincerely, looking down at his hands. Natasha gave a small smile and hummed in response. They sat in silence once more before Natasha spoke up again.
"So, the window... How did that happen?" She asked, watching Peter intently. He grimaced at her words. "Yikes, Mr. Stark is going to kill me."
"Uhh, Redwing threw me out of it...?" He offered a small smile. Natasha just looked at him.
"Okay. Why? He doesn't just throw everyone out of a window." She replied with a grin. Peter gave a light laugh. It was true. Sam seemed to have a thing for throwing him through a window.
"I came to get Pop-Tarts for me and the class and Clint caught me, again. Only this time, he had Sam with him." Peter explained, his eyes trailed to the window once more.
"So now it's 2-1 for the war?" Natasha asked. Peter gave her a surprised look. "How does she know the score?" She chuckled at his face which was obviously confused. She gave Peter a look.

"Come on, Pete. I would know if someone started another war." Peter's face lit up. "And no, I only participate if someone takes it too far... or if I feel like it." She grinned evilly. Her pranks were the best. Anyone who had to feel her wrath was extremely unlucky. At her words, Peter's face fell. He loved it when Natasha helped him with pranks.
The teams were the same as in the Civil War. It was pretty even. Thor was on Tony's side while Shuri was with Steve. She chose this mostly so she could make Peter suffer. The others made sure they stayed separated. They were too dangerous together. Bruce stayed out of it and no one pranked him. It was too stressful for him. Although, last time, someone pranked someone on Tony's side and no one would admit to it.
"Anyways. You should get back to you room. I'll see you soon." Natasha spoke up. Peter glanced up at the clock. It was 7:33. "Holy crap. How long did we just sit in silence?" He sighed before getting up from his seat and putting his glass in the sink. He watched Natasha as she rummaged through the fridge, most likely eating her food before Clint did. He was debating in his head.
It caught Natasha by surprise when she felt Peter hug her from the side. She froze before turning to hug him back. They sat like this for a few before they both let go. He smiled at her and she returned it.
"Bye Nat." Peter waved with a smile as he walked over to the elevator. She smiled back.
"Bye, Pete." And with that, the doors closed. Natasha sighed peacefully before grabbing her food that was carefully stashed away in the back. Peter made his way out of the elevator, walking down the silent corridors. He walked into the room with a push of the slightly creaky door. MJ looked up from her book and watched as Peter walked between their bunks.
"You okay, loser?" MJ spoke, breaking the silence with her whisper. Peter jumped slightly. He turned around to look at her before climbing onto the bottom bunk.
"Yeah. I'm good now." He replied, sighing. He stayed in his spot for a few minutes. He didn't have long before Lauren came in to wake them up. He was restless though. He was fully awake. He got up once again and pulled a bag out from under the bed. MJ watched, a bit confused. He walked to the bathroom and came back out in his suit.
"Where are you going? You only have a few minutes before Lauren comes in." MJ asked, still in a hushed whisper. Peter looked at her as he walked over to the window, opening it quietly.
"The bathroom." He replied with a grin before pulling his mask over his head. He jumped out the window going who knows where. MJ rolled her eyes at his reply and went back to reading her book.
Peter returned without a minute to spare. He closed the bathroom door as Lauren came into the room.
"Rise and shine everyone!" She said as she turned on the lights, earning groans from most of the class. "Breakfast in an hour! Be ready." She said as she closed the door, leaving the teens to wake up. Peter came out of the room in his clothes, bag in hand. He shoved it under the bed before grabbing a change of clothes and walking out of the room. They all made their way to the different shower rooms down the hall.

After they all got a shower, they went to eat breakfast and made their way up to the gym. Needless to say, it was massive. There was a boxing ring near the corner, weapons lined against the wall, multiple punching bags and several mats attached to the floor. Above some of the room, there was a net.
The second layer was a parkour type course with different aerial acrobatic courses over the net. There was a stair case up to the second layer which extended just slightly further than the first floor on one side. It had a balcony that extended over the entire wall with a platform leading outwards towards the net. On the wall under the balcony, there was a sound proof room. The shooting range. It extended under the second layer of the gym.
The class was so distracted with the gym that they almost didn't notice the Avengers in front of them. Almost. The class froze as they saw Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine, Falcon and the Winter Soldier standing in the middle of the room. Hushed whispers of excitement rippled through the teens. This was insane.
"Hello, everyone. It's nice to see you again." Steve started.
"I'm assuming you know us based on the looks on your faces." Clint grinned. They were slightly worried about the events of last night. "Don't worry. My quarrel is with Peter, not you guys." The class relaxed a little but Peter just froze.
"Not even going to ask." Rhodey said, as he rolled his eyes. Bucky gave them a questioning look before Natasha spoke up.
"розыгрыши войн." She said as she glanced over at Bucky. He nodded in response and let a playful smile creep onto his face. Peter internally groaned. Bucky loved to prank him. His class watched the interaction in awe.
"Anyways... Today, you guys will be teaming up with one of us to learn various fighting techniques. It will mostly be defense based but there will be some offense. Towards lunch time, you guys have the chance to 1v1 or if you want to, you can duel with one of us. I think that's it." Steve looked over to Natasha who nodded in confirmation. "Alright, you guys can choose who you want to work with!" Steve finished with a clap of his hands.
Ned and Betty went with Steve, Peter and MJ went with Natasha, Sally and Cindy went Rhodey, Flash went with Clint, Abe went with Sam, and Charles went with Bucky.
"Hey, Nat! This is MJ. MJ, Natasha." Peter introduced the two females.
"Nice to meet you, MJ." Natasha greeted with a smirk. She could see the fangirling in MJ's eyes, but MJ kept her cool.
"Nice to meet you, too Ms. Romanoff." MJ returned a small smile and a small nod of recognition. Natasha's smile grew again.
"I see why you like her, Pete. She's cool." Natasha said, glancing at Peter before looking at MJ. Peter turned a light shade of pink.
"Really, Nat." Peter groaned. MJ glanced at him for a quick second before looking back at Natasha, only to find her looking back.
"I'm kidding." Natasha said, turning around to grab equipment. "Most of the idiots over there will be teaching self defense for the majority of the time, so I'm going to teach you how to fight someone first. You don't have to defend yourself if you take them out first." MJ grinned slightly at her words as they began.
The teens grew tired and sore as the hours went on. Eventually, Steve called them back towards the boxing ring.
"So, how has it been going for you guys?" He asked as the teens layed on the ground. It was hot. Bucky went and grabbed waters for all of them as they groaned in response to Steve's question. "You guys can sit for a few, but... do you want to see us 1v1 each other?" A few of them sat up, eyes wide while the others remained on the floor. Literally all of the teens said yes.
First up: Natasha vs. Clint. Oh, he was done for. He grabbed his bow and arrows while Natasha grabbed her knives. When Steve gave the go ahead, they started circling each other, neither wanting to make the first move. They knew each other and each others fighting styles.
"So... who's going to-" Clint was cut off by Natasha throwing one of her knives at him. He dodged the knife and looked at it as it wedged itself in the wall. When he looked back Natasha was already running at him. She took the first swing and it went from there. There were arrows everywhere. In the ground, the walls, and one in the roof. By the time Natasha was done dodging, Clint was out of arrows. They stood looking at each other, panting. Natasha was by the stairs while Clint was in the middle of the floor. He took a quick glance around. He needed another arrow.
He glanced at Natasha before running towards the wall. He pulled his arrow out of its spot in the wall and turned back towards Natasha, only to find her gone. He pulled the string back on his bow, with the arrow in place, looking for her. He glanced at the teens to find some of them looking towards the second floor. He glanced back to see Natasha running across the balcony. He shot an arrow in front of her, making it wedge into the small wall beside her, causing her to stop. She looked at him.
"You missed." She called out, with a playful smile on her lips. He laughed before responding.
"I never miss." It took only a split second for it to register in Natasha's head. She ran forwards jumping over the glass railing as the arrow exploded from its place in the wall. She landed on the ground, rolling forward to help with the momentum. She panted from her place on the ground, looking at the floor. Clint's grin faltered as Natasha looked up with a deadly look in her eyes.
"Nat... no. I'm sorry. Please don't-" Clint started backing up as he pleaded. Natasha ran towards him. She slid on the ground under Clint, before sweeping her legs across the floor. Clint fell to the ground as she stood over him. She gave him a look that said, 'Get up, I dare you.' She looked at the group with a sweet smile on her face before walking over to them. The stared at her, awestruck.
"Who's next?" She panted looking at the other Avengers. The all put their hands up in surrender, not wanting to go up against her. She looked at the teens as they all shook their heads. "Fine. Time for lunch."
The teens all got up, talking about what they just witnessed. Peter was in the front with Ned and MJ. Ned was talking about how cool Black Widow was, Peter occasionally adding something in. All of a sudden, the hairs of the back of his neck stood up. He turned around and caught the arrow coming at his face. The group stared at him. It didn't quite register in their brains what just happened. It exploded, again, with red and blue glitter. He glared at Clint. He had no escape this time.
"You guys go to lunch." Peter started, glaring at Clint, "I'll be there in a few." The group didn't want to leave but the tone in his voice made them. They waited outside the door of the gym, listening, as Lauren walked up.
"What are you guys-" she was cut off by the teens shushing her. She just stared at them as the hallway fell silent.
"Wait, Pete. We're even right?" All of a sudden, you could hear Clint start screeching louder than a banshee. It was a few minutes before it fell silent again. Peter opened the door, not even stopping at the teens, and walked towards the dining room. They looked into the gym but saw no sign of Clint. The Avengers watched as the Decathlon group closed the door before looking up towards the roof. There was Clint, hanging by a web from the roof.
"3-2. Cap's team."

This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.
