The rest of the week went by as normal. The team was freaking out over the fact that they get to go THE AVENGERS TOWER! Flash kept bothering Peter about his 'internship'. Peter went to the Tower on Thursday to talk to Mr. Stark about the whole situation.
"So, let me get this straight," Tony started. "You want me. To NOT embarrass you in front of your class?" He gave Peter a look that said: 'Why would I ever do that?' Peter sighed and stood up from his seat to pace back and forth before responding.
"Not just you. The rest of the team. I can't risk anyone finding out that I'm actually Spider-Man. And unfortunately for me," Peter turned towards Mr. Stark, "You guys like to prank me... a lot." He gave Tony a look which Tony responded with mock surprise and hurt.
"Me. Prank you?!" Tony responded. "You think that low of me, kid?" Tony shook his head in fake disappointment and clicked his tongue. "Wow" Peter threw his head back in exasperation and groaned.
"I'm serious Mr. Stark! Just... please, get them to NOT do anything to embarrass or expose me! Please?" Peter responded, looking Tony in the eyes and doing a pouty face that was almost impossible to resist. Almost. Tony stared at him before sighing and agreeing.
"Fine. I'll tell them." Peter whispered yelled a small victory 'YES!' to himself. "BUT! Do NOT blame me if they ignore me and do it anyways." Peter frowned at his words but thanked him anyways. "Anytime kid. Now, you need anything else?" Peter thought for a second before something clicked.
"OH! There is something else.."
"All right class! Single file line! Get your permission slips out for me to check and then we will get going!!" Mr. Harrington yelled. They all filed onto the bus and began the drive to the Avengers Tower. It was actually a decent ride there. Along the way, they did some trivia. They had to stop because Abe kept using the bell to call out Flash for being wrong. Apparently, he couldn't use it for 'non-academic purposes.' He saw nothing wrong with it. He was, as he put it, "teaching everyone how dumb Flash is."

Eventually, the team split off and did their own things. MJ was either sketching or reading. Cindy, Abe, and Betty were having an in depth conversation about Flash's stupidity. Sally and Charles were working on a robot design. Peter and Ned, mostly Ned, were talking about the probability of the team getting to meet the Avengers. Flash was just trying to get in a word anywhere.
Then, the moment finally arrived. Excited squeals and amazed looks came from the bus as they pulled in. Mr. Harrington made some speech about not running or touching anything. They were gone before he had the chance to even talk about it. Mr. Harrington came in to listen to the initial speech before he left. They were staying in the safest place in the world for a whole week. The kids didn't need his supervision or protection, and he had other classes to teach.
"Alright! Welcome to the Avengers Tower, Midtown! My name is Miss Porter, but you may call me Lauren if you'd like. So, first things first, we need to get you guys some badges and then I will give you your schedules for the week! You can come up and grab them." She pointed to a table with the badges layed out. "They have each of your names on them and your clearance level." She explained as the group excitedly made their way to the table. "Please keep your badges visible! If you are found without yours, you will be escorted out of the building by security." The class gave each other nervous glances as she continued on.
"If you will follow me over here, we can scan our badges." She stopped speaking and scanned hers.
"Lauren Porter, Intern." F.R.I.D.A.Y. announced from the ceiling. Many of the students looked up and around to try and find where the voice came from. Lauren grinned before explaining.
"That was the towers A.I., F.R.I.D.A.Y. This system is used by most people in the tower, Mr. Stark especially. F.R.I.D.A.Y. was designed to replace J.A.R.V.I.S., Mr. Stark's first A.I. system. Now, if you will all scan your badges and we can get on with the tour and your schedules." Lauren said before letting the group come through.
"Eugene Thompson, Visitor." He looked up as F.R.I.D.A.Y. spoke, a bit startled.

"Elizabeth Brant, Visitor."
"Cindy Moon, Visitor."
"Abraham Brown, Visitor."
"Sally Avril, Visitor."
"Charles Murphy, Visitor."
"Michelle Jones, Visitor." MJ spoke in a monotone voice, "Cool."
"Ned Leeds, Visitor." He looked up before looking at Peter excitedly, "Awesome!"
It seems as Peter and most of his class, minus Ned and MJ, held their breath as he scanned his badge.
"Peter Parker, Personal Intern. Would you like me to inform Mr. Stark of you and the teams arrival?" Peter let out a long breath before responding with a quick smile. "Uh... no thanks, Fri." He joined Ned and MJ as the group continued. He saw some of the surprised looks his classmates gave him and one particularly angry glare. "At least he changed the clearance level." Peter had become a lot less stressed in that small moment. Mr. Stark had given him Avengers level access. He rarely came to the tower outside of Spider-Man but from time to time, Peter did do some actual interning.
"Alright. Here we have your schedules for the week." Lauren explained as she passed out the sheets of paper. "Today, we will be doing the tour and then you guys will get settled in the room. We trust you guys to be able to share a room as responsible high-schoolers. Your bags are in the room now as we speak. Any questions about today?" She looked around as no-one raised their hand or spoke up.
"Okay! Tomorrow, I will get you guys up and you will eat breakfast and then head off to the labs. There you will have a chance to work with Mr. Stark, Dr. Banner, and Mr. Lang. They will teach you many different things and have different projects that you can work on. Any questions?" As soon as she asked, the teams hands flew up. "Yes," she trailed off looking at her tablet, "Eugene?"
"It's Flash, but you're telling me... we get to work with the Avengers?" Lauren made a look of irritation but quickly covered it up.
"Yes, Flash. Throughout the week, you guys will get to work with most of the Avengers." She called on Cindy next. "Yes, Miss Cindy?" The class looked at Cindy as she asked her question.
"You said most of the Avengers. Where are the rest of them?" The class turned their heads back expectantly at Lauren.
"Well, Thor, Ms. Danvers, and the Guardians might be off world as of right now." As she said that most of the girls faces fell. "King T'Challa and Princess Shuri may be in Wakanda still." Peter visibly relaxed at this. The last time he was with Shuri, he accidentally proposed to her. She still hasn't let him live it down. "Mr. Stark said Spider-Man will not be making an appearance." Flash immediately looked disappointed. He spoke up, asking another question, without raising his hand.
"Why can't Spider-Man come?" He interrupted everyone else's raised hands. Peter froze. "What did Mr. Stark tell Lauren?!" Lauren let her sweet demeanor slip for a split second.
"He did not say, but please raise your hand next time." She responded and moved onto the other students questions. After she went through the rest of them, she continued on down the schedule.
"Wednesday, you will be in the training area with Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine, Falcon, and Mr. Barnes. There, they will teach you various fighting techniques and teach you the correct way to use weapons. Later in the day, you will meet with Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange. They will teach you about their powers and... Maybe you guys could convince Doctor Strange to teach you guys how to make the cool portal thingies." Lauren said in a hushed tone and a smile on her face. This only made the group more excited. Peter, however, knew better. They were going to be so sore by the end of all of this.
"Thursday, you guys will meet with Mrs. Stark and the Avengers where there will be a Q&A. After that, you guys get to spend the rest of the day doing whatever you want. On Friday, you guys will pack up, say your goodbyes, and head back to Midtown!" And with that, Lauren answered the many questions to come and started the tour.
"See? I told you it wouldn't be that bad." Ned told Peter as Lauren was showing the team around the building.
"Yeah. It's not that bad." Peter responded but something in the back of his mind was telling him otherwise. Something was going to happen.
